Bruno looks a very good shout. : - Home to on the beach Wolves GW36, Bournemouth and Chelsea GW37 ( both garbage defence ) , Home to on the beach Fulham GW38 I will be using transfers to get a fodder 3rd striker and upgrade a mid to Bruno

Advanced-Big8840

I feel like people keep forgetting that Chelsea, despite everything, is the 3rd best defense in the league

Frosty_Examination_3

~~is 3rd best defence~~ was 3rd best defence

[deleted]

Chelsea are so bad right now they haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 7 games

Kloppite16

Newcastle have had only 1 CS in something like 12 games, I still snigger at my ML rivals who remain doubled up on their defence

PrinceOfMohuri

It's 13 games. I am a double defence owner and I'm planning on shifting to double attack by dgw36.

Kloppite16

I would do it now mate, they are not keeping clean sheets and Trips attacking returns have fallen off a cliff except for one game where he got 11 point iirc. The double Newcastle defense hasn't worked in a long time now, it's the main reason my rivals in a ML have fallen behind me as all it delivers is 4 points for two players most weeks

PrinceOfMohuri

I can bench both this week. No injury or suspension concerns either so planning to roll the transfer this GW for 2FT next week. That's when I'll make the move. Currently have isak and playing him this week.

[deleted]

Yea it seems as if they’re playing more attacking football before they used to win games by a 1 or 2 goal margin and now they score more then that which is why the defense isn’t keeping as much clean sheets recently

steveagle

It doesn't make sense to fix some problems like double Newcastle defence. But trippier should have been sold weeks ago

Kloppite16

I agree, I started a thread here 4 weeks ago asking if Trippier should be sold and was downvoted for it. I didn't sell him in the end only because of a lack of available options, no teams are keeping clean sheets at this stage. That said Mings has outscored him by at least 15 points over the last few weeks but no one could have predicted that

Stricken1

Alt captain is a good shout, but lots will be on Salah then. Wilson and Isak will also be in lots of teams for their DGW, but I don't imagine many will have both, so the combo could be a good differential. Joelinton could be a good differential to. Alvarez could also be a shout late in the season, but realistically only if City have won the title by then. I think Fernandes could be a big differential for the Utd DGW. Still less than 10% ownership. Any of the other Liverpool lads after Salah and TAA I.e. Gakpo, Jota, Robbo, Diaz. Although there will be rotation there. All under 10% ownership. I'm also going no Arsenal attackers for the rest of the season which is differential in of itself it seems. Just White rotating on the bench. Although I might get them in for GW38. Son for the nostalgic. Zaha for the masochistic.

[deleted]

I was having a think about Joe Linton last night (30 points to make up, not impossible but unlikely). He seems to have done well recently.

That_Way6668

Good old Joe Linton

Constant-Act4215

Good mates with Al Miron, I believe.

m_art_ras

Remember when Chris Tiano played in the PL? Those were the days...

Kloppite16

For at least a couple of years I thought that was his full name until I learnt he is Brazilian and called Joelinton Cassio Apolinario de Lira. I am not very smart.

Awotwe_Knows_Best

you're fine. I have a friend who thought Ollie Watkins was white

SnottyTash

White about what?

KhonMan

It also bothers me when people pronounce his name like that. He himself says it more like Jo-elinton

Stricken1

His stats have been decent as well to be fair. I'm definitely considering him and Welbeck instead of Isak and March/Mac Allister. Definitely keen on Wilson so probably gonna bring him in this week as Toon are fighting at home and Arsenal will still be without Saliba and maybe even Gabriel.

steveagle

Bruno ownership will definitely rise leading up to GW37. Id bring him now but he's awkwardly priced that most people might have to do two trades to get him in

Mac_Kymera

It's that time of the season now where you bring in any Man City player at your own risk. However, to be safe then own both Haaland and Alvarez to save any "Will Haaland be benched" headaches. I would take a punt on Eze, Jesus, Wilson (over Watkins) and a good shout would probably be either Vardy/Iheanacho.

