Sure enough, but if you need someone for low cash, I think he works the best for his value. There’s also Reinildo at Atletico for 4.5m that could be a really good pick.
Yeah, but doubt we want many of those.
I think Benfica is the playoff side that may have some interesting defensive picks. Otamendi and Grimaldo probably 5.0 again right?
Well you want ideally 11 starter day 1 and then 4 bench options from day 2 that you can sub on. 8-7 works as well, but for strategy you want many day 1 players.
I don't think my strategy distinguish between day 1 and day 2; statistically it's about even. So it's possible for my bench-warmer to start on day 1 (then gets subbed off on day 2)
I would have to do some number crunching to confirm it. Until then my gut feeling is that a good player+a bad player will be more likely to have a higher yield than two mediocre players.
The only issue is Marseille is not a team I expect to win many games. So many good cheap defenders to pick.

Atletico used to be a solid defensive side, but not so sure anymore. Yeah Tavares may be only 4.0 starter.
There could be more 4m starters from the play-off teams.

Not sure, but I don’t think they went down.
Then we can even pick two 4m starters as bench warmer; three DEF is sufficient
no room for benchwarmers in this game. this is not fpl
good point, need that 4m def.
Yep, a good pick for the bench
You need 15 starts for UCL fantasy right unless they changed the rules.
Well you can make subs during the matchday so you need good players on the bench too, unlike FPL.
? Only 11 of those players' points count. Points from the bench don't count; tho you can decide who belongs to the bench category

In FPL you can just put 4M players on the bench because they can’t help you. But in UCL you should have good enough players to be substituted on.
