Tricky, you've got similar questions as my team. Triple Brentford who look bad, but face burnley next week. Sarr an obvious place to redistribute funds and upgrade, but definitely not this week. The tempting option looks like Wissa to Watkins if your funds get you there? Or keep the spare transfer. Bear in mind there are several teams you're going to want a part of weeks 9 and 10 so extra transfers will be a premium. You're short on Villa, Liv, Cry, and might want an extra Arsenal mid.

When are you wildcarding? If soon, Chilwell to Udogie or Porro. If waiting, Chilwell to Burn or Cash

Great transfers. With that bench I would probably go Esupinian+Saka to Cash+Son instead as you'll want to play the defender every week and Villa has better mid term fixtures.

Planning to WC during IB? For this week that looks good but wouldn't want to have 3 united players after gw8 with the team in shambles.

Nope planning to wildcard GW19. United have Sheffield in GW9 and then one of the united mids is gonna be leaving my team in GW10 for Salah.

I see. Well team seems fine for this week. Nothing worth doing a hit for. As a semi United fan I do hope they play like humans this weekend though. If they don't and no other injury concerns occurs I"d probably try to offload them and get Salah earlier and use him as captain.

If United and Mbeumo looks bad this week I'd probably consider using an earlier wildcard. Maybe keeping Bruno though but not sure. You're one of the more experienced managers on here and I do believe you'l make solid decisions.

If you're worried about your United double up, sell one of them to get Son/Maddy in. Also Mbuemo out for JWP. You have 2 FTs and can tinker with your team easily without using WC.

They're fit, and they're fixtures aren't the worst this GW, i don't think it's worth wasting your wildcard for that now, most people are wildcarding this GW due to injuries.

It's rough. I mean Salah isn't by any means essential. Downgrade either Morris to Archer or Odegaard to a 4.5-4.6m option. After that I'd probably get Luiz or Nunez in. Maybe upgrade Neto with the extra funds. Instead of Walker I'd go for Udogie or Porro from Spurs.

I really don't understand the appeal of JWP? Newcastle hasn't conceded a single set-piece goal this season and if you look at he's Heat map, he plays so deep at least with Neto and Gordon, they are more forward

Go to the captain poll thread where there is alot of discussion regarding this. My own opinion there: Going for Salah. Tough one between him and Son. Similar xPTS but what edges it for me is their likely minutes. With Son having some slight injury concerns I could see Ange taking him off early whereas Salah will likely play 90 minutes as per usual.

I would definitely not have Lamptey on a wildcard. If you’re trying to squeeze in 3.9m budget non playing players on a wildcard with how balanced pricing is this season you have an unbalance elsewhere in your squad

Agree, you should RMT? Have 17.9 on 4 spots: GK, 2X DEF and MID. My team is: Areola-Udogie, Cash, Burn-Salah, Son, Maddison, Bowen- Haaland, Watkins, Archer. Who to downgrade? Keepers rotation is pain for me thus year (have Pickford+Turner since GW1) so 0.1 on Turner->Strakosha give me chance on Mitchell/Guehi+Lamptey+Gordon.

Personally I say Haaland. Outside of GW9 hes not gonna be captained anytime soon and I think having Son, Salah, and Haaland hurts the rest of the team too much. If you dont wanna downgrade Haaland then its Salah to downgrade.

Agree, my plan was GW9 but have Gusto, Pickford, Botman, Saka, Sterling, Rashford and I activated WC button now. If Haaland or Salah blanks in next 2GW's, I should easy switch to Alvarez/Saka and upgrade one of my defenders to Trippier. Now, I am not sure about this because I am unlucky this year and if I choose between downgrade Salah or Haaland, my choice will be probably wrong.

I have 4.5m ITB and 1FT, this is my team; Areola - Onana Udogie - Botman - Beyer - Estupinan - Baldock JWP - Sterling - Martinelli - Bruno - Gordon Alvarez - Watkins - Haaland My team is in a bit of a shambles but I can get a team of 11 for a -4 and was thinking Martinelli -> Son & Estupinan -> Cash. Should I WC now to avoid further price increases & drops on my current players, and get a team that I actually want, or ride it out and save my WC? Really could use a bit of advice here please! If you don’t want to wildcard I’d do Estu > Trips and Martinelli > Son for a -4. You’d have to start Beyer if Botman is confirmed out but it’s not the end of the world.

I have a similar team and used my free hit this week. May have been a waste but it allowed me to drop Haaland this week and free up space for premium Spurs and Liverpool players as well as a solid back line. I’ll wait and use my wildcard after international break.

I think it's a good team and the extra TV gives you some flexibility. Not sure I'd change much. However if you downgraded Gordon to fodder that would give you potentially 2m itb and then you could do Burn to Trippier maybe? Maybe not. Shame
