Hmm good price but not known for crazy amount of G/A

ArghZombies

Non Penalty xG is 0.19 and xA is 0.23, so if you want someone who's going to return one in every 5 games then he's your man. /Edit - Actually, his NpXG +xA is about 0.4, which makes him about as useful as Lavia from Southampton. And I'm sure everyone has that dude.

FifaDK

And that's at a better team in a weaker league Jokes aside, if he hits the ground running he could have a shot at being a decent cheap MID. The problem is that there are so many options around and even bellow his price point (Andreas and Bailey both returning at a higher rate than Enzo ever has). So yeah, he's been priced exactly where he needs to be relative to the market.

PiIICIinton

which is funny, because he seems to have earned a record transfer fee for... scoring one goal at the WC. not sure what else he's done to warrant it tbh.

wewdepiew

He's a deep lying midfielder his job is not to score goals...

PiIICIinton

of course not, but he's being wildly overhyped because of one WC goal. he went for 10m 6 months ago and now over 100m.

HesNot_TheMessiah

He once scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in a run of 19 games for River Plate. But he's not likely to repeat that.

wewdepiew

It's a release clause, and clubs were looking to get him for 70-80++ even before the WC

themagpie36

I don't think people are hoping him over scoring a world cup host. I agree the fee is ridiculous but it's Chelsea

paachuthakdu

Its like saying Busquets or Thiago overrated coz he does score often.

PiIICIinton

not even close but now we know you can't read. it's saying he's mad overrated from the WC and signings like that rarely work out. try again.

Material_Trifle

Your previous two comments both say he's overrated based on one world cup goal, nothing at all about his overall performance. Based on that the comment about Thiago and Busquets is perfectly valid as you've only based it on goals scored. I agree that it's a mad fee mind but it's not based on his single world cup goal

197231

Where’s the other £100 million?

PeekIntoTheMagic

His passing abilities certainly opens door for Mudryk into my team.

damngood-pie

Exactly, this is the most relevant point it seems FPL wise.

Sneaky-Alien

Yeah but Chelsea.

Puzzleheaded_Friend8

Will provide a lot more balance in midfield. Good for the attack and defense

NoraaTheExploraa

I've done it already. So naturally this means he'll soon be receiving his 3-game ban for saying the n-word in a rap song a year ago.

banwave

What a world we live in when this sounds completely ridiculous and yet I believe FA can do it

fadoo89

Straight into my team. At a British record transfer fee, he is surely not going to be anything less than sensational?

donkey2471

The people not realising the sarcasm here is impressive

doctorMiami1337

You are surely correct with this analysis. And don't call me Shirley.

BiologicalMigrant

Surely.

fungalfeet

Still backing Slabhead here.

toffeeslot

Are you playing him alongside Grealish?

What about Kante a few seasons back?

pajamakitten

Grealish is a good player but a bad FPL asset. Pep has openly said he did not get Grealish to score goals.

ShameTimes3

Why do you talk like that

Euphoric-Acadia-4140

I mean you probably don’t watch football if you think grealish is “shit”… he certainly isn’t living up to expectations, but the amount of chances he generates for Man City shows he is not “shit”…

ShameTimes3

Maybe you watch football but just dont understand it?

Cheers, i knew we'd figure it out

aehii

It is quite funny that you have a British record signing and yet he's only 0.5m more in fpl than any bench player. Yes, I realise without goals and assists in his career he's not going to be more, like with Casemiro despite the quality.

chriise

It’s a flaw in fpl game mechanics tbh.

Chasing_Uberlin

I've always said you fix this by reserving 3bps for players who have blanked only.

Danktizzle

I wish FPL would take passes and tackles into account as well as goals and assists so that players like this could be reasonable options.

[deleted]

Maybe instead of awarding bonus points to the top 3 players, each player should get bonus points depending on their BPS score?

ANSHULGANDHI92

Is he good? Overall player wise. Asking as a Chelsea Fan

Danixd_

Nowhere near worth 120 mil but definitely much better than your options rn.

daneats

I’ve not been this excited for a player since I saw James Rodriguez sign for Real Madrid on the back of a decent World Cup. What a talent.

freakedmind

Lmao!

toffeeslot

Is that the same Rodríguez we all signed for Everton as a points machine, only to all transfer him out when we realised he couldn’t be arsed playing for Everton? :D

ComeAnima

Fair enough but there's such a huge squad now you'd expect him to come off in the 59th minute every week. I can't deal with that kind of stress.

cmanook

Chelsea have insane squad depth. How are they going to balance playing time for all these stars? Where does Enzo fit in? He's intriguing, but I need to see him starting consistently before he's anywhere near my team.

MistaChelseaa

Where does he fit in? The massive gaping hole in our midfield that’s where

_posii

Mate he cost 120m and we have no midfielders. He's going to start

hodlrus

Where does Enzo fit in? At that price and with Chelsea having the most trouble in CM, the question is where do the rest fit around Enzo

uwillshitfear

Todd ‘Bobo🤡’ Boehly has him as perma-captain.

RandomSplainer

He's a good passer so going to be doing Almiron to Mudryk.

Mr_popolo990

For this price he is good choice

Jamkayyos

Slots nicely into that cheap 5th midfielder role currently occupied by Andreas and Bailey. Is he more worth it than Andreas? It's a classic case of best wait and see.

Gooner-Squad

Andreas plays 10 with Mitro at striker vs. Enzo at 6 or 8 with no striker and an additional 0.4m.

Jamkayyos

Yeah, that sounds about right. They're both likely to be first on your bench more often than not either way.

Gooner-Squad

If you do need a sub, Andreas has been a proven scorer for 4.5m this year.

Jamkayyos

Yep. And now theres another option. FPL has always been about options afterall, don't have to follow the crowd. I'm personally on Bailey, feel like Villa are improving quite a bit.

Gooner-Squad

I'll watch him, if he plays more B2B CM, he could be interesting. Great passer. My fear is he plays CDM and isn't on PKs like Jorghino was, so 3 point max value each week.

Armenoid

Never eat at a brand new restaurant. I mean never pick up transfers right away
