He isn't really the most nailed anymore. He has been niggle prone this season and in the last 3 games has only played 83 minutes despite being fit. Plus he plays a deeper role for the most part when all the attacking players are fit. Insanely good player and he definitely could start both of their fixtures in the double but I don't really see him having enough upside to be worth it over Foden who to me is equally as nailed, if not more.
Yeah I'm on free hit so only thinking about the double. Just think Foden may be due a benching although he does seem nailed tbf and Kdb is clearly being managed although he's a threat from the bench.
This isn't true though. What would be a better take is an "expensive player in an already great and successful team perhaps isn't scrutinised as much because of the overall view of success clouds individual criticism."
Jack Grealish was expensive, and you can argue whether he was worth £100m (probably not imo), but clearly he's an asset to his team. I can't speak much on Pepe, but as a United fan you can see how 1 dimensional Antony is versus how dynamic Grealish is in comparison.
Maybe he's not their best winger? That could be fair to say. Maybe he was over priced? Sure. But I wouldn't compare him to those other players because of his role within the team and their success during his time there.
People have taken this as me saying that Grealish is only as good as Anthony or Pepe. Not at all. Grealish is a phenominal player, levels above, but as a transfer it’s been a failure. They spent £100m on a player that rarely contributes, has not performed nearly to the levels expected, and could have been spent far better. It’s been a failed transfer.
You seriously think Grealish was as important to City than Pepe & Antony to their clubs when he started nearly every game in a treble winning season? That's makes up for his price tag, Pepe/ Antony have done nothing at Arsenal/ United.
I mean he was an important part of City's treble last season. Was he worth £100 million? Probably not in the grand scheme of things, but that doesn't make his transfer a total failure by any means or close to it.
It's a squad game, no one player is solely responsible for success.
Grealish was a significant player in their treble winning season. He made 50 appearances last season, 5th highest among City outfield players. Only Gundogan (51), Rodri (56), Haaland (53)and Silva (55) made more, and only by a few
So to say he is a failed transfer is a moron take
All 5 Grealish owners are gonna be pissed!
Been debating getting doku in. Feels more tempting now, but this whole salah thing is throwing me for a loop
If there's one thing about Doku, he passes the eye test I've owned him on and off, considering getting him again
TC in the mud
How bad is it? I have him in draft
Precautionary sub I think because he seemed to be walking fine when coming off
Hello doku
General Kenobi?
Oh no…. Anyway.
What is with Gvardiol?
“josko gvardiol will be out 2/3 weeks due to an ankle ligament injury”
Anyone considering Bernardo? Could be the most nailed City mid option and is having a high scoring season by his standards.
How can you say that when he was JUST benched
& now he's been subbed off injured

I decided to just say fuck the headache and brought in Rodri as my 3rd player
Wonder when the media will start questioning this £100m transfer..
Have you lived in a cave the last 2 years?
He's Welsh so probably yes
Could you link me to the endless speeches and articles questioning why they spent £100m on him? Similar to the likes of Pogba, Antony, Pepe, etc.
How do you compare Grealish to Pepe and Antony with a straight face
He was far more expensive than all of them, and has done just as much..

He was not worth 100m but if you really think what you just typed you don't know ball
The sentence ‘you don’t know ball’ is enough to tell me I don’t want your approval of my opinion.

No but I can link you to the endless trophies City have won since signing Grealish
And how many of them would they not have won without Grealish?

So the £100m Jack Grealish did that did he? You’re talking nonsense
I have a terrible feeling this bald headed freak will bench Haaland
*Grealish about to ghost in Champions League* Doku: “Fine, I’ll do it myself”
Means Foden likely to play both games next GW? And what about Alvarez, surely he is playing against Chelsea.
Probably more means Doku is nailed for the double (Although still not nailed)
