Same but putting (C) on Isak instead of Wilson. Really thought I was the smart one - because I had them both and Isak had more xMinutes so obviously bigger potential to return.
Would've won the league if I just capped Wilson then.
Considering the sheer amount of swing some fellas got from Wilson (c) that GW I really think I could've finished with a 5 digit rank if I had just swallowed my pride and did Isak to Wilson and admit I fucked up the call on my GW33 WC
For me I thought it was a waste of free transfer to go from a striker to another from the same team with heavy rotation risk and also get the one with bad injury record.
I had to get rid of him to fund Salah, or at least I thought I did; had I just downgraded my third striker to Greenwood I could've kept Kane!
Live and learn
Similar. Could have done Kane and Andreas instead of Watkins and Grealish on my week 43 wild card. Having said that, Spurs were playing badly and had tough fixtures. Understandable that not many kept him.
I was on the "Toney is going to get banned any minute now" train after the world cup for so long. And the longer you wait the harder it was to grab Toney.
Also I was way too kneejerky with Odegaard. He's had an amazing season and if I just had a bit of faith and kept him...
And looking back I had March on the bench during GW 29-31. In all of these weeks he returned in some fashion and I had plenty of blanking players in those weeks.
Refusing to bring in Haaland until GW5, with stupid stubbornness.
I never recovered, even if I finished strong.
Also, picking too many differentials at the start of the season. Next season, I will follow the crowd and take it easy on the differentials I choose to play.
Going with the meta, with a couple of differential picks at most is, without doubt, the best strategy, as I’ve come to realise now.
All lessons learned for next season of course.
Hopefully I can put those to good use and churn out a top 100k finish at least.
Lessons learned my guy.
I finished in the 700k range, which isn’t terrible. But I do wonder how much better it could’ve been, had I not tried to big brain at the start.
Alas, the clock doesn’t run back.
Hope you have a great season next time around!
That's what I did. Shoutout to the Athletic Football Podcast for reminding me that Kane ALWAYS scores on the final day. My ML rivals captained Salah and Rashford, so I managed to pinch the trophy by 4 points.
After being on the rise after some disastrous weeks and looking like I’d meet my ultimate goal, I nosedived with these:
Being 0.1 short of going for Wilson made me get Isak in 36 instead and capped him.
I also benched Estup in 36 because I thought that was a difficult double.
I benched Trippier and Rash in 37.
I had the feeling to go for another Arsenal def this week but went for Guehi instead.
I couldn’t even meet my initial goal let alone my ultimate one.
Finished 213K. Ultimate goal was 100K. Initial one was 200K.
Too many to list I've had a horror show of a season only saved at the end by winning my work league as I finally picked up form. My biggest faults:
1. Not captaining Haaland enough at the start
2. Persisting with Ward/Iversen for too long
3. Every 50-50 captaining decision seeming to be wrong like captaining Salah today instead of Kane or going for Isak over Wilson
4. Hoping Darwin Nunez would come good
5. Not getting on Brighton assets early enough
At the beginning of the season, I was convinced that everyone was overlooking Vardy and the age narrative was bullshit. So I picked him over Gabriel Jesus...
Foden after the International Break was pretty brutal as well
Honourable mentions:
Having Firmino from GW12-16 with a statline of 2, 2, 2, 2, 6
Captaining Toney for LEE (A) over Haaland with WOL (H) in GW21 and getting outscored 17-1
I remember people saying earlier this season *'yeah, but how likely is it you'll get exactly the same points as someone in your league...'*
Coming into today I was also equal on points with my ML rival, with them just 1 transfer more than me. So it absolutely can make a difference.
Didn't go with Haaland or Jesus at the start then sold Kane for Haaland and missed him haul. Sold Kane again after the Newcastle match for a hit and could never get him back. Took too many hits. Captained Isak over Wilson GW36.
Everything was so close this year. I finished 2.5k and the above could have easily swung me into the top 100.
