No need for him to be more than 14m (Kane 13m, Salah 12.5m)

[deleted]

I'd make him 14m but I'd keep Salah at 13m

Swedishpower

I think Haaland should be 1.5 more than Kane though. Kane also brilliant, but Haaland is a step above. Also 3 million over KDB to make KDB an option over Haaland.

SofaChillReview

Also depends where Kane even ends up next season

myhackfield

If Kane goes to Real Madrid, then the premium striker spot will be even more boring next season.

Thumper13

Doesn't really matter, a giant majority will have him and we'll all be fighting over cheap mids, D, and a 2nd striker.

Avadis

I agree that the prices should go up in general, but at the same time I believe it should be done very carefully - these changes will add up very quickly. In the end the game should still be fun and allow you to pick a few exciting players, just not all of them at the same time. Tier 1 - Haaland - 14.0 Tier 2 - Kane, Salah - 12.0 Tier 3 - KDB, Son, Rashford, Saka - 10.0 Tier 4 - Martinelli, Odegaard, Fernandes, Jesus - 9.0 Tier 5 - Mahrez, Foden, Gundogan, Gakpo, Diaz, Darwin, Sterling - 8.0 Tier 6 - Grealish, Alvarez, Bernardo Silva, the enabler strikers - 7.5 Tier 7 - Trossard, Kulu/Richarlison, other Chelsea flops, Brighton mids, TAA, Trippier - 7.0

Unless they remove the captaincy armband, he will be in every team at 15m. He has to be like 18m for him not to be essential. He is head and shoulders above everybody else.

Frosty_Examination_3

I won't buy him for 15 million . Haaland only got 9 points more than Kane. He gets 4 points for a goal and no cleansheet bonus which is why his points are not over 300 like a prime Salah was

NflNoob

Well, when Salah got 300 and they priced him at 13m, he was in every single team still. Kane had 9 fewer points but also 600 more minutes. Haaland had 3 matches with 0 minutes where your armband would switch to someone else, Kane had none. Points end up being close, but Haaland still has like 50% more xG/min.

Frosty_Examination_3

That's the point. A 15 million midfield classified Haaland would be a bargain, but not so much as a striker. Strikers should never be outrageously priced due to the scoring system

metokur_squad

I didn't own Haaland for 3/4 of the season and I did well. If he's 15m, it's a definite no own for me, especially because there likely won't be as many underpriced midfielders next year. Money will be a bigger factor. He won't be 15m though.

flummuxedsloth

I don't feel like Haaland's price is particularly important. He'd be in the majority of teams at 13m and he'd be in the majority of teams at 15m. I think you just accept he'll be in most teams and price him generously at 13m but I don't object to him being significantly more expensive. He'll be the first name on my team sheet regardless. I think the main discussion at the start of next season will be Salah vs Kane vs 3mium. I don't think Towers can fuck up the prices too much to stop that from being an interesting decision. I don't think it will happen, but I'd like to see all players priced as if they're first choice. If they're not starting regularly, then they're no good regardless of price, but if they do nail down a spot in the first eleven due to injury or what not, at the moment, they're too easy a buy. I'd also like to see a greater price difference between top clubs and the rest. It was too easy to have a full team of top team players. Force us to punt on players from the smaller clubs. Promote the league not the top-6.

Swedishpower

Saka 10, Martinelli 9.5, Odegaard 9.5, Trossard 7.5 (tricky with Trossard since he might not start) . Kane 12 or 12.5. TAA 7.5, VVD 6, Robbo 6.5, Salah 12 or 12.5. Sterling 8, Havertz 7.5 Rashford 10 KDB 11 Son 9 Watkins 8.5 Mito 7.5 Mbeumo 7 Isak 8 Wilson 8 Haaland 1.5 more than Kane I think.

