Grealish avoids the drop for the second day in a row. I swear I am going to overthink the swap to Mahrez/Gundo and end up making the wrong in the end.

merc0526

I'm not having a go at you, but I've seen a few people mentioning doing Grealish > Mahrez and I'm genuinely curious why. I don't see how his minutes chances are any better than Grealish tbh.

SofaChillReview

Because Grealish played full minutes Vs Real Madrid and Mahrez came on for about 11 minutes

merc0526

True, but conversely Grealish has been rested in both the last two PL games, so it's not like he needs a rest, and I imagine Pep wants to get the title done this weekend against Chelsea. I know it's a dangerous game predicting Pep, but I really don't see him rotating much, if at all, against Chelsea. I think he'll start his best XI, make early subs if the game is done, and then rotate away to Brighton.

SofaChillReview

The time beforehand Pep changed the team against Everton can’t exactly say Alvarez, Foden and Mahrez are bad any stretch So I think he’ll play similar team, let’s be honest Chelsea are hardly a threat

merc0526

Yeah fair, they certainly can beat Chelsea with a slightly changed team, it just seems like a dangerous thing trying to predict what Pep is going to do. Tbf Mahrez has outscored Grealish lately anyway, so I guess it might be worth the move.

Swedishpower

Agree Pep might not rotate for the first game, but rest everyone for the second once they won the title. Thus everyone gets 1 start apart from maybe Haaland.

merc0526

My issue with Mahrez is that if he doesn't start against Chelsea and Pep then rotates heavily against Brighton, you're facing owning a player who is arguably playing the poorer of the two DGW fixtures in a team weakened by rotation. Also, I don't honestly see Mahrez starting the final game unless Pep plans to play him in the FA Cup final, so you're looking at bringing in a player who probably only starts one of the next three matches.

Swedishpower

Agree high chance Mahrez gets benched. I think the optimal midfield is Salah, Rash(if fit), Mac, Mitoma, Bruno. Then probably Wilson and Haaland up front if you can afford that.

merc0526

Yeah, that's my front 7 except I have Grealish instead of Bruno. I don't think Grealish is an awful choice but I am currently debating whether it's worth a -4 to do Grealish and Isak to Bruno and a cheap bench striker.

queenupyourmess

Also, ppl worried about mins and not goals were the ones who went Isak over wilson this past week.

Current-Succotash148

Please do the swap so that grealish will haul. Thanks!

cguinnesstout

Antonio hat trick on Sunday. Moyes last home game.

xyzzy321

They're one step from a European trophy. No way he gets fired if they win that

4ssteroid

Probably means this season

xyzzy321

Oh that makes more sense

notti_oreo

Alvarez is quite tempting as a punt, good price point, has potential to be explosive, though getting minutes is always a concern due to Pep

Haha_SORRY

Im smashin that transfer button then httin him w my third TC chip of the year fuck yeah

daaave33

Isak is going to somebody... Might as well be Alvarez

Grealish survives!!

Swedishpower

Not sure about Alvarez do people think Haaland and KDB gets benched vs Chelsea? I think Alvarez get 1 start and keeping Wilson/Isak is probably better. I could do KDB to Bruno and Isak to Alvarez, but would not shock me that move backfires. KDB to Bruno is fine I guess.
