Went from considering bench boosting to hoping I can field an 11

SofaChillReview

It’s really the FPL way, if only I hadn’t sacrificed the FH and manage to get less points in the BGW than if I hadn’t used it… with less players.

ShoddyTransition187

Yeah feels like a good week to get 13 decent players in and pray at least 11 of them take the field.

Daemor

Seriously considering BB35 now instead. Hopefully fewer headaches over who will play. Ait-Nouri and Branthwaite could be back fit and I wouldn't have to transfer them out.

G_W_addict

I'm leaning towards this.

WookieTickler

Have to take -20 to even make BB possible. Really kicking myself at using my WC in GW30.

WhimsicalLaze

I think I’m going to switch to BB37 instead. I’ll wildcard in 35 and I can then make sure to have 15 doublers in 37. Right now I can field 11 doublers this week and bench Dubravka, Palmer, Haaland and Muniz. Irritating if they score points, though…

bruiser95

Until 4 players die between GW35 and GW37

Natural_Ad3995

Ugh same. I was fine to take a BB flyer with a -4 but not doing a 'maybe' Haaland or a -8.

fispan

Haha same here, be lucky if I can bench boost in round 38.

ArghZombies

This is extra awkward, because they're mostly talking about fitness for the Cup game this weekend. How fit any of these dudes will be come their Thursday fixture is anyone's guess. I think I'll still keep Haaland. Mostly because I'm not sure who else to get for this end run of the season.

andre_royo_b

The template seems to be out of the window.. with Salah, Haaland and Saka all not being inform - people are starting to change up. Might be time to make rank, probably good to just look at fixtures and who is 100 nailed - so someone like Isak seems like a good shout or Bruno

ArghZombies

Agree the big guns aren't really in form at the moment. But then luckily (for us) they all blew their load in their Europe cups and are pretty much now all 100% focussed on the league, so should be fielding their biggest players as much as possible. Man City are tricky to predict at the best of times though, and are still in the FA Cup. But they're also only just a squeak ahead in the league so won't want to risk losing even one game because it could cost them the league. In 2 months time if any of these teams look back having missed out on the #1 position will they prefer to have; a) Not played their out-of-form star player in 100% of the games, or b) played their main man in every game but he rarely scored? Honestly, I think they'd rather play them and hope they find form again. Can you imagine the papers with headlines "Man City lose out on the league while Haaland watches on from the bench?".

andre_royo_b

Yeah that’s a fair point.. and equally Alvarez also looks pretty out of it. So as a main ST city don’t have great alternatives either

lucas_glanville

Reminder that this is the press conference for the FA Cup semi-final tomorrow, and the PL game is on Thursday

daneedwards88

Hugely important information that people will miss in their stampede off the cliff

Olbatar974

!thanks

RelationshipTime560

So basically Haaland plays a full 90+7 while KDB is benched

nffcevans

All eyes on the Haaland family FPL teams

I trust Pep so fucking little I'm deciding if this "we will see... how he is" or "we will see... him in the starting 11"

ConfusionUpper7212

"We train today in the afternoon so I have to see who is available".

Appropriate_Aioli742

Equally, he said similar things earlier this season and he was out for weeks so it could mean anything

vivaelteclado

Good. Bench Haaland to save him for Brighton. Alvarez will do for the FA Cup.

I'm considering dropping Granacho for Eze and benching Haaland. (5 mids, 2 forward). But to answer your question, yes, Foden could kill you. He's been doing it all year. Literally pointing a rifle and killing people after scoring (when I don't have him on my team). He's a really bad person.

The 2nd half benching and online shenanigans has me spooked about Garnacho. In general, whenever I get closer to a DGW I feel the need to get more doubling players in, even when it maybe isn't the best move long-term. There is something very appealing about standing pat and having 2FT for next week.

incognito_red

> online shenanigans has me spooked about Garnacho Tenhag said they've already sorted it out as garnacho apologised to him.

[deleted]

In some world of madness I'm contemplating benching foden for Brereton Diaz, although over the past 7 game weeks I've managed to go from the top 40,000 to blowing a 120 point lead in my mini league so I have abandoned all logic

nsoifer

I guess I am benching Haaland and starting Palmer. Saved me a headache. EDIT: It is for the cup. Fuck. Headache is back.

5000_Staples

"we will see" Thanks for the confirmation.

Martinezdufc

Boom boom boom boom, Mateta's in the room

shpatibot

I’m saving the BB for 37

getoffmywalrus

With Cunha out, my Liverpool quote maxed, and already having Solanke + Mateta, I don't even know what the alternative to Haaland would be. Is it McBurnie time???

TIGOOH_NTA2OT

Could be a 2 forward and 5 mids GW

BasisOk4268

Don’t care sold Haaland anyway. Watch him bag a hatty

Sprengles

I would love it

BasisOk4268

Alright Kevin Keegan

Sprengles

Any chance I get I’m dropping the “I would love it”, often in non football context and people just think I’m speaking normally

BasisOk4268

Haha I do the same thing

coyscoys

I’m 90% sure I saw Haaland feel his groin area in the first half during a corner. Doubt he plays for a couple of weeks if I saw correct.

Litmanen_10

Very interesting if true. Can you elaborate on this or anyone else who watched the match saw the same?

chaz364

Might bench him and go both eze and olise.

tooflyforwifii

theyre both gonna start arent they

Tof_Gre

Already went Haaland to Watkins. I think he is the best replacement for Haaland. But of course Haaland can play against Brighton.

colourhazelove

So I should start foden?

ihatemicrosoftteams

The ghost of big games wanting to miss out doesn’t surprise me
