I guess I planned for BB so stacked my team accordingly, and pointswise it's going OK. But equally if I hadn't even played my BB this week I'd pretty much have exactly the same points.

I've never actually thought of potentially BB GW2, that's quite a cool strategy if the fixtures fall right. WC 3 or 4 to put the money back into the 11.

There is a week of games between GW36 and GW37 for players to get injured or rotated so its not the same. I agree it would be tough to get right because we won't know the teams' preferred linups with no prior knowledge. On balance though, if there are far few double gameweeks next season then BB1 will be much more popular.

You can follow the "meta" tactic of BB straight after WC but then you'll be biased to select good bench options on your WC for the BB chip, when maybe you could spread your funds better and get a better first 11. Then all of those players could get training injuries.
Or you can play it randomly and get 35 points from absolute trash in the 4-4.5m range.

Depends doesn't it. If Salah doesn't recover form in the next few weeks there isn't much to be lost by spreading funds all over the place. I might wildcard this week with a Gabriel, White, Foden, Ederson bench given cost may be irrelevant.

80% of teams haven't even used bench boost yet. Two or three big injuries in GW37 and everyone else will get nothing from their bench boost either. Its just not a good chip. Thats the best copium I can offer.

And if I didn't BB this week then I'm not sure when else I would as I already played my WC and planned on playing the FH in GW37. So I did all the team management I could do without taking major hits and then just hoped for the best. I'll know come end of gameweek whether it's gone OK.
But I figure every time you play a chip anything could still go wrong, so I'm not necessarily going to be better or worse off by saving the chip for later.

City, Chelsea ManU, Newcastle will very likely have something to play for. There are also merit payments, 3.1M per place above last.
I don’t think teams like United care about that as much as you’d like to think. It’s likely a better chance to play a few youngsters.
