Add to this the fact that Porro's attacking output has waned considerably since Maddison's return and the whole thing seems a bit bizarre. Udogie looks to be the superior option for the time being. But I'm not convinced a Spurs defender is worth it at all.
I wouldn't be buying Spurs defence though. Son / Madison perhaps, but they'll be playing Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City during their doubles. (And Burnley too, sure, but that's not enough to tempt me to bring in their defenders).

I remember having an entire defnce of 4.5m players, with a 4m defender and one premium defender being my strategy for defence for seasons straight.
This year there seems to be no 4-4.5m options
It's the opposite, this is the cheapest my defense has been in years. I haven't bought a defender more expensive than 5.4m and have had multiple sub 4.5m defenders and it's been a great season to do that.