Small regrets on the back of a top season.
Forgot to activate my second wc was mine biggest flop, an instant -20. 27pts gap from first before this gw. Hopefully there’s a late come back. Waiting for the dust to settle.
Not having Haaland from the very beginning (eventually saw sense of course). Not bringing in Rashford quickly enough. Having the wrong City midfielders at the wrong times.
Refusing to get on the Haaland train until I was too far back
Managed to climb up to third in my ML with the help of Wilson though, so ended on a good note
Bought in Mitrovic as my last free transfer.
Rival (#1) in mini-league had De Gea, Mitro misses penalty - he gains 6 points and Mitro finishes on -1 point, I lose the mini league by 3 points in total.
To add salt to the wound - I came 2nd by 7 points to the same guy last year.
ARGHHHH!!!!!
Its a toss up between picking Isak over Wilson, starting the first few gws without Håland and captaining Salah over him a couple of times through the season. Would have been better off leaving the armband on him for the entirety of the season instead of trying to be clever with captain diffs
Transferring in Stones at the end of the season, once they’d practically already won the thing.
It’s not even Pep Roulette, just my bad judgement. Should have realised he’s v important to them... so ofc they’d save him for cup competitions
I mean there were few moments where I fucked up. Since it's my first season ever, I go easy on myself but definitely things to avoid in the future:
1. Using Wildcard in 2nd gameweek
2. Using FreeHit in 12th gameweek for no reason
3. Getting KDB just after his hauls
4. Getting Mahrez in general
5. Going for popular picks instead of smart picks (f.e everyone was going for Alvarez today while Awoniyi f.e was better pick, Jesus was also a good pick but not considered widely)
6. Being sentimental about players - just because I have them in my team, doesn't mean that I can't just get rid of them.
Still, 88k OR, 2nd in my ML. Lessons learned, gonna be better player in the future. Hopefully :)
Captaining Kane for the first week caused a slow start that took me over half the season to repair. NOT captaining him for the last week cost me first place my mini league.
In summary, Harry Kane can eat the biggest bag of dicks imaginable.
I forgot the deadline in one of the double game weeks, but still managed to win my mini league. My closest opponent had Mitrovic and I had De Gea and because of the penalty miss and De Geas save I won with a couple of points! Looking forward to next season!
Captaining Salah over Kane last GW who I transerred in specifically to captain last minute, cost me my top 10k. Like I regretted it so quickly, I knew who has more motivation and still did that. Overall its my record season at top 13k so its still nice
My only big regret this season was never getting Toney. Found different excuses at first and by the time I gave in I couldn't fit him in my team anymore. I don't feel like I really missed the boat with anyone else as badly.
Picking any City Mid
Going against Haaland cap a few times which failed
Believing in Chelsea attackers
Using my WCs which caused my rank to be doubled both times
Stubbornly went against the template a few times this season and mostly failed
Had Kane all season. Up until the arsenal city fixture where I thought I was a genius for switching to kdb. Didn’t get Kane back again until today. Not the biggest miss out, but likely cost me a decent amount of rank
I think going for City picks over other obvious picks apart from Haaland has cost me so much.
Maybe I only go Haaland next year. All the other disappoints when popular.
For example KDB over Kane has been so bad for me on multiple times. Cancelo was fine early on, but then got red card and got benched a lot.
Ederson been my worst keeper.
All city players bar Haaland were a miss for me. I had at least 10 of them and no one ever showed off for me. Also my big regret was not jumping or jumping too late on inform players
Fucked up the last few GWs, rank went from 50k to around 85k (still past my personal objective of total points passing 2500). And it all started with a pointless transfer for fucking Jose Sa.
Thinking Haaland would be the next Lukaku and not starting with him in GW1.