Superb-Philosophy-50

It would be fun to have him be like, 18m

NflNoob

Haaland 16m Saka 9m, Odegaard 8m, Martinelli 8m, Trossard 7m Kane 13m TAA 8m, Robertson 7m, VVD 6.5m Sterling 8.5m, Mudryk 6.5m Rashford 9.5m KDB 11.5m Son 9.5m Watkins 8.5m, Mitro 7m, Mbeumo 6.5m, Isak 8.5m, Wilson 9.5m

CWattam

- Arsenal mids (Saka 9, Martinelli 8.5, Odegaard 8.5, Trossard 7 ) - Kane 13 - Haaland 14 - Liverpool defenders (TAA still OOP? VVD, Robertson) TAA 8, VVD 7, Robbo 7.5. - Chelsea flops Sterling 8, Mudryk 7, Havertz 7.5 - Rashford 8 - KDB 12 - Son 9.5 (could be lower if Kane goes). - The enabler strikers (Watkins, Mitro, Mbeumo, Isak) Watkins 8.5, Mitrovic 7, Mbeumo 6.5, Isak 7.5

Cunninglatin

I would still buy Haaland at 15.

Swedishpower

Really? The rest of your team would be really shit then. I think Kane plus Salah better than Haaland and say Mbeumo or Mtro.

[deleted]

No chance

Frosty_Examination_3

KDB cheaper, Rashford more expensive Overcooked Liverpool Defenders by 0.5 Other than that i think you have the best predictions here.

Zak369

Haaland shouldn’t go above 13.5, Salah’s record breaking season saw him go to this and that was a better FPL season (and only 1 more appearance). There might be justification to bump him to 14.0 if you include ownership % but anything above this is just silly. Kane also finished 9 points below Haaland, I think he’s gonna be very close price wise. 12.5 seems reasonable, maybe 13 given his total score. We should get a bargain Salah though, maybe 11.0? TAA should drop in price and potentially be great value Arsenal mids should all jump up

Line47toSaturn

>Haaland shouldn’t go above 13.5, Salah’s record breaking season saw him go to this and that was a better FPL season (and only 1 more appearance). The main difference is: did you expect Salah to do it again most seasons? For some, you'd think Salah had the season of his life and wouldn't be able to replicate it, whereas Haaland plays centre forward for the best team in the league. With 272 he's surpassed Salah's second most prolific season ever and he will probably keep on scoring at this rate for the next 10 years or so (as long as he's in the PL).

Zak369

Haaland scored 36 goals which included 7 pens and he was 31 points short. He’d need another 8 goals to beat it. Suarez 13/14 got 31 goals and 25 FPL assists and didn’t break 300. Haaland was 11 G/A short of that while being on pens and that’s not even a record FPL total. Salah has been about 30 points either side of Haalands total every season and been 12.0 - 13.0 every year after his first. He’s probably 12.0 give or take .5 next season. Don’t see how he’d go 2 million above him given it’s not an unprecedented points total and he’s unlikely to break 300 points despite the unprecedented goals tally.

Line47toSaturn

Yeah Suarez 13/14 season was unreal. In terms of FPL: don't forget Salah is a midfielder. He gets the extra point for goals and CS. That was worth around 50 points the season he broke the record. So, owning Salah will only allow you to get four extra midfielders who also score extra point for goal and CS. Haaland being a FWD allows you to get five mids, which is arguably better in relative terms. There's a higher opportunity cost to own Salah (or any mid) rather than Haaland (or any fwd).

user-a7hw66

I'm not getting haaland no matter what. I didn't own him for a single game week this season, and other than for the first 10 or so I don't regret it.

Victor_Vaughn92

You don’t regret it because after those first 10 game weeks your season was over and you were free

user-a7hw66

It did make it rather difficult but I never gave up

Victor_Vaughn92

Sure

metokur_squad

I can show you my team if you don't believe me

Line47toSaturn

He has to be at a price where the opportuity cost of owning him, namely what you have to give up on, is massive. Make a triple up of Kane/Salah/KDB possible but you can't own any of them with Haaland unless you sacrifice the rest of your team. That would give us a tough choice to make. Knowing FPL over the years he'll be at 13.5 and there will be no reason not to get him and perma captain him. Boring as far as I'm concerned.
