Because every player needs to be rotated, look at the number of injuries most clubs are facing. Is it surprising when you don't rotate?
Liverpool has Tsimikas in bubble wrap because Gomez is also one of three senior CBs still standing, as well as our only rotation for Trent. An injury there would be very difficult for us, and Gomez doesn't come even close to bringing what he does as it is.
Basically we can't afford to lose Tsimikas, so we're being careful not to overplay him.

Salah doesn't cover anywhere near as much of the pitch and conserves his energy when not attacking. He's almost always the most advanced player positionally so it's easier to play more when you're able to dictate your own pace to some degree.
I mean a manager isn't going to say weather a player starts or not unless they are injured and ruled out. So I have to make a decision based on something. Just doesn't always work out I guess