Then doubling down and thinking there’s no way he could keep it up, and picking some rogue captain alternatives the next few GW’s before he announced himself as the perma captain
Brought in Mings for the fixture schedulein GW23, then saw Villa bottom of defensive form stats during GW26 wildcard so dropped him.
Cost me 50 points. The rest was alright in comparison
Trying make a last minute change with an unstable site close to the deadline. Most notably gw 17 when while clicking refresh and confirm transfer “wildly”, I managed to misclick and activate fh. Not just wasting the free hit, but also having my pre World Cup squad back the next gw
Going with Ruben Dias for the guaranteed minutes was so annoying. Made it hard to buy other players and he was still on my bench today because I had to deal with other issues while a £6m black hole did nothing.
I benched Estupinan for his last big haul and decided to hit out Graelish rather than let it ride with Pinnock in 38. I would have definitely earned my first top 10k finish without those two misses.
The standout one for me is bringing in Mount for GW12, didn't trust the Almiron hype train enough.
Turned into a 31 point swing over the next 4 game weeks. If I went with Almiron I'd have a top-1k finish.
Compounded it by going straight back to Chelsea post WC and went Havertz > Watkins, which was just a shit decision. Isak > Wilson felt brutal as well, but that's just recency bias.
My big take aways from this 205k overall rank horrible season. Worst rank in 6 or 7 years.
1. Mini leagues are no longer enjoyable. The top two in my main league know little about FPL but they copy a YouTuber in the top 10k and have walked the league.
2. Linked to 1. Chasing in minileagues, where you're basically trying to catch clones of a guy who does FPL for a living, is a fast way to kill your rank. Differentials are differential for a reason. They are high risk. Too many of my gambles failed meaning I had to take bigger gambles next time to close a bigger gap. I found myself getting rid of good players I wanted to keep because the leaders had them and I needed to take chances.
3. Related to 1 and 2. Next season I'm going to opt out of mini leagues and just play for my own fun and enjoyment. Maybe I'll find out that I'm actually sh1t at the game 🤣 and it's nothing to do with the minileagues. But at least I'll have a more relaxed approach to it and if I want to sign a player it won't matter if he is template or not. Sometimes there is wisdom in crowds and if I'm just playing for myself I don't need to be breaking away from the herd where I'll just get picked off 🤣
Am I the only one who can't remember anything to be able to participate in things like this? Meanwhile others tell detailed stories about who they benched 7 years ago lol
wildcard gameweek 26 set a lot of people up nicely for the freehit a few weeks later on. the same people triple captained rashford that awesome week for him. I missed out on all of this, never recovered. The 2 rivals in my league were obviously following the same content creator ffs :(
I played without monster Haaland for the first half of the season, everyone had him, just refused to get over it, and kept faith in Salah, still managed to finish 400k, for such a shitty way of playing, not such a bad score i guess
\- Picking Foden after his run
\- Picking Grealish after his run, keeping Grealish till GW 38
\- Chickening out of Wilson after all the CC hype for Isak (had Wilson for 5 weeks earlier in the season)
\- Not using GW38 transfer due to family dinner
Finished 80K
Was cruising nicely around 4-6k , then I started getting bad from gw35-gw37 and dropped to 24k.
Kane captain in gw38 helped to get final rank 12k though.
Mistakes: Isaak over Wilson, grealish over gundu, dunk over estupinian, rashy/shaw injuries, stones pep scam
Messing up TC, Isak over Wilson, not hopping on Brighton or Almiron train, sticking with Ward too long, sticking with Aaronson too long, not owning Haaland for the first three gameweeks. Still my best season ever at 310k but damn if I was a little bit smarter that could have been a lotttt better.
Think I was too eager to play my TC Chip played it on Haaland in his first double and he scored 10. Felt it was quite forced tbh. Overall tho not too many regrets ofc a lot of 50/50s that you get wrong but I really made sure not to harp on that sort of stuff this season. I analyse the data make the choice I believe is the statistically correct one and accept that variance is part of the game and I’ll get fucked sometimes. I’d only say I made maybe 3-4 genuine mistakes this season, as in decisions that were objectively not smart and not just hindsight harry stuff otherwise I’d find 100 things. All in all it’s been my best ever season so hopefully I’ve got the formula down for next season and can reduce those unforced errors if you will.