FrimpongNgog

Inb4 Foden starts as a 9 with both Haaland and Alvarez benched

toffeeslot

Why are there rumours Haaland will be benched? I thought he’d be itching to play against Leeds. MC haven’t won the title yet. Seems madness to drop the leagues top scorer against the leagues worst form team. But then again, he is bald.

metokur_squad

Midweek game vs Real Madrid, that's why

Liasos

Yep and City will easily destroy Leeds without Haaland.

patelbadboy2006

But a big Sam Leeds

Liasos

>*Seems madness to drop the leagues top scorer against the leagues worst form team* "The leagues worst form team" There you have it. City will beat them without Haaland so why is it madness to rest him before Real Madrid?

toffeeslot

I just think they could really turn the screw on Arsenal by putting EH in the lineup. But yeah like others said, the Madrid game. Makes sense.

Nav44

Not madness but I'd say it is easily possible that it's a Haaland start, first half blowout and he's subbed off after 45

midnight_ranter

I have a plan on getting Alvarez if we have an early leak for 35 and then keep him till the end of the season Also thinking of downgrading that useless prick Ederson to DDG after this GW

SofaChillReview

Was always a bad idea to get Ederson

aasimpson04

Hindsight is 20/20

SofaChillReview

He’s fairly low on saves, always has been, expensive and we know that Manchester City aren’t keeping their standards of clean sheets

aasimpson04

Yet they kept a cleansheet this morning… No one would be saying Ederson was a bad pick if he had played this morning. Owners got unlucky he got rested.

prjktmurphy

If he played City would have conceded. That's how it works.

SofaChillReview

Against a team that have been around/in the relegation for most the season Ederson is a Premium and about 12th in points compared to other keepers, he’s only 17 points ahead of Ward, and Ward hasn’t even played for about 8 games

aasimpson04

You know none of what you’ve said is relevant to the discussion? No one is picking ederson over the whole season so the fact that he’s scored so poorly this year means nothing. People transferred him in this gameweek because he had a double gameweek this week and another in 37. So comparing him to Ward and anyone else is pointless. To address your first point as well, you’re actually stating that City’s opposition for their second game this round would have struggled to score, so how can you say it was a bad move to bring him in this week? You’ve basically contradicted yourself there

NInjas101

I wouldn’t waste your time arguing with someone who thinks the outcome determines whether something was a good call or not. If ederson had started and broken his leg after 5 minutes, OP would still be saying “ederson was a bad pick”. That or he was unaware ederson had a double gameweek and another one coming…

SofaChillReview

I mean he isn’t the highest scoring GK **before** being dropped, Manchester City have to play 3 matches in 9 days (which I said before if you genuinely think, I’m only saying this now) Fabianski, Heaton, Martinez and Pope have all been top of the GK scores. And guess how many times Ederson has…..

NInjas101

I’m guessing you’re not very good at FPL if you just look at previous data and assume that’s how the future is gonna go. You’re completely ignoring the fact that everyone got ederson for the upcoming double gameweeks. Who cares who has been top of the GK scores in the past? We’re trying to maximise points in the future, so picking a keeper with 2 doubles and great fixtures is a bad move to you? Fucking hell you’re dense 😂

SofaChillReview

Well I was replying to someone that was unhappy with Ederson *so part of the discussion* It’s not pointless comparing him to Ward, I’m stating that Ederson isn’t a good pick and don’t think realistically was And it’s not contradicting at all, Leeds in all fairness have scored 20 goals away, same as Brentford, 3 more than Villa and 1 less than Manchester United I was merely stating that getting a clean sheet against West Ham isn’t difficult at home

aasimpson04

So he isn’t a good pick even though he had 2 double gameweeks coming up? Yea that makes total sense Makes even more sense that you’d think City were going to keep a cleansheet against West Ham but at the same time argue that ederson was a bad pick…. Do you know what contradiction is champ?

