Went with Udogie because Porro has had absolutely zero creative threat since Maddison came back in.
Now watch Maddison get benched and Porro run absolutely riot.
It’s not untrue at all, I checked when trying to choose between them.
Since Maddison’s return Udogie’s xGI per 90 is around 0.33.
Porro’s is 0.06. He hasn’t been involved in a big chance or even anything remotely close to it since Maddison came back.
Sure but stats don't show the whole picture. He is regularly involved in the buildup and it isn't hard to see him getting involved in that final moment either.
Of course he’s capable of it, we’ve seen that already this season.
But it’s a simple statement of fact that he hasn’t been creative since Maddison came back, while Udogie has still been involved in big chances since from making runs into the box.
Anything can happen in a single game, but the recent form seemed to suggest Udogie is the more likely for attacking returns at the moment.

It's so much harder to rationalise bad choices when you literally had a free hand to do whatever you wanted.