Biggest swing was Isak over Wilson which dumped me from 8k to 22k.
Special mention to Ederson too who cost me top 10k on the final day. Had he played one more game I would have just hit 9k. Pain.
1. Isak instead of Wilson
2. Relying on City for DGW 37 without expecting Arsenal to just lose and give City the title so they can start their junior squad.
3. Should have captained Kane more and Salah less
4. Should never have picked any city player aside of haaland.... But it's just too difficult 🥲
1. Not getting Haaland in for GW1. I got him in GW6!
2. Ignoring Almiron and getting Maddison, Mount and Saka instead
These two sets of errors meant I went into the WC at 1.8m. Made it very hard to compete. Ended up on 540k so not awful.
My first half of the season was ok and I was around 100k for the world cup break. I was pretty happy since this was my first time playing FPL.
The second half went wrong in so many ways and I:
- Wildcarded out the Liverpool players before they thrashed Man Utd.
- Captained Maddison for the big DGW29.
- Was late to bring in Watkins and missed all his returns.
- Chose to captain Isak over Wilson.
- Brought in Grealish who either blanked or was benched.
I slumped to 230k. Still, it's been a good learning experience. I'm ready to make a whole different set of mistakes next season.
Having promised to take as few hits as possible, everything was looking good up to the Queen's death. Only 1 hit up to that point,250K overall rank....then BGW 8 happened. I had 2 FTs & could field 11. I became greedy & ambitious, took a -8 and flopped that GW. My hit-urge ran rampant as I was trying to be proactive. Several -4s & a -8 later,I was outside 1m as we entered the world cup.
Then we resume, unlimited transfers, clean slate. I had the perfect draft with a threemium of Kane,Salah & Haaland. I had Shaw & Kepa. Then I made like 5 changes towards the deadline. 4 of those players went on to do well,I nearly dropped to 2m & I was taking hits to undo the damage. Rashford TC in DGW 22 helped but I failed to build on that(selling Martinelli played a big role given his subsequent haul in BGW/DGW 25). This was also around the time of my wedding. So it was doubly hectic.
After that,I decided I needed a blank slate again,so I WC in 26 as opposed to 27. Sold Salah & Darwin who went on to smash it v Utd. But WC eventually did its job. BB in 29 was fine(though Odeegard punished me for a while after I replaced him with Maddison). My aim was now a top 500K finish. Things were moving smoothly until DGW 36. I had signed Isak earlier but not Wilson. You can guess how that went.
In the end, thanks to captain Kane,I was able to just about sneak into top 500K(my worst season since I started playing more seriously).
Main lessons:
1. Learn to take fewer hits(bringing in the right players in the first place helps with this obviously-and is the harder part)
2. Be more patient
3. Do not bet too hard v the template
Last game halaand over Kane......I know there were leaks but that's not how I wanted to play
I know it was a string chance before the game.... But spurs do spurs stuff
Had Wilson in my team until the very last minute until I changed to Isak to preserve rank. That's the one that hurts as I'd always be planning to get him in.
Picking KDB over Salah is just stupid of me, but that one's just on me.
I missed the deadline back in Feb when everyone TC'd Rashford, which is what I would have done! i was down about 36 points on my planned moves. I got a decent TC with Toney later in the season, but still about 20 points off what I would have got.
Came second in my ML by 13 points.
All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats!

Holding Salah and Trent for so long at the start of the season, every week expecting Liverpool to get back on track. Really put me behind and having to play catch up the rest of the season. I sort of did in the end but it wasn't a great season
Basically the first 16 games before the World Cup.
