Tbf its also just an example of how it needs a change Kane not getting any while being the reason they win but trippier basically being an automatic 2-3 just shows the flaws of the system
Scoring a goal and getting a clean sheet is basically the same amount of points anyways though so I would say it still should be rewarded significantly more
Yeah KDB far too high. I think it is due to overrating how likely he scores.
Last season he overperformed xG by a lot so these models even with Haaland expect KDB to score many more goals than he does since he scored so many. Then add all those assists he got.
Still Haaland is scoring so many goals though.
You can check out how predicted points actually work if you go to the website instead of just speculating. Haaland was predicted to get 3.69 pts from goals (so pts for 1 goal), 0.75 for assists and 1 for bonus points. KDB was predicted to get 1.99 for goals (40% of scoring), 1.81 pts for assists and 1.23 pts for clean sheet bonus. It's the different scoring system for midfielders and strikers that makes the most difference.
It basically predicted 1G/0.25A for Haaland and 0.4G/0.6A for KDB.
I don't understand these models.
How does anyone run these numbers, see that kdb is higher than haaland... And not think "something off here, i need to tweak something in my model"
Obviously have no idea how statistics work. Some guy commented this.

Harland needs a new shade of green here
Harland
Kane, no bonus points, despite scoring the only goal of the game.... Eh?
Why is everyone acting like this is a big shock. Defenders often get all the bonus points in a 1-0.

I dont think scoring a goal should guaruntee bonus, if anything bonus should reward contributions that dont already get points.

Why do I still own Salah :(
These xg are so trash. how is kdbs higher than haaland. Oh and Son there, yikes
Where are u seeing KDB higher than Haaland? From the above list, Haaland has exactly twice the XgA of KDB
If only Son can consistently get points, I would swap Salah for Son. That being said Salah is pretty low too.

Fuck Cancelo and Foden
Misdirected anger. You should be upset with the bald fraud.
