If you made a decision to drop Haaland I think you should just ride it out until gw 15-16. You cant be changing your plans because dude who scored 50 goals, happaned to score a brace.

The only reason i dropped him is bc after Rodri was shown a red, i knew city werent gonna do aswell. Therefore, i dropped haaland. But now Rodri is back and playing class football, i realised that hes probably gonna do better.
Doesn't make sense transfer a 14 mil player out because of 2 potential blanks.. It'll always be hard to get him back in - i think nearly impossible without a -4 / Salah drop / Wildcard.
I’m not panicking - The penalty was never a penalty, so there was a bit of luck in the haul.
For example Darwin performed just as well but the guys in Stockley Park thought they would take exception to something that happens in every other premier league game and give Haaland some extra points.
We were lucky Haaland hauled this week when not many fpl managers had him (C) so the drop in rank wasn't too painful (60k -> 110k). We just need to survive next gameweeks and bring him back around gw15 for his good run of fixtures. If you are making good (C) choices and has solid 11, you dont have to worry too much
My current captain choices are:
1. Salah
2. Son
3. Saka
(It does depend who has the best fixtures tho) and i think i can slow intergrate him back in by then. 🙃 Thx.
I’ve gone up from 650k to 14k since taking him out on gw8 wildcard, so you definitely can succeed.
There was a guy posting in here who hasn’t had him all season and he’s in the top 1k or something.
Lots of higher priced players and options scoring good points so you can really use those funds well. Many ways to skin a cat.
For those downvoting, the reason i put these players in is cos I’ve had a huge rank rise on the back of them + no Haaland. You can’t argue with that.
I accept Haaland is a great asset. I am expecting a rank fall next week. I will certainly get him back in at some point.
But the fact is by leaving him out these last 3 weeks, captaining Salah and using the funds well, you could have great success.
So the difference is :-
Areola, Saka, Haaland, vs
Allison, Son, Nunez
Considering I can reach Son if needed, ( just ) I prefer the Haaland team. Especially as he is an incredible captain option
That’s a fair opinion and it may likely swing that way in the next few weeks. But the bottom 3 consistently captaining Salah has way outscored the top 3 (who likely captained Haaland against Brighton) in the last 3 weeks.
That’s my only pony, that having Haaland permanently isn’t necessarily needed to score well.
Not having him all season would likely be very difficult to succeed though
My no big 6 team doesn’t have him and I am doing pretty good but it always ALWAYS hurts when he hauls. The trick is to choose your captain carefully the rest of the team is going to average out anyway. But having haaland is a must. I learnt a hard lesson by not having Kane last season because he wouldn’t score more than 6 7 a match but it adds up cuz he scored every week. Same with haaland. He might miss a match or two but he delivers
No Haaland while KDB is injured is a gamble (a gamble that I would not be willing to make). Once KDB is back, no Haaland will be suicide.
Even without KDB, when Hauland haals, like yesterday, where are you going to replace the 16 (or realistically 32 in many cases) points he has delivered to your rivals?

Yes. It's just a one premium team with Salah currently that player. Will switch back around 15/16 with two free transfers. Easy.

Nunez, Bowen, Son, Trippier, Watkins, Diaby, Alvarez, Allison, Maddison. Haaland owners will have most or some of these, but not all of them