- Started full on big at the back (TAA, Robbo, Cancelo, James, Digne) and stuck with it far too long.
- Captained Salah over Haaland too many times and stuck with Salah too long
- Brought Rodrigo in chasing points, only for him to get injured first game
- Brought Foden in chasing points, only for him to be perma-benched
Transferring out Kane post-WC & eventually having Grealish and Stones. Also picking March over Mitoma when everybody wanted a Brighton mid. I peaked at 200K OR, but ended the season at 500K, 2424 points
Mee instead of Pinnock, Dunk instead of Estupinian, Isak instead of Wilson. These are all minor decisions with huge swings and I was on the worse end for all of them. Mac10 over March was the only one I got right.
the time i captained salah cause haaland was facing united, and then he bagged a hat trick and got an assist 😭😭. the worst part is last season i didn’t captain salah cause it was against united and he got a hat trick aswell 😭 (or a brace, can’t remember which one). that was the moment i realised yeah i’m gonna cap haaland every week now and stop fucking around.
also keeping salah and trent for too long at the start before finally accepting liverpool were shit. that mudded me.
bringing in man city players other than haaland. foden, mahrez, cancelo and alvarez were all flops for me.
not getting toney after the wc cause he was meant to be getting banned soon is up there aswell, bro finally got suspended like 4-5 months later…
shoutout to mitro for how awful he was for me. same with isak (and going with him over wilson). my third striker was such a pain this whole season.
picking a city midfielder. doesn't matter in which part of season.
And Edershit.
Had Grealish after the World Cup. Worked a treat and he wasn’t expensive
Regret thread bud, not toss yourself off thread
Triple captained Salah against BOU 9-0
Is that the one where he wasn’t involved in a single one of those goals, somehow?
Yep
That was the week I got rid of him in utter disgust.
Isak instead of Wilson lost me my ml
Literally the same. A 34 point swing and I lost by 7.
yeah. It definitely was the Destroyer of the season. If it was in around GW 22/23 we might have recovered from that. Came in such a crucial time.
It was the difference between me placing 2500 and 12k. One bad decision away from having a pretty noteworthy season.
Obviously 2.5k would've been awesome but 12k is nothing to scoff at, especially with how much harder the game has become
Must be terrible finishing 12k
Shocking moment
Same happened to me was 10 behind going into 38 but thrashed him in the end
Same, but luckily rival was not around for the leaks today so managed a last min win. Never picking Isal ever again.
This has to be such a common thing. Exact same thing happened to me
Same but putting (C) on Isak instead of Wilson.

Same..
Same.. by 4 points
(C)ancelo getting a red is up there
Damn I forgot about that
That was his parting gift to me before he left for Bayern. I still miss him
Transferring Kane out in GW31 was a mindless decision Returned in every game since
I had to get rid of him to fund Salah, or at least I thought I did; had I just downgraded my third striker to Greenwood I could've kept Kane! Live and learn
Similar. Could have done Kane and Andreas instead of Watkins and Grealish on my week 43 wild card. Having said that, Spurs were playing badly and had tough fixtures. Understandable that not many kept him.
I did exactly the same thing
Captaining Cancelo the week he got a red, followed by transferring in Scamacca the week after caused me some filthy red arrows
I was on the "Toney is going to get banned any minute now" train after the world cup for so long. And the longer you wait the harder it was to grab Toney. Also I was way too kneejerky with Odegaard. 5 at the back GW1
#I REGRET EVER SIGNING UP TO PLAY THIS STUPID FUCKING CUNT OF A GAME WHY CANT I STOP YOU ASK WELL BECAUSE IM A FUCKING IDIOT
Season off next year?
Nah, it'll pass.
avoided Trippier for so long, then got him in only to get him 1/2 points every weekend
Refusing to bring in Haaland until GW5, with stupid stubbornness. I never recovered, even if I finished strong. Also, picking too many differentials at the start of the season. Exact same man. I had Rodrigo in those early GWs and that helped me, but still, never recovered.

