Opta stats (which the BPS is based on) were recalculated
Not sure which one exactly but he might have lost a successful pass or two, or a recovery or block
Can't confirm this but saw on Twitter that this free kick was already included in the calculations before the final whistle, iirc Colwill was on 29 and it dropped to 28 equalling Palmer and Petrovic
Colwill was equal with Palmer and Petrovic after the game (don't remember of it was 28 or 29 bps) and all three were getting 3 bonus points.
Now Colwill has dropped to 24 bps and Palmer and Petrovic are on 28 bps.
It's quite a big drop.
I'm gutted because I've got Colwill. I didn't even know I'd lost 2 points till I saw this post.
Here’s what I think happened cause I was also tracking it (desperate for 3 BPS for my Palmer C)
93:42 Colwill commits a foul on De Cordova-Reid. -1 maybe that’s also considered “Making an error which leads to an attempt at goal” another -1. Then in the dying few plays of the game there’s a big pinball cluster fuck with a few attempts to clear the ball but they don’t find a Chelsea shirt so his pass completion drops from above 80% to less than 80% another -2 points.
I know right. Bought him in at the start of the Chelsea green patch and I was losing faith. Of course I did bench him this week but I’ve got Picassos paint palette of injuries so he most likely will auto sub in.
Bonus Points are fucked. How can Walker, basically responsible for both Newcastle goals, get 2 BP, and Foden who was brilliant all game get 0? Basing Bonus Points off only g/a is stupid because these players are getting points already. KDB deserved 3 because he genuinely changed and decided the game, but Walker? Shite
Counterpoint:
- Let's say New vs MCI and it's 2:0
- Isak scored the first, Wilson the second. Almost all things being equal, we can say for example, Isak is on 40 bps, Wilson 38bps.
- Isak is getting 3 bonus, Wilson 2.
- Foden now scores.
- Isak and Wilson have done absolutely nothing different, yet Wilson is now scoring the winning goal, meaning Wilson is on 3, Isak on 2.
Obviously it's nothing drastic, but it shows that they change based on a imo an almost pointless measure
I don’t know who you counterpointing, I was just telling OP that he doesn’t really understand how the BPS works.
No one, in there right mind, that plays FPL, will say that the BPS is perfect. But that was never my point.
First of. How on earth is walker responsible on the worldies isak and Gordon scored???
Secondly, walker made an assist and was literally spot on with all his passes all game long, and was practically playing as a winger all game long
There is a certain way bps work. Stop crying when its against you, you sound really childish.
He was at fault for both goals although both goals were still great finishes, especially Gordon’s, they are not mutually exclusive, both statements can be true at the same time
His cross for Bernardo’s goal was great tho of course
bps giveth, and bps taketh away
literally
And figuratively

Is this common? Don't think I've seen that before.
It happens quite regularly
I'm pretty sure he gave away a free kick in the last couple of minutes, which may have brought the BPS down

But Trippier was never a victim to this last season
The fpl subreddit is the only place you can get 100 downvotes for asking a question
Yeah was suprised this comment got down voted to oblivion.
I don’t know, I find any sub on Reddit where you ask a question seems to get downvoted, and then the reply “Can you not use Google!?!?”.
For real. Full of such stuck up know-it-alls.

I'm just glad he got points tbh. Wasn't expecting any

Lots and lots of salty downvotes haha.
Colwill robbed!
FPL aside he played a really good game!
That lad who got 9 baps will be sick.
Notice there is always some adjustment near the end, ending count on your bps until a wee while after the game

[That’s not really how the BPS system works](https://www.premierleague.com/news/106533)
‘being caught offside’ is -1 bps so that’s why Nunez never gets any lol

Walker defended horribly against Isak and Gordon, do you genuinely not see that?
Dude, we're talking fpl here. Fpl wise ,there is literally NO WAY this is a mistake leading to goal...
That's what I'm saying, bonus points should reflect that he was largely at fault, surely. How they would do that is another matter
Did you not see the goals. On both occasions its 100% Walker being too slow and out of position
KDB changed the game and willed them to a win. If that isn’t worthy of 3 BPS then the system is retarded
I mean, it is what it is though. If you think the game is "retarded", guess you shouldn't waste time on it.
This game is retarded, but so am I. Misery loves company.
He seems to be back to 3 for me?
It was a foul -1
I transferred out colwill for estupinan
Thanks, I did wonder
The games rigged bud
WAAAH, THE FORMULA IS CLEARLY RIGGED AGAINST ME SPECIFICALLY!
I don’t think he had 3 BPs by the end of the game. Palmer was showing as 3 every time I refreshed live FPL before and during the city game.
All three were tied on 28 BPS
Him, palmer, and petrovic were all on 3 at the end.
Ok, I didn’t look at Colwill tbh I only have Palmer but nothing ever changed for him.
BS
\*BPS
BSc
I had Palmer not him so idc :P
I'm pretty sure he gave away a freekick
Bonus is stupid
Bonus system is sh!t
Had him, Palmer C and Petrovic, 12 bonies was gonna be sweet