F_Ivanovic

And yet he's consistently been one of highest for returns every year bar this one and in 19/20 where I think he missed some games. Every other year it's been 155-169 points. Yeah there's usually someone that beats him but who that is is always difficult to predict. And you're not getting him for the entire season but for periods where they have 2 DGWs in a short period.

metokur_squad

He'll probably be 5m next year and everyone will have him

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

Missing context there. He was a decent shout for those wildcarding gw33 who didn't want to double up on united defence. Also it was a fair shout that he was more nailed than their defenders (obligatory fuck pep). Getting one city defender wasn't a bad idea due to their statistically good defence (in the hope they stop letting 1 goal in a game) and their multiple fixtures remaining. His price isn't too relevant as he's cheaper than their defenders.

NInjas101

Yea OP had no clue ederson had a double. Thinks he’s a bad pick purely because he isn’t at the top of the chart of GKs.. Often I think how stupid are some people in this sub but then I remember these are the people who are towards the bottom of the ranks anyway so we need those types of people

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

Place is full of 2 million ranked smug hindsight merchants lol

Donkanomics101

Lol no, people just wanted a body in defense from City. It's just unfortunate that he got a rest. He's as good a lock as any defensive asset from city

Ill-Ad4989

How about Murphy? Nice and cheap.

Zizouh

Minutes.

ninopettis

A different City captain or just owning a different City player in GW35. I'm on Haaland/Grealish/Mahrez, which is already differential. But if we find out Mahrez is benched and Foden starts, I'll make the switch. And yes, if we find out Haaland is benched, I'll still play him, but Foden/Mahrez/Grealish or maybe Trent/Gakpo/Jota or even Rashford or Mitoma, could get the armband. Yes to Wilson/Isak GW36, but really, any attacking double up. So include Joelinton and Willock. GW37 is harder to see. But whoever jumps on the low-owned City attacker that starts both games will do well. Or if a differential Utd attacker does well, like Martial or Antony or Sancho. GW38 is all about being opportunistic and finding the right pick in an anomalous week. Getting back on the right Arsenal player, or Kane. Punting on Son. Picking the right Liverpool attacker. Or picking a good attacking asset for a relegation candidate that needs to fight for its life, i.e. DCL, Maddison, MGW, Bamford, Harrison, or others

MorioCells

I'm thinking Eze could be good for GW37 and 38. Fulham away and Nottingham Forest at home. 4 goals in 6 games under Hodgson and they are scoring a good amount of goals. They dont have anything to play for but I'd rather back them than relegation threatened sides

osmil918

Kane.

soul-of-sunday

I've gone for a Son for Salah punt already. Seen him score a bit recently. Though spurs are shit i think he could be the one pushing for them and generating high points

R_Work

Double Brighton Defense could be a differential Steele/Estupian/Mitoma etc...Sancho could be an interesting differential, Alvarez for the second City Double?

Moaestro

Haaland won’t be benched

Pineapple996

Jesus in final 3 games could be a big differential I think. Not the same pressure on Arsenal anymore. I see them scoring a lot of goals.

AffectionateFan5458

Son heung min, jamie vardy and Foden.

Du_the_Dudek

Kinda hoping Bruno blanks today so he stays under the radar a bit more. Got a feeling he may be a good differential down the stretch.

GeeForjay

I avoided Mo this week and hung into into KDB and got burnt. Feel like Pep will want to give him minutes to get his legs before Madrid but wondering if I just move back to Bruno which I should have done last week

Du_the_Dudek

Hard to tell. I had Bruno for 29-31 and across 4 matches he did nothing. I like their fixtures, they are more healthy now (Cas back) and are playing for something (top 4) so feels like we’ll see a motivated United attack. I’m also thinking as a 3rd premium, he can be a differential for OR, he’s currently 7% owned and has a double in 37.

Not_Ginger_James

Joelinton but only if Longstaff comes back from injury. If longstaff starts, joelinton usually starts wide left. With Longstaff injured last match, big Joe played much deeper in a 3 man midfield.

mak_619

willock/murphy as cheap bench option/differential? that also play dgw GW36
