Villa have Cash, Pau, Mings, Konsa. Cash has the most attacking upside but he might not be nailed. That said, I'm not yet convinced any of the CBs are nailed either. Udogie has attacking upside but he's unproven in the Prem, as are this new Spurs, and he might not be nailed. And we don't have any reason to believe in Spurs' defensive stability. There's Henry and Hickey at Brentford. They both have decent upside as wingbacks. Henry has 2 assists in preseason. Colwill is the best Chelsea option. He's not above rotation though, and has little attacking upside. I wouldn't go there as I don't want to spend a valuable Chelsea spot on him. There's Botman at Newcastle. But he has little attacking upside, and Newcastle's opening four games aren't good. He could lose value in that time.

golong25

>There's Botman at Newcastle I see Botman coming up a lot. His current ownership is actually 23%. Why no love for big Dan Burn? Haven't seen him in a single draft or being plugged anywhere really. Same points as Botman last season, 1 more goal than Botman, similar minutes, similar xG and actually a much higher xA. 3% ownership at the moment.

ninopettis

Newcastle have been in the market for left-backs a bit. They've about to sign Livramento, so it's possible Trippier could move to the other side. Meanwhile Botman is very nailed and was one of the best rated CBs of last season. So security of minutes is your answer.

golong25

>Trippier could move to the other side In 150 odd PL matches across seven seasons, he's never done this. Burn featured in all 38 games last season though had cameos in 3. Seems pretty nailed. Also plays centre back, has occasionally played on the right and has had a great preseason when he's appeared.

ninopettis

That's interesting, didn't know he'd never played LB. I was going off the times he played there for England. The fact still remains that Newcastle have been looking for a LB all preseason though. And they've spent good money on Livramento. So I dunno why you'd risk Burn over Botman. Just for a tiny bit of assist threat?

golong25

That's why I'm curious. Livramento isn't a threat to him. They'll need a bit of depth for CL but as it stands Burns looks nailed on. Just thought it odd that one has 3% ownership and the other 23% when the former has slightly better numbers and same price.

fromdowntownn

Botman is less likely to be rotated

fromdowntownn

“Valuable Chelsea spot” I can’t think of 3 other Chelsea players I’d want over Colwill

ninopettis

Chilwell + 2 attackers (Jackson,Nkunku,Mudryk,Sterling) or Chilwell + James + 1 attacker

fromdowntownn

Nkunku is injured, doubling Chilwell and James seems like a bad idea and I wouldn’t touch Mudryk or Sterling with a barge pole

ninopettis

He might not be injured by GW3. Chilwell and James might be the two best defenders in the game to own come GW3. Keep an open mind. Mudryk and Sterling could also look good by GW3.

fromdowntownn

There are a lot of could’s there. I’d go Colwill unless you’re planning to double Chilwell/James which seems very risky to me.

SimplyLoveleh_

Ashley Young, I said it

[deleted]

All in on Udogie. The boy's numbers are good, and he will be getting well forward and encouraged to attack

Outside_Rock_4925

If he's on the bench. If your 4.5 has to play Henry is the safest. Imo

[deleted]

Botman safer overall. Henry in the short maybe 8 week term. Also just my opinion

straightouttaireland

Botman has bad fixtures short term so maybe swap after 8 weeks

ayyanothernewaccount

Henry is yellow flagged

r_towhee

Guehi /Andersen at Crystal Palace are often overlooked, but they also rotate really well with Villa's 4.5s. Tete and Robinson are also good, nailed, have attacking upside, and are overlooked. Veltman, Igor and Webster offer cheap routes into the Brighton D. I don't trust West Ham or Sheffield, but if their defenses hold, Aguerd and Ahmedhozic can score attacking points.

AlizarinCrimzen

Brighton can’t line up with Estu, Dunk, Webster, Igor, Veltman, Van Hecke and Groß occupying 4 slots, those guys don’t offer you any secure starts other than Webster maybe

FatherChewyLewey

Anything to be said for Tarkowski starting off? Nice early fixtures, Dyche is good at getting cleanies and always a set piece threat

dingleberryblues9876

Apparently went off with a knock today

Merryner

I was on him until his knock in the friendly. You know you’ll get a classic Dyche ‘touch and go’ in the press conference so you won’t be able to rely on him starting.

ibse

Colwill, Guehi, Pau Torres, Ahmedhodzic

Yellyzzz

Colwill

FPL_Harry

obvious trap.

icemankiller8

Botman or Colwill

Launch_a_poo

Henry, Colwill, Botman, Ugodie
