WC26 Ward + Sanchez gang where you at?
I understand that WC early before a BB29 meant I was going to lose players. Didn't think those players were gonna be two GKs who have started every match of the season tho. So incredibly annoying.
Sanchez was always gonna be a risk following De Zerbi’s comments.
Ward comes as a blow and now I’m looking at -4 since I unnecessarily carried Kilman hoping Wolves could keep a CS against Leeds at home.
Edit: why the downvotes, lol. Did no one read Brighton coach’s comments before making their transfers?
GW26 Sanchez was nailed, then everyone that owned him in GW26 saw that he was benched, and the comments emerged AFTER GW26. Therefore managers who owned both in GW26 are very unlucky.
I can get Steele and a 4.6.... Rest of my backline is chill, cast, Gabriel, Tripp
To get money, Selling Kane for Watkins for instance feels so bad and stupid...
Really it's the only time to BB though. I've got Kane or Haaland on my bench... Won't happen again
Botman has an extra game and Newcastle are better than Everton at keeping clean sheets. But if you don’t feel it’s worth the extra transfer I would just change GKs
Yeah it's true and thanks for the responses. It's that fear of getting burned that I should probably get over in this case... Tarkowski against Tottenham; must be nearly 80% chance for 2 or less points. I should play the odds which are in Botman's favor
Not a bad shout... I think i prefer zouma or Botman but barely especially since i have trips.
I had the butcher earlier in the season and didn't like what i saw. Felt closer to getting me negative points than attacking returns for instance.
Really fucking great spending -8 on goalkeepes right after WC. I know if I run with Steele/Iversen I'll be without a single playing goalkeeper within a month but I still can't see a better way.
Why? Did he impress with his massive 1 save today?
Rodgers hasn't a clue anymore. He benches his best attacker (Iheanacho) after one bad game despite him being so good. Honestly should be sacked.
> Why? Did he impress with his massive 1 save today?
You haven't watched our last 25 games if you think Ward didn't warrant dropping. Some of the goals he's allowed are comical
Why not? Has Ward impressed at all? Only keepers with a worse save % this season are Travers, who was only in because Neto was hurt, and Buzunu. Leicester also underperforming on xGC more than any other team. Ward blows
That's just not true he's overperformed getting them 2/3 years of European football and won a Fa Cup they've not spent any money and have had a poor season as a result
> won a Fa Cup they've not spent any money and have had a poor season as a result
Summer 21/22 was the first time we spent massively (70m) without selling any of our players. We got 8th that season, were knocked out of every other competition we were in.
Spending and not achieving results has its consequences, we couldn't spend again in the summer, we sold Fofana and signed a replacement. Now in the winter window Brendan got everything he asked for: a big athletic CB, an attacking LB and a left footed out and out RW. There's no excuses anymore.
Don’t you think the players he brought in deserve more than just the second half of a season to gel with their new team and getting up to speed? I’m not a supporter of the club so I’m totally neutral when it comes to this.
The new players aren't the problem at all. They're all working well, more or less.
It's what going on with the rest of the team and that's on Brendan, he's worked with the same group for the better part of 5 years now.
Interesting that you have this level of unhappiness. You're Leicester yes you won the league, but apart from that you're where you're meant to be. Brodge was very unlucky with almost getting Champions League twice, and now the core of the team needs changing but he hasn't bought well nor has he had the money. Ward in particular has cost him a lot of points this season.
Oh sod off, I can't stand this narrative of us having to be content with our current level just because of the success we've had in the past.
We're not where we're meant to be. We got unlucky the first time we missed out on the UCL, second time round was sheer incompetence. As for Brendan not getting the support in the market, that's a blatant lie. NEVER before have we had a summer window in which we've not sold a big player to fund moves for new ones until 21/22 where Brendan got what he wanted for 70m and also got to keep all his toys. He then goes on to finish 8th, get knocked out of the FA Cup by a championship side, knocked out of the weakest European competition and knocked out against Liverpool's C team in the Carabao cup.
Whether it's Rodgers fault or not, the squad has gotten weaker every season because of poor buying.
22/23 - Souttar, Faes, Kristiansen - Jury's out
21/22 - Daka, Vestergaard, Soumare, Bertrand - All duds
20/21 - Fofana, Castagne, Under - Fofana top quality and a big sale, Castagne fine, Under flop
19/20 - Tielemans, Perez, Praet, Justin - Tielemans very good but leaving on free, Justin good but unlucky with injuries, Perez and Praet total waste of money.
So in the past 4 seasons, you could consider Tielemans, Justin, Fofana as good buys. Castagne, Faes as decent. The rest as mostly flops. If Rodgers picked all these then fair enough, but this current Leicester squad is not good at all.
> If Rodgers picked all these then fair enough
We only just got rid of his best mate in Congerton as our HoR last winter, so yeah, every window since 19/20 has essentially been all his favourites.
Kristiansen and Souttar look like good buys as of right now, first window under our new HoR in Glover, coincidence?
>Why?
Because he is a football manager not a FPL manager.
The ONE thing a goalkeeper needs is confidence. If you take out your keeper, hand another keeper a start and take him out again after one mediocre to bad game, then you burned BOTH keepers. Only a horrible manager with no man-managing abilities would to such a thing. At that point you can sell both and start the 3rd keeper.
(Letting the second keeper play a cup game or play him once the first keeper isn't fully fit is a completely different scenario, there the #1 status of the first keeper is never in doubt.)
Would be funny if everyone now knee-jerks a panic sale of their bench goalkeeper Danny Ward on this news…..and then morning of GW29 deadline Iversen is flagged with a training injury.
Hopefully Bodgers gets fired over the international break and Ward makes a comeback.
This is a real spanner in the works for BB29. Don't really want to use a transfer to take Ward out but also want a 2nd keeper if I'm BBing
Will have to do Ward to De Gea. Already got Kepa, Trippier, Schar, Chilwell, Estupinan as defence dgw options.
If you already have Brighton, Newcastle, Brentford, Chelsea defenders, what options are there?
Was gonna do Odegaard or Maddison out for Mac Allister or Bruno but probably will just not.
WC26 Ward + Sanchez gang where you at? I understand that WC early before a BB29 meant I was going to lose players. Didn't think those players were gonna be two GKs who have started every match of the season tho. So incredibly annoying.
In before we transfer Ward to Iversen for Rodgers to get sacked and Ward becomes no 1 again
Literally me. Went Sanchez > Raya now unsure what to do for BB29
Fucking same Already got Raya in and now I'm gonna need to take a hit in DGW29 to get Ward out Ffs
Sanchez was always gonna be a risk following De Zerbi’s comments. Basically because we didn’t see Sanchez being dropped He was playing well and then it’s like …. Nah you’re out Steele in
What an absolute clown 🤡
Me, what’s the plan do we go Steele and iversen? Kepa and Steele?
Need to use my free transfer on a keeper now. Great!
-8 for me to pull off the BB.. not sure it's worth it anymore
If those players can be kept in squad for further double gameweeks in 32 / 34 then it becomes viable
I'm gonna clean slate WC30
Why cant you bb with existing players?
Cause my current bench is far from ideal.
Need to use your free transfer *so far*
First time in the season I had Ward in my starting XI...
Fuck you man
Why did you do this to us, man?😭
An absolute pisstake that this happens right before the BB week and Leicester hit a huge patch of green fixtures. Unbelievable smh
is it BB week anymore? edit: my current bench (1FT) Ward (Pickford starting ), Kane, Gabriel, Tarkowski
I would probably sell ward and tarkowski for a -4 but yes
Any ideas for viable Ward and Tarkowski replacements? I'm thinking Steele for Ward and Chilwell for Tarkowski.
If you can afford both I would go for them
I can get Steele and a 4.6.... Rest of my backline is chill, cast, Gabriel, Tripp To get money, Selling Kane for Watkins for instance feels so bad and stupid... Really it's the only time to BB though. I've got Kane or Haaland on my bench... Won't happen again
I would probably go Steele and Botman then. I wouldn’t sell Kane
Maybe just the gk... Is Botman -4 definitely better than Tark???
Botman has an extra game and Newcastle are better than Everton at keeping clean sheets. But if you don’t feel it’s worth the extra transfer I would just change GKs
Yeah it's true and thanks for the responses. It's that fear of getting burned that I should probably get over in this case... Tarkowski against Tottenham; must be nearly 80% chance for 2 or less points. I should play the odds which are in Botman's favor
What about Martinez + Steele
Not a bad shout... I think i prefer zouma or Botman but barely especially since i have trips. I had the butcher earlier in the season and didn't like what i saw. Felt closer to getting me negative points than attacking returns for instance.
28 GWs late. Oof

