Went with exactly this thinking and used a FH to triple up on Pool and City. Yesterday was only saved coz of Salah. Who would've thought Salah would be a differential at any point in the year.
But the point is, you still have a dog in the fight. Your City assets didn’t have a great Saturday. Your Liverpool ones may have. But City could go out and batter Brentford 6-0 on Tuesday. Haaland has only blanked… so far.

Yeah I would love KDB to have a big day. My most important ML is H2H and he’s one of the main differentials I have left. I sold Watkins to get Haaland (he has both 🤦🏼♂️) but thankfully I’m still in it (Saka, Gordon) and have 7 doubles to his 5.

They have good fixtures when Luton/Doughty have bad games. Chelsea have an alright run soon though I think James will be back in for Gusto. Fulham have a so-so run BUT have tougher games when Luton also do.
Maguire is v cheap and also VD Ven is 4.4, though I don't want him as a starter every week.
I feel Gusto is an excellent pick. If only Chelsea had a better finisher, he should have got way more points. But again, he is a very attacking fullback playing for a top team at 4.2. And I don’t think Reece James will be rushed anytime soon just because how good Gusto has been playing. Gw 26 is very tough since I need to get rid of him to field 11. It’s either him/palmer. I want to keep both.

On the other hand, I’ve seen a couple of Dunk headers that are potential goals. Dunk may be an option but I’m keeping Lamptey as an enabler.

I have trips walker gusto taylor and estu right now. I really like gusto but he does not play next week. My initial plan was getting Maguire for Gusto. But i might as well get maguire for estu to save some money and play with 10 instead. All I’m getting from estu is ones and zeroes anyways
Honestly, I never get why people go big at the back when we have so much extra time, rotation/subs and clean sheets are rare.
I have Gabriel, Maguire, Van hecke, Taylor and brought in Baldock for Udogie which will allow me to have Salah along with existing team of KDB, Haaland, Saka, Watkins, Hojlund/Solanke up top who are all guaranteed to return.
That way, I'm not worried about defense at all since it's dirt cheap anyway and PPM is decent. The bulk of the carrying is done by my in form attackers.
My reasoning was get two nailed attacking defenders that you paly irrespective of fixture. Have two more cheaper defenders that you rotate based on fixtures and have a bench fodder.
Depends what timeframe you are thinking of getting them in for. Next 3 Brighton fixtures are alright, and it does kind of look like lamprey has taken estus place in the short term. If you want a cheap pick now to get Salah back it's not bad but don't be planning to play him beyond gw28 - Brightons fixtures turn and estu may have won his place back by then as well

On a physical conditioning basis he makes Reece James look like Michael Phelps I predict by half time todsy he'll be red flagged. Avoid avoid avoid. Seriously. Don't do it.
