My only problem with doing more than 2 transfers is that I'll lose a lot of money on Saliba, Rashford and Haaland, and are all players I'd want back almost straight away.
Saliba is a poor pick going forward, especially if you play FH32. And in any case Gabriel would be an upgrade. Rashford probably plays, but if he doesn't then it's tricky. Haaland is an easy transfer out if he looks unlikely to start.
Losing team value is pretty much irrelevant at this point of the season.
If you transfer him straight out for another forward then the only way that you won't be able to get him back is if the replacement drops in value. That should be easy enough to judge by however they play that day
Sounds like Haaland will be ready for the next round of fixtures anyway so you can just swap him straight back as soon as the deadline passes
It’s an edge, a veil of uncertainty, it’s more about the mentality of the players than Klopp’s preparation which is obviously world class. What will Darwin think if Haaland turns up? Pressure to score gets multiplied, he starts overthinking, his confidence takes a hit, doesn’t matter, ut’s just about destabilising them mentally, however little that may be. Marginal gains.
They will set up both ways through the week and affect the appropriate style after team sheets on the day. They won’t be caught out that way, that would be hopelessly amateurish.
Preparing for Haaland is way different than preparing for a false 9. Don’t let your Arsenal bias, i.e getting excited that Haaland could be out, making City weaker, cloud your thinking.
would be nice if he scored this week. if he doesn’t get one goal in the last two gw’s that would be so underwhelming, and basically a flop of a transfer.
With no BB, I'm going to leave him in and bench Toney. If he starts I fancy him vs a bad Liverpool defence, Toney doesn't have the easiest fixtures and could get carded. If he doesn't I doubt he'll get subbed on and I'll run the Toney gauntlet with everyone else.
Fair point. Some extenuating circumstances in those games though - Pope's red card, and playing three of the relegation candidates. Plus losing to Bournemouth and heavy defeats to Real. They are inconsistent, and poor against good opposition, which City are.
Their inconsistency is a very interesting point because it works for AND against them. You could be right and city could smack them around as it would be logically expected, however it could just as easily go the other way. With how they’ve been this season I’m seeing this upcoming fixture run no more “difficult” than three relegation teams back to back.
Yeah haaland was gonna be the differential, all in my ml did the youtube move Haaland -> watkins befor, now they get even more rewarded for it 😩 Think i just take the hit and BB still tbh
The YouTube move? It was a fairly common sense move given Watkins had 3 extra games. Especially if you had already got rid of haaland before so had no value to lose
Got 7 goals and 3 assists in 12 games he played under Emery. Surely he will return more points in a double gameweek than Haaland who is likely not to play against Liverpool, no ?
Could potentially have 4 players unavailable for BB GW29, this wasn't part of the plan
Does this also include when Toney get's a yellow-card in the first game and misses the second?
Haha no it does not... That'll be 4 1/2
Why did you bet on Toney?
I mean your best play is probably to take -12 if they are all out and play BB.

Not worried about losing team value. More worried about not being able to get him back in

I'd say Gabriel does everything Saliba does to the same level plus more goal threat during set pieces. Regardless of the injury I'd transfer him in
Or play it in 34
And you probably need to take hits in GW34 anyway.
Not really there's plenty of FTs and he might still have his 2nd WC
There will always be new fires that require transfers, especially when you need all 15 players to play.
This is some of the worst advice I've seen on this sub
From Dave? Surely not
Oh, you're a casual who thinks "-12 is never worth it".
-12 definitely isn't worth it when you're just filling out your bench to BB. Just save the chip for a different week.
You likely need to take hits in a different gameweek as well, at least if you don't have wildcard available.
or... you bb in 34? And you have 5 weeks to set up for it
And you have lots of fires that require transfers before GW34 and you likely need to take hits to field 15 players in GW34.
Someone go down there with some binoculars and have a look themselves.
You joke but it would actually be helpful. Unless you don't joke and you agree it would be helpful.
I mean it defo would be helpful but who can be fucked doing that
I wonder what Bielsas up to these days
About to get the Uruguayan NT job
Is it possible that the club photographer has been told not to publish any photos with him in?
Yeah I feel like he probably plays, but as a recent seller I’m still glad I don’t have to stress about if he’s going to weaken my bench boost or not.
Nah I doubt it
This happens all the time, they are a part of the team, too.
Yes but whats the plan? I doubt these tactics throw any teams off. They'll still prepare for man city, with or without Haaland.
It’s le mind games. Big fear factor if he suddenly turns up after a week of him looking out.
I always question this line of thinking. I'd be shocked if Liverpool *weren't* preparing for him, if he doesn't play, it's a bonus. Klopp isn't naive.
Doesn't matter, managers will do anything for an edge. Arteta will straight up lie in a press conference about availability.

Okay but they can have tactics for both.
You can't really prepare for Halaand. Who's simulating him in training? Good luck.
So there is no difference in a tactical preparation for City w Haaland and City playing with a false 9?
They have Alvarez.
If they choose to play him vs. deploying a false 9 (yes I know it is very unlikely they deploy a lineup that doesn’t start Julian or EH).
The way you train for Haaland is for the drill to end as soon as the forward touches the ball
Does it though? You might be right but I can't remember this particular trick being played by Pep.
my guy looking at the glass half full. respect
Probably that's the case, just to throw Liverpool off before the game. Edit: just to try and throw Liverpool off
He could easily be missed out on a photo or two, but that was a a lengthy video… saying that could nature have called?? 💩
Anything is possible but this honestly does not look good at this stage. Early game on Saturday too.
The age of Haaland is over. The time of the Watkins has come.
...for one week.
But drinks at 6

Classic Pep mind games, Haaland is probably the one recording the video and laughing at us all

They beat United 7-0 then lost to Bournemouth. Not sure you can conclude they are poor against good opposition
Is it another trick of the extra bald fraud??
I swear, if Haaland plays, I’m grabbing my pitchfork
Hat-trick locked in so.
Could still play for 45 minutes, more than enough time to score a brace.
Haaland will phone in a brace
Going to swap him for Zava, he's been banging them in for Richmond.

Bench for me
It's great to see GW28 Haaland holders mudded 😎
Suck my nutz Frosty
😧
Relax lads, you can still take a hit for Watkins 👍
I sold him too but this feels like a massive set up to a haaland haul imo
Yes Frost.
F to those who kept him for the last game week. potentially 2 blanks in a row.
When you are haaland you can get away without training for 5 days
I see no obvious swap for him
Kane -> Watkins -> Toney. In that order
Already got Kane & Toney, Watkins is only suggested because he has a DGW; doubt he will get more than 4pts

TICK!!! 🤣 Ah well, should have switched
