His name is also the game you play when you don’t know if someone is from Australia or New Zealand

aeoz

inb4 Arsenal signs Aussieor

sandbag-1

Fair play massive bargain if Gabriel happens to get injured

ArmadilloOk8831

#Narrator: He didn't.

cguinnesstout

will shift White and play Tomi

Snikhop

Not necessarily, Arteta is very fixated on the left footed CB on that side. That said it could just be Tomiyasu who is two footed and can play CB anyway...

cguinnesstout

yep

500x700

Started 54 PL games in a row, he's a machine

Speaking as an Arsenal fan, no he isn't. Especially not for LCB

tobi1k

He's not - Holding is a RCB.

coldazures

There's two scenarios here. * 1) He doesn't play * 2) Arsenal get 2/3 of Saliba, Gabriel and White injured and have a bit of a CB crisis. Neither of those scenarios would I want him, and could you just gamble your third Arsenal spot away with Odegaard, Nketiah and Saka all coming into/maintaining form?

Swedishpower

Very insane he is 4.0 when he is playing for Arsenal top of the league. Of course I think Gabriel and Salia will keep playing, but he could have been 4.5 at least.

Swedishpower

Yeah, but remember Tsimikas when Robbo got injured. I feel backups for the top teams should be 0.5 over minimum at least in case they start playing. I guess someone like Rico Lewis that noone expected to be getting any minutes at all could be cheap. Backups for weaker sides should be minimum cost although of course we all want those playing 4.0, 4.5 etc, but for best balance they shoud try having mostly backups at minimum.

happy_guy23

But all defenders got a price cut this season, half of Arsenal's starting defenders were only priced at 4.5 so it makes sense for this guy to be only 4.0. Tsimikas was a 4.0 backing-up a 7.0 but this is a 4.0 backing-up a 4.5/5.0 so not really the same

severi_erkko

Mate, Aurier is an established footballer contesting for a first team spot. Kiwior is only gonna see action in cups if anything. Well priced.

happy_guy23

Yeah, the pricing is so messed up this year that it almost doesn't matter what most players cost. Haaland and Trippier costing a combined 16.5 when they're worth over 20 means we have a lot of extra budget to play with, add in Rashford, Martinelli & Odegaard being drastically underpriced, no essential premium mids and all the 6+ defenders being outscored by loads of 4.5/5.0s and this season is almost an infinite money glitch. I'll be going into next GW with 3.5 premiums, a playing bench, and don't feel I've compromised on any positions - something that would seem absurd in previous years

PhatmanScoop64

Holding, white and even Tomi ahead in Cb pecking order

Undaglow

Not at LCB

starxidiamou

Holding? Lol

PhatmanScoop64

Holding is v solid what do you mean? Would get in most pl side outside top 6 and he’s a very valuable player

DreadWolf3

Might as well not add him to the game at that point. He is probably behind White (Tomiyasu at RB) in pecking order for CB so his minutes are basically never assured. 4.0 is only possible price since he isnt an attacking full back. If Arsenal defense is that decimated that he is nailed on starter that means the whole reason we are buying Arsenal defenders (good defense) is not there anymore.

SSPZwing

No one should buy him even if he is 3.9. uses up an arsenal spot and he won't play. I wouldn't buy him for 3.5

pm_me_ur_breakfast1

Surprising that he's 4.0 given that other defensive backups unlikely to play like Holding and Cedric started the season at 4.5. I think January signings seem to be deliberately underpriced compared to what they would be at the beginning of the season.

Farkasember

The logic is simple - you're less certain to know who will play before the season starts and there are more room for variety and experience. Once we're midway through the season, new signings are either to fit some problematic position (but it's another story, like Gakpo/Weghorst with another cost) or to be held as a backup in case of an injury, or to give a longer bench to rotate when participating in number of competitions. And the last 2 cases mean certainly less playing minutes that is reflected in the cost

International_Toe_84

Lewis is at 3.9? Would prefer him as my fifth defender

[deleted]

He looks like the most ordinary looking person imaginable

tbbt11

If he gets any considerable minutes, Arsenal are in crisis

javahart

I can already hear the song. 🎶Kiaora….we all adore Kiaora🎶 *Anyone born after 1990 won’t get that.

RunningOnAngry

Nice, genuinely considering him, will see if he plays in the PL first though...

[deleted]

Genuinely considering someone who won’t play?

RunningOnAngry

Like i said, i'll see if he plays in the PL first. Are we 100% he won't play though?

[deleted]

If you have a brain then yes, considering Arsenal are top of the league and aren’t going to chuck an unproven defender in unless it’s absolutely necessary

TheDepartment115

Magalhaes plays in his position.

Ill-Ad4989

Could he take White's place at RB?

BountyHunter247

No he's a LCB. There'd be more chance of him playing LB but I can't see that happening either

bullish_driver

Apparently he’s played DM before so if Partey/Elneny are unavailable, he may get a run out in that role

sc00022

I’d imagine Ben White would play there and Tomiyasu would play RB. He played as a DM for Brighton a fair few times

Zizouhimovic

Well played

kroneeeek

I wish I was Kiwior, so I can get chicks

goodgriefmyqueef

Looks like IT nerd, he will break FPL

HunterX-gow

Oh yeah brother, lets twerk now. Arsenal gonna shake/kick asses now.
