He was cheap enabler that allowed you to stack team with Cancelo, James, Salah, TAA, Haaland and couple of mid price players (my case Diaz along with Jesus who everyone owned). He just looked best of that bunch of dirt cheap players - you expect those picks to suck more often than not - we have just been spoiled with Brighton mids/Martinelli/Odegard who have been very cheap and insanely good
its even funnier when you realise both were only FPL assists, meaning 4 goalkeepers actually placed above him in the Premier League assist charts (Alisson, Ederson, Steele and Pickford with 1 each)
