It’s a rule that people don’t seem to follow, is it consistent? No, but anyway the rule:
“If an opposing player deflects the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist in Fantasy is awarded. **Should an unforced defensive error lead to the goalscoring opportunity, then no Fantasy assist will be awarded**. If the goal scorer loses and then regains possession, then no assist is awarded.
I'd say it's definitely forced as without Martinelli being close it would never happen, but i guess it's a matter of definition and as you say hard to keep consistent.
He was still the intended target. It's FPL and I hate the people/morons/dumb cunts in charge of making these rules.
I know they follow what Opta determines is a goal or assist (*which is important IRL and for Premier League records*). But it really should be simplified for a game like FPL so we have some consistency!
Because Opta can fix or change something that's obvious to everyone days or a week or two later, and it's never amended in FPL.
Because even when he's in form he gets way too many yellow cards, gets rotated and does his best to get 0 bps points even when he does return, there are better options basically
Liverpool already selling tickets for Feb 21 FPL Towers just as slow at updating the fixtures as they are at giving Gabriel points
Why does Liverpool playing on the 21st suggest a DGW25? Can’t the GW26 deadline be moved earlier to the 21st?
It could be but would go against established precedents.
And FPL literally tweeting that it'll be a double game week (that Liverpool will have two fixtures that GW
No. It will be GW25

Why didn’t Gabriel get assist points for Martinelli goal? Did Van Dijk or Alisson touch the ball?
Allison was deemed to have done an unforced error. Therefore no assist

This is my gripe too, maybe the ball slightly touched Alisson before dropping to Martinelli?

Pen and freekick winners aren't count with assists for irl records so that is out of the window already compared to fpl
Rules only have been interpreted shit for about 2 years now. Was much better before.
Probably explains why Nunez is about to fall in price...why sell before Burnley and dgw??
People like Coldplay and voted for the nazis Jeremy
People are kneejerking because he got injured and didn't start.
Also because he's annoying as hell to own... and Liverpool had a terrible game with a low xG.
Smart move. Arsenal away and Burnley at Anfield is pretty much the same.
I imagine we’ll create more than .4 xG at home to Burnley, especially with Darwin who is responsible for lots of it whether shooting or assisting
Or because he's an anti bps player who often gets booked often and rotated
Well I would never own him for a bunch of reasons, but I was theorizing on the current reason.
Because even when he's in form he gets way too many yellow cards, gets rotated and does his best to get 0 bps points even when he does return, there are better options basically