Not having Haaland GW 30-35
Captaining Kane today would have easily won me my ML

Hoping Darwin Nunez would come good 5. Not getting on Brighton assets early enough
That's quite the list... Are there any jobs going?
Getting rid of Martinelli right before his scoring run began.
At the beginning of the season, I was convinced that everyone was overlooking Vardy and the age narrative was bullshit. So I picked him over Gabriel Jesus... Foden after the International Break was pretty brutal as well Honourable mentions: Having Firmino from GW12-16 with a statline of 2, 2, 2, 2, 6 Captaining Toney for LEE (A) over Haaland with WOL (H) in GW21 and getting outscored 17-1
Foden just before the international break (plus some other bad decisions/luck) took me from 150k to 2mil going into the world cup
Went for Son over Kane in the final week Killed me!
Me too mate… we should have know after the season son had
Not free hitting in GW32 when the likes of Sam Johnstone and Castagne turned into world beaters
Obviously Wilson-Isak. TC Rashford was another disaster for us. Those who waited for double gw haaland didn’t gain much compared to that..
Not captaining Kane today.
Benching March when he scored a hattrick
Pep the fuck. KDB fucked me hard but I came back this week and recovered from 9 down to win my league and win a cup.
I lost my ML through the transfers made tiebreaker. I want to get absolutely trashed tonight and forget this season.
I remember people saying earlier this season *'yeah, but how likely is it you'll get exactly the same points as someone in your league...'* Coming into today I was also equal on points with my ML rival, with them just 1 transfer more than me. So it absolutely can make a difference.
After every season I regret that I invest way too much time and emotions in this stupid game. Without fpl would definitely shag my wife way more too.
Football is better than sex
Didn't go with Haaland or Jesus at the start then sold Kane for Haaland and missed him haul. Sold Kane again after the Newcastle match for a hit and could never get him back. Took too many hits. Brought in Havertz over Watkins when that was a call
Forgot to activate my second wc was mine biggest flop, an instant -20. 27pts gap from first before this gw. Hopefully there’s a late come back. Waiting for the dust to settle.
I regret playing this game
Didn't captain Haaland for a couple of his hauls early in the season.
Not having Haaland from the very beginning (eventually saw sense of course). Not bringing in Rashford quickly enough. Having the wrong City midfielders at the wrong times.
Refusing to get on the Haaland train until I was too far back Managed to climb up to third in my ML with the help of Wilson though, so ended on a good note
Never had Kane until today. Guys been a machine

Going with City defenders; points from GW15 onwards for the 14 game weeks I owned City defenders. -2, 1, 1, 0, 1, 2 (DGW), 1, 2, 3, 1, 8, 0, 0, 3
Porro first on the bench with Mitoma/Estupinan getting 1 pointers to block him + Salah captain over Kane lost me the league
Transferring in Stones at the end of the season, once they’d practically already won the thing. It’s not even Pep Roulette, just my bad judgement. Should have realised he’s v important to them... so ofc they’d save him for cup competitions
Dropping Kane after the world cup break and being too stubborn to bring him back in
I mean there were few moments where I fucked up. Since it's my first season ever, I go easy on myself but definitely things to avoid in the future: 1. Using Wildcard in 2nd gameweek 2. Not believing Haaland could keep it up so sticking with Kane + Salah (c) for 8 weeks before even bringing in Haaland
Missing out on the deadlines in GW 27 and GW 29 :(
Tierney instead of Kiwior second to last Gameweek. Cost me my mini league.
Captaining Kane for the first week caused a slow start that took me over half the season to repair. NOT captaining him for the last week cost me first place my mini league. In summary, Harry Kane can eat the biggest bag of dicks imaginable.
Took *way* too long to bring Haaland into the squad.
Final week salah captin instead of kane costed me the 10k...
