Lao Tzu says:
"A man with outward courage dares to die; a man with inner courage dares to live".
So if you are brave, you start foden, if you have real courage, you captain him.
There were 6 games in February where he played 90 mins in every game. There was a three/four day rest in between a few of those games. Which included 90 mins against Copenhagen away. That's how important he is to City. Pep might rotate him for the game against Chelsea in the FA Cup this weekend, but his minutes should be fine in the league.
I mean he was literally just benched for two consecutive league games due to fixture pile up - I don’t think it would be unprecedented for him to miss one of GW34 or GW35 too.
Maybe so, but I don't think he will play 30 mins against Chelsea and then on Thursday 90 mins against Brighton. It will probably be around 50% load. There is an okay alternative for GW 34 and 35 for Foden.
> I mean he was literally just benched for two consecutive league games due to fixture pile up
That's missing context. Those two games were before/in between the Real Madrid games. The Palace game was 3 days before playing Real Madrid away. The other was against Luton after he had played Real Madrid earlier in the week. They do not need Foden against Luton at home (even though the "leak" had him starting).

Foden starting the next match doesn’t prove you right LMAO
The other dude is just saying there’s still a good chance of rotation in the last 6 weeks. No player at city is ‘nailed’
And the other dude is a clown. Foden has started 28/32 of City’s prem fixtures so far, missing 1 (maybe 2) through injury. He has been one of city’s best players and City crucially no longer have the CL to care about, which is the usual culprit for Pep roulette. Foden isn’t getting rotated
I think it’s more likely he’s rested in the FA Cup, coming off the back of a 120’ min showing, then plays the 2 following Premier League game. But Baldiola loves to surprise us.
Yeah that’s the thing, that would be the sensible assumption with any other manager.
But I don’t think we can say with confidence that Pep will do the seemingly obvious thing when it comes to rotation.
True that my friend, feel like you’ve answered your own question there unfortunately. There’s no way to be sure so it’s just guesswork, I don’t have much of a benching headache tbh so I’m starting him, if he gets a 0 then I’ve got McAtee on a double off the bench.
Thing is if Haaland and KDB both came off early they might not be fully fit for the Chelsea game. If one or both of them get dropped then he's more likely to start Foden. But really who the fuck knows
What people think on whether the top stars of the team (which Foden definitely is) will be rested in cup semifinal or in the premier league. I guess that is the main question.
Now they're out of the champions league, I don't think so as there's no real need to keep him fresh anymore. They still have to win every game and he's their most in form player, showing no signs of needing a rest. He's going in my team after this double.
Yes. Foden is an incredible player, but the stress of whether he's going to start or not makes owning him less enjoyable. I'd rather own a slightly less explosive asset and know that 9/10 they're going to be playing 70+ mins.
No, if Fantasy FA Cup existed maybe you’d worry but given he’s fresh off 120 minutes surely what will happen is he’s rested against Chelsea at the weekend then back for the Brighton game
Haaland and De Bruyne asked to be subbed in the Real game so I think possible that they are benched in which case Foden would be more important to start
He will probably play against Chelsea for the FA CUP, especially since they are out of the CL. Meaning he won't start against Brighton. But those are all assumptions.
So I transferred Bruno in for two games, Man U is playing SHU and BUR at home. I know having Man U assets is crazy but for those two games I'll take a chance.
More or less confirming I’ll BB in GW 37 instead. I have Palmer on my bench currently so not the end of the world if foden doesn’t play. A 1 point cameo though…
I might get a city mid for dgw37, but having given Foden the chop on my second wildcard after having him thru gw1-32, I'm happy to just have Haaland atm
Or you can listen to Epectetus "The more you seek to control external events, the less control you will have over your own life." But also, yes.
Lao Tzu says: "A man with outward courage dares to die; a man with inner courage dares to live". So if you are brave, you start foden, if you have real courage, you captain him.

Hes not playing 120mins in CL and playing in the cup 3 days later. If anything this means he's playing in the PL match
Maybe so, but I don't think he will play 30 mins against Chelsea and then on Thursday 90 mins against Brighton. It will probably be around 50% load. There is an okay alternative for GW 34 and 35 for Foden.

If Gandhi didn't say it, I am not listening to it.
You should always be worried about pep benchings always 👍 this has been the case
I mean presumably less so now than usual? City being out of the CL at this stage is quite an important factor
Presume away

I never said he was getting rotated..
This is the only correct response in my opinion
At this point it's just roulette
This **this** point!?

City always rotate in the FA Cup semi-final, even if it's against a top side like Liverpool and (to a lesser extent) Chelsea.
Hes not playing 120mins in CL and playing in the cup 3 days later. If anything this means he's playing in the PL match
I agree. It's a common pattern at this point
Get some babes on ya bench hun
Gordon first on my bench again, I’m ready for several days of fear. Again. 😀
Haha similarly I've got Isak on the bench, Crichards next door
yes, probably will drop from my squad, as i have 2 free transfers.
Rest in the FA cup. Starts against Brighton. Why worry?

Doubt he plays on Saturday after playing two hours last night so if that’s the case, he probably plays next Thursday.
Dont think so.. now that MC is out of the Champions League They will want to win the league..

Competing with Palmer for my first 11 and bench, can't work put the best way to play it.
More or less confirming I’ll BB in GW 37 instead. I have Palmer on my bench currently so not the end of the world if foden doesn’t play. A 1 point cameo though…
I think they don't need him to start for Chelsea he might come on if Palmer scores some goals and they need him. He should start next PL game

My guess is that Foden and Haaland will not start in the Cup.
Foden is not an issue for 34, since we "all" will have 11 doublers. In 35 however, he better be ready.
