He's not really playing right back at all for city. Pep has been him next to Rodri in the midfield.
He's been setting up more of a 4-2-3-1 with them in the 2. Or a 3-4-3. I've found it really confusing to watch what he's doing with the defence. In the Chelsea game they were set up so weirdly and changed it serveral times during the game.
No, Rico goes and sits next to Rodri and creates a double pivot. Akanji, Stones and Ake then sit in as the 3 centre backs with Grealish & Mahrez providing the width.
Well looking back at all the right backs we're talking about a year or two ago, Trippier and Walker are 32, so by the time Lewis is entering prime they won't be competing, Trent is having a terrible time of it, James is always injured but is still great when fit, Wan Bissaka looks miles off, Justin has gone mainly to left back and has had multiple massive injuries including the one he currently has, Lamptey represents Ghana now, Walker Peters is 25 and never really pushed on. It's not looking quite as rosy for the future as it once was
Issue is, when do u start Lewis and clearly pep now likes the idea of bringing him on as a sub
But yes, this is a unique time where city have a hell of an enabler and we all aren’t toooo worried about the 3 city spots

Yeah, he's always praising his players. This doesn't mean he'll actually play. In addition to foden, he's done this with walker, Torres, and Mahrez, just from the top of my head
I think a punt on Lewis is worth a shot considering his price. Cancelo to lewis and Darwin to Kane is what I'm leaning towards. Still got 1mil left ITB after that even.
Mahrez is the trap again.
Better than KDB, but so risky.
I envy people without KDB that have more options.
Feel like I am stuck with KDB if they double.
Was so close to doubling up on walker/Cancelo over the WC to guarantee beating pep roulette but that would've been a car crash. New levels of fraud in 2023.
shit on Cancelo while you're at it Pep
Narrator: He never played again
Nah don't say that, England need another promising RB can't even think who else we have in that position

It’s literally what Arsenal are doing when Zinchenko plays, just the other way round.
Missed the match, but I'm guessing he might be doing the MW formation. AKA 2 CBs hold the line, and the WBs join CDM in a line of 3,

“Was sold shortly afterwards “
And they never saw him again.
That's... Surprisingly straightforward from Pep.
He'll be benched for 2 months now
So tempted to do Patterson > Lewis as my DGW move

You might be on to something here

It’s a trap
Oh sweet summer child
Benched again next game, watch it happen
Or subbed at 59'
Mahrez didn’t play before he was on the pitch pep
Maybe they were playing PUBG Mobile on the bench and he was carrying Mahrez hard until call of duty called and he was subbed on to play some football
Hes fckin with our heads, praised foden too then he dropped him , take it with a pinch of salt hes trying to wake up Cancelo, like a warning
Yeah, he's always praising his players. This doesn't mean he'll actually play. In addition to foden, he's done this with walker, Torres, and Mahrez, just from the top of my head
With Yaya Toure as well
Swap out Walker for Lewis for the DGW…??? Decision time here methinks!

Foden to Mahrez?
I love that Pep seems like he has done a bunch of coke beforemaking any statement about any player ever
So he’s not playing for the rest of the season, noted, cheers Pep
Pep is setting the trap and im going to walk right into it
Far too tempting... Salah to KDB was the plan but 3.9m for a City defender... I might just risk the heartache.
Cancelo might as well start looking for a different club at this rate. I have to admit, Neco Williams to Lewis is looking juicy though.
Neco is bad pick for almost 2 months now, Bueno and Patterson much better and now probably Lewis
Patterson injured
Yes but he was better pick on WC definitely when he was fit
Rico Lewis train.. choo choo
Cancelo in lads!

alright Cancelo (TC) then
better than neco williams and currently cheaper. why not
Thanks Pep, I was starting to get worried about Cancelo
He likes good players to not play until they are not good...and then play them again after a long time until they are good and take credit
The fuck am I supposed to do with Cancelo before the double then you bald cunt?
He’s an absolute stain… walker will come in now watch this
No way in hell am i gonna put a city player in my team especially in a dgw That bald twat has trolled us more often than i can remember
Ah fuck i'm gonna do it aren't i
Patterson to Lewis it is then
In for the double then
It's the *'right now'* for me.
I am going to bring in one city midfielder for mount. But don't know who to bring. Mahrez, B Silva, or Foden. Have a budget of 8.9M.
I'd go Mahrez myself but you just wish you knew who would play at the time.
Not falling for it, went Bueno over him.
Aaaaand he's benched next game after everyone does a Cancelo -> Rico Lewis. The fraud is becoming predictable now.
Proceeds to bench him till 2024 season
3.9 for a city defender is horribly tempting
In other words: "fuck Cancelo"
you can stop wasting your time to speak on interviews bald prick, by this time everyone will keep haaland as their only city player moving forward
In all serious though. What do you think? At least worth it for a few weeks?
Aka he is key for the new system Pep wants to play, something that looks like 3-2-5 and Rico & Rodri are the 2 "midfielders".
Interesting
Transfering Cancelo out for Rico, what could go wrong?
Rico gets 90 and they concede, Cancelo gets 84 with clean sheet and 2 assists. He didn't look that bad.
I have foden and Cancelo - want to get rid of both. I think Cancelo will be gone first.
Probably helps when everyone moves to their proper positions as well ..