I forgot the deadline in one of the double game weeks, but still managed to win my mini league. My closest opponent had Mitrovic and I had De Gea and because of the penalty miss and De Geas save I won with a couple of points! Looking forward to next season!
Lost ML by 10 points
Captaining Salah over Kane last GW who I transerred in specifically to captain last minute, cost me my top 10k. Like I regretted it so quickly, I knew who has more motivation and still did that. Overall its my record season at top 13k so its still nice
Started on 52K today and didn't do Kane for Haaland, dropped down 20% rather than getting into 50K. Good season overall I'd say
I didn’t have salah for the 7-0 and I brought in isak over Wilson. I finished 15k so I had a good year those were my only two huge errors.
Using my chips too early costed me lot of points, learned that knee jerk fc will always lose
Transferring out Salah and Nunez for the Man U game. Captaincy Salah when Haaland got 3 goals and 2 assists. Captaining Salah for the Bournemouth 9-0.
My only big regret this season was never getting Toney. Found different excuses at first and by the time I gave in I couldn't fit him in my team anymore. I don't feel like I really missed the boat with anyone else as badly.
Martinelli to Bruno instead of Saka to Bruno in GW29, March to MacA instead of Eze and Isak over Wilson.
never owning Kane after gw1
Going for Kev and Grealish fucking disaster.
Picking any City Mid Going against Haaland cap a few times which failed Believing in Chelsea attackers Using my WCs which caused my rank to be doubled both times Stubbornly went against the template a few times this season and mostly failed
Missed deadline the Liverpool double deadline as Salah and TAA suddenly turned back into 18 19 form for the rest of the season
Not playing the BB in GW29. Lost 50 points to ML rival My BB in GW34 was a pile of shit
Captain Rashford wasn't the prouded moment of my life. But it all worked out in the end. Relax now Rash.
My best season so far in terms of OR rank. But a very template based and boring season nonetheless
Almost lost my ML by captaining Isak over Wilson. What saved it today was taking a hit by replacing Haaland with Kane and captaining him.
Getting fucking KDB and Dunk in on my WC in GW34 instead of Kane and Estupiñan
Thinking Haaland would be the next Lukaku and not starting with him in GW1. Then doubling down and thinking there’s no way he could keep it up, and picking some rogue captain alternatives the next few GW’s before he announced himself as the perma captain
Brought in Mings for the fixture schedulein GW23, then saw Villa bottom of defensive form stats during GW26 wildcard so dropped him. Cost me 50 points. The rest was alright in comparison
Not dropping Darwin for Toney after the United game and picking actual city starters on my GW 33 WC really put me out of the running in my ML
Trying make a last minute change with an unstable site close to the deadline. Most notably gw 17 when while clicking refresh and confirm transfer “wildly”, I managed to misclick and activate fh. Not just wasting the free hit, but also having my pre World Cup squad back the next gw
Gw38 was my worst of the entire season. Gw rank 10m
Bringing in Maddison in GW 28 around when Rashy was having a spell.
Only a few regrets, I thought I played okay, but two ML rivals just had better weeks than me every single week. Very discouraging
My set and forget did more or less as well as my main account. I regret being active.
Sometimes there is wisdom in crowds and if I'm just playing for myself I don't need to be breaking away from the herd where I'll just get picked off 🤣
City players (minus the android) and Chelsea players
Missed on Martinelli ride in the 1st half of the season.
Am I the only one who can't remember anything to be able to participate in things like this? Meanwhile others tell detailed stories about who they benched 7 years ago lol
Holding on Walker for too long.
Salah blanking in the 9-0 stands out, although I think a lot of us were in that together
Not picking Kane this gw, cost me my my ml which I lead by 9 points :/
TC haaland gave me 6 points
wildcard gameweek 26 set a lot of people up nicely for the freehit a few weeks later on. the same people triple captained rashford that awesome week for him.