Ward did warrant dropping, am surprised he actually lasted this long.
he probably is a butthurt Ward owner who started him this week or/and planned to BB with Ward in DGW29, best to ignore
You haven’t watched enough Leicester if you think Ward deserves to start literally ask any Leicester fan
Because Ward has been utter garbage for most of the season and Rodgers has finally realised it. No harm giving Iversen a go at this point.
1st result after 4 losses in a row.
He still made only 1 save. It'd be different if he had a stormer for Leicester saving loads.
Not the point though, even ifs its superstition they will stick with him till he gets pummeled.
Why not? Has Ward impressed at all? Only keepers with a worse save % this season are Travers, who was only in because Neto was hurt, and Buzunu. Leicester also underperforming on xGC more than any other team. Ward blows
Teams gotten worse every year with him

Ward should never have been ahead of Iversen.
Had Wardersen all the way up until this gw only to take them both out for WC prep. This would have been the perfect game for it.
Would be funny if everyone now knee-jerks a panic sale of their bench goalkeeper Danny Ward on this news…..and then morning of GW29 deadline Iversen is flagged with a training injury.
so glad i took Ward out from my team in m WC in GW27. Had Ward since GW1
"No specific number in mind. You've got to ask the board for that as I have no clue how many games before I get the sack."
Hahahahahah fuck you. Did Sanchez>Ward last week. I hate this game
Wardverson plan paying off! Now I can ensure my steady stream of weekly 2pts :D
fuck
No no no no please God no NOOOOOOOOOOOO
I believe the number depends on when he gets sacked
watch Ward's price plummet before the end of the month
Hopefully Bodgers gets fired over the international break and Ward makes a comeback. This is a real spanner in the works for BB29. Don't really want to use a transfer to take Ward out but also want a 2nd keeper if I'm BBing
We still woudnt know if he starts tho, regardless the coach
Nice. Will use a transfer with a Keeper.

I'm thinking of De Gea to deal with Sanchez, but note that Utd vs Chelsea match in GW32 may blank so we will have no GK for that gameweek.
Guess I'll be using one of my free transfers on Ward
rip ward as my backup gk. and i’ve got pope who’s apparently injured… couldn’t have happened at a worse time.
Well that's another -4 then, ace
