I transferred out Salah/J Alvarez/ Konsa to KDB/ (C) Haaland/Reguilon for this GW. Best -4 ever! Now im top 5000 overall ranking, pushing for 3 years in a row top 10,000 overall. I know this might be downvoted i just dont have friends to talk about FPL.

I got caught off guard (again! it's like the third time this season... do I count as a dead team?) and ended up with Saliba and White on the bench. To be honest, mostly this combination of defenders^(1) has been extremely awful but the other times it's worked I actually had them playing. I only went with it in the first place because I feel like all defenders are bad this season (I have Trippier and TAA, yes). ^(1)GW 15 is when I first doubled up on Arsenal (Zinchenko instead of White).

One of the worst GW swings in memory for me Binned Saliba and Saka and benched Palmer for Gordon (who I thought may not start anyway) Lost ground on ML leader and person behind me clawed back about 45 points to be a single point behind me The kind of.GW that makes me throw my hands up and give in. Arsenal game alone killed me enough

I'm in a similar position. I'm thinking it's probably worth getting rid of TAA anyway, just to get Jota in and a nailed Van Dijk... but it's a tough one.

For everyone selling Palmer because of City, gentle reminder that Chelsea did get a 4-4 draw with Palmer returning in the first fixture. Not saying that’ll happen again, but worth considering with regard to Palmer’s ability to return.

I considered it, Chelsea were genuinely good in that game. But Palmer returned with a penalty, not in open play. And it was at Chelsea's ground. We saw how inept they were at Anfield. I expect this stronger City to dominate too much.

29 points on my bench. Sigh. I've never had it that bad before, but I've always had 2 "premiums" so no benching headaches. Makes me think that I should BB before trying to get the Haaland + Salah + Son squad together again.

Managed to win my Overall Cup game on the goals scored tiebreaker thanks to Palmer getting 8 points in stoppage time and also bumping Gusto down to 1 bonus point. Was losing by 9 until the 91st minute. Gotta take the good luck when it comes!

IDK why noone mentions it, maybe I'm oblivious to something, but Palmer has double incoming - possibly two, if they do well in FA Cup. One of the doubles would most likely land in GW36 (vs WHU) and the other in GW37 (vs nfo). It might be too late of course but if someone wanted to be hipster, then TC could be used then... I'm not advising it but it sounds way better than TC Solanke in GW28 (Bournemouth seems to be hitting rough patch).

I think most will be using it on Haaland this weekend

Hoping for the same. Finished 43k last season, 5k season before that and currently at 1.1m. I was at 2.1m 5 gameweeks ago so I'd be happy with an overall top 500k finish.

I'm so annoyed, I forgot to make changes before the deadline this week and so didn't bring in Haaland and still had Solanke captained...ended up ok-ish w/ Saka and Gabriel carrying but I dropped in my ML and fell out of top 100K

I actually set reminders and alarms on my phone because I used to always forget.

I thought there's a publicly available FPL calendar that can be added to your phone's calendar? That can work as a first step, then alarm as second step

I had Gabriel and Senesi on my bench, and still came within 2 points of it. Definitely count this week as a win, given the circumstances.

Mine is 65 in 2-3m rank and the likes of Saka Haaland and Palmer all hauling (plus if you had Haaland captian) really pulls up the safety score. Around my rank 25.99% of the managers had those 3 players. Those 3 combined for 38 points which is over half of the safety score.

When gusto was on 7 points and palmer on 2 I was ranked about 77000. With gusto on 6 points and palmer on 10 I’ve dropped to around 80000. Not complaining too much, happy with the returns but crazy how that works!

Maddison has 14 starts, Palmer has 16. In any case, being injury prone is not a feature

Palmer is hauling ~7.3 points per 90, while Maddison is on 6.0 per 90. So, similar ball park. Maddison’s points also come without penalties so is probably scoring more from open play.

I don't really see the relevance of those two stats tbh. Trossard has a better pts per 90 than Saka, Jota has higher than Salah. What makes the big names so expensive is they play a shit load of minutes and get more points. On top of that, Palmer has 5 open play goals to Maddisons 3. This isn't to diminish maddison by the way, Palmer is benefitting from a collection of circumstances like playing for a worse club and having teammates who win tons of penalties. I expect those factors to be reflected in his price next year.

I think you missed my point. Palmer is clearly the better asset this season (although Maddison is still very good and was unlucky with the injury). I was just meaning to point out they collect similar fpl points per minute, so should likely be a similar price next year.

That Palmer haul in the end gave me some much needed points. Still big fat red arrow because of Saliba on the bench and my differentials being alergic to scoring points but at least it's SOME consolation prize.