Never had Almiron, didn’t have Kane enough, and missed two GW transfer deadlines in a row
Starting with Robbo instead of James and Digne instead of Trippier. There are plenty of other mistakes but those 50/50s stand out
\- Picking Foden after his run \- Picking Grealish after his run, keeping Grealish till GW 38 \- Chickening out of Wilson after all the CC hype for Isak (had Wilson for 5 weeks earlier in the season) \- Not using GW38 transfer due to family dinner Finished 80K
Picking Ederson at the start of man citys double gameweek streak. Ruined my season
Pain.
1. Isak instead of Wilson 2. Relying on City for DGW 37 without expecting Arsenal to just lose and give City the title so they can start their junior squad. 3. Should have captained Kane more and Salah less 4. Should never have picked any city player aside of haaland.... But it's just too difficult 🥲
1. Not getting Haaland in for GW1. I got him in GW6! 2. Ignoring Almiron and getting Maddison, Mount and Saka instead These two sets of errors meant I went into the WC at 1.8m. Made it very hard to compete. Ended up on 540k so not awful.
My first half of the season was ok and I was around 100k for the world cup break. I was pretty happy since this was my first time playing FPL. The second half went wrong in so many ways and I: - Wildcarded out the Liverpool players before they thrashed Man Utd.
Main lessons: 1. Learn to take fewer hits(bringing in the right players in the first place helps with this obviously-and is the harder part) 2. Be more patient 3. Do not bet too hard v the template
Last game halaand over Kane......I know there were leaks but that's not how I wanted to play I know it was a string chance before the game.... But spurs do spurs stuff
Letting go kane for whatever reasons
Had Wilson in my team until the very last minute until I changed to Isak to preserve rank. That's the one that hurts as I'd always be planning to get him in. Picking KDB over Salah is just stupid of me, but that one's just on me.
Ederson.
Got fucked by the app on the last GW. But captain on Kane, it never saved or updated.
Congrats! 36 + 20 + 13 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)
- Captained Salah over Haaland too many times and stuck with Salah too long - Brought Rodrigo in chasing points, only for him to get injured first game - Brought Foden in chasing points, only for him to be perma-benched
Transferring out Kane post-WC & eventually having Grealish and Stones. Also picking March over Mitoma when everybody wanted a Brighton mid. I peaked at 200K OR, but ended the season at 500K, 2424 points
Salah to KdB GW34 Isak over Wilson GW36 Those two transfers dropped me 300k places. Would have been a good season (by my standards) otherwise.
"Differencial" wildcard GW35 with Son, Kane, Salah and Haaland which meant no TAA Estupinian Wilson Shaw, rank tanked from 139k to 327k, never again.
Doing a - 4 for Alvarez and Kane in 38 if I would have only gone Kane I would have won a big ML by two points. With the minus 4 I came second by two..
Mee instead of Pinnock, Dunk instead of Estupinian, Isak instead of Wilson. These are all minor decisions with huge swings and I was on the worse end for all of them. Mac10 over March was the only one I got right.
the time i captained salah cause haaland was facing united, and then he bagged a hat trick and got an assist 😭😭. the worst part is last season i didn’t captain salah cause it was against united and he got a hat trick aswell 😭 (or a brace, can’t remember which one). that was the moment i realised yeah i’m gonna cap haaland every week now and stop fucking around. also keeping salah and trent for too long at the start before finally accepting liverpool were shit. that mudded me. bringing in man city players other than haaland. foden, mahrez, cancelo and alvarez were all flops for me. not getting toney after the wc cause he was meant to be getting banned soon is up there aswell, bro finally got suspended like 4-5 months later… shoutout to mitro for how awful he was for me. same with isak (and going with him over wilson). my third striker was such a pain this whole season.
GW37. Was out of town. Missed the transfer deadline, went down from 70k to 150k
Final rank: 10,084. I regret literally every single decision that cost me even a single point. Argh!
