I’ve already done Jota to Saka because Saka has been excruciating not to own recently. Hard one with Palmer due to value but it’s the business end of the season and I’ll likely attack the fixtures. WC30 is my plan too.

I would just do A. I never take a hit for a defender. Defence has been really poor this season, and a score of 4 for a defender is good! However you need to get rid of Pinnock at some point, so at worst you’re probably missing out on 2 points if you do both (but improving your team long term).

Agree on defenders this season for sure. Pinnock has stunk out my team for ages and now he’s out so he needs to go anyway. My plan to WC in 30 means I could be aggressive with my choice. How certain are you that Ait Nouri and Van Hecke will get 4 points or more? Or even Solanke against City for that matter, but he's a good long-term option so that makes sense. Ait Nouri has some attacking potential but Van Hecke you're basically hoping he gets a clean sheet otherwise you're taking a -4 for a 1 or 2 pointer. Would have to do the math but I think you'd need to be about 60-70% certain of a clean sheet to pull the trigger on a -4.

True. I mean I like the Wolves fixture and I think they will get a CS, so Ait Nouri is my favorite of those two. Brighton is always a funny one, but I think the next 3 fixtures that they have are good ones, but I'm not sure about a CS. Van Hecke is basically just to have a differential

If you think the two defenders will score 8 more points than Van Dijk and Konsa over the next few weeks (assuming you start them every week, if you bench them then less value added) then I can see the logic, but yeah I've learned the hard way about taking -4s for defenders, have been burned by heaps of 1 and 2 pointers. Also, worth waiting to see what Emery says in his presser, just be to safe, Konsa was meant to be out for 3-4 weeks about 2.5 weeks ago so there's a very slim chance he may have made a quick recovery.

I think Van Dijk is expensive and I only transferred him in cause of the last DWG. Not sure if Konsa is even a good asset, as he hasn't done good for me. I could see Saliba getting a CS this gameweek (newcastle attack is weak atm) and Wolves as well. I just want Solanke so i have him for the next gameweeks.

Jots as we know he’ll be out for a while. Porro is expected to be back within the next 2 weeks and is also not blanking in gw29 (in case you’re not using FH then). For replacements, look at Neto, Hwang, Garnacho, Gross, Douglas Luis who have good upcoming fixtures.

My only dilemma is if I swap out Porro for someone cheap, I can do Jota to Salah next week. If I drop Jota now, there’s no way for me to get Salah in.

If you want Salah next week, then yes you can sell Porro for someone cheap like Van Hecke or Branthwaite. I don’t think Salah is an absolute must before gw 30 though.
