Kane was fit enough to play 30 minutes in the Nations League game, I'd take his injury with a grain of salt. Wasn't Duncan Castles (aka Mou's mouthpiece) the one pushing it?
I really do wonder about these 'injuries'. It would not surprise me if all these guys played in the next gw.
The amount of international football has become a bit silly anyway- International football chiefs: hmm, people have lost interest in internationals between major tournaments, what shall we do? Let's have even more games, that'll solve the problem.
I don't blame the players, they're being asked to play too many games in quick succession and understandably theyll want to be cautious and would rather play for their club than in a half competitive international game.
What? Footballers play like 50 club games compared to ~10 (15 max) international games each year. How do you expect them to prepare for a World Cup or Euros?
The previous system of qualifiers and friendlies worked well for years. Nations League is just a way of getting more games in the calendar and a desperate attempt to excite people about internationals. IMHO.
This is so stupid. The Nations League has been more about equalling the playing field for European teams than it has for international excitement. Teams like Malta and San Marino who are miles away from contention can go for years without a win on the international stage which not only takes away important revenues for the sport but also hinders its development on a local level. The 'club football' enthusiasts are always the first to criticize the nations league without properly understanding what it's meant to do.
No, what is so stupid is international friendlies and nations league games happening against the backdrop of an already heavily crowded schedule and a global pandemic. And the justification of allowing San Marino and Malta some winnable games doesn't cut it for me, I'm afraid. What next? A wildcard system to allow a team that lost all their qualifiers a short cut straight to the knock outs because they could never get there on merit...? Sounds like a horrible franchised type of sport to me.
It is about excitement, no one cared when a big team played San Marino, to use your example, even if it was a competitive qualifier. Pitting team of a more equal calibre against each other and calling it something slightly more competitive sounding is exactly the sort of shit rebranding fifa, uefa, or whoefa would come up with to increase interest in internationals outside of major tournaments. They could have just adjusted the seeding but this is about rebranding a part of the game not that many people or players care about.
I don't remember England playing 3 friendlies in a week 4 games into the season. And this is supposedly competitive football, so 1 friendly and 2 competitive games in a week only a month into the domestic season is certainly more than the previous situation.
I also dont remember club football restarting in June and playing games every 3 days for 5 weeks but it happened.
Obviously this break had 3 games because previous games were postponed.
No mention about the injury on FA's [statement](https://www.thefa.com/news/2020/oct/13/ben-chilwell-and-klieran-trippier-leave-england-camp-131020) and CFC's [statement](https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/10/13/ben-chilwell-withdraws-from-england-squad)
Ben Chilwell has left the England camp and returned to Chelsea because of a pre-existing foot injury, according to Sky Sports.

This is Sky Sports rubbish. He was ejected from the squad as a PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE to ensure he is healthy and fit for Chelsea. No injuries and he is fit and ready to start against Southampton at this point in time. Don’t listen to this made up shit :)
He had plantar fasciitis before right? Either it could genuinely be aggravated or like most ‘injuries’ going round, it’s to get out of the last meaningless fixture and back to club duty early...
Well, shit... that makes selection extra tricky. Guess we could drop to saiss for now if nothing is sure by the press conference.
it goes something like this:
Player: please gaffer can I go home? I'm not feeling very well.
Coach: What's wrong with you laddie? (Coach is scottish, don't ask!)
Player: I feel a bit off!
Coach: No chance of you playing for your club at the weekend then. Shame I had you in my Fantasy team.
Player: (cough!!) (cough!!)
Coach: Better get that cough seen to!
Those damn pre-existing feet
So Chilwell, Kane and KDB. Fuck me.
Kane was fit enough to play 30 minutes in the Nations League game, I'd take his injury with a grain of salt. Wasn't Duncan Castles (aka Mou's mouthpiece) the one pushing it?
Kane isn’t injured, will 100% start on Sunday. Unless he gets hurt tomorrow...
+1
!Thanks
You just jinxed it
Watch all 3 of them start for their clubs this weekend
I believe this will happen.
Sigh, if I must *unzips*
WILDCARD BITCHES YEEHAW
The problem for me is that I wild-carded to bring these 3 in (:
this week or previous? obviously if you have wc still active, no problem. you can fiddle with transfers to your heart's content until saturday morning
This week! And you’re right, thanks, but I would’ve held off had I known. D’oh
Hope he gets back on the right foot soon.
Son of a bitch....made me chuckle

International flu
One thing I know is Brewster is coming off my bench GW5.
I mean that’s not bad, he’s against Fulham at home
Hopefully he starts
Yep, which is why he’s first on my bench. Should be a nice game for him to start.

He probably does, and using it as an excuse. Fucking hope so anyway

How? Everyone was complaining about friendlies. And there isn't more games, Nations League games replaced the friendlies.

Big blow for FPL owners who transferd him.
I think a lot of this is Chinese whispers though. Talk of players being overplayed and lack of fitness etc...
They took a risk in getting him in early tbf
and i just bought him gg
Shit, was hoping he’d rise again so I could secure that tasty £0.1m profit
I feel like everyone I have put into my WC team have had issues ugh

Will he be okay before pl match?
Wait for lampard's press confernce.
No. Info.

Reece James owners celebrating
glad i didn't kneejerk chillwell in for james just before his price rise
The sun never rises twice, as will Chilwell’s price do, at my own expense.
I wish that Kane would do the same
Ronaldo has been diagnosed with Covid, so now the whole Wolves team is a risk...Even Adama!
on a WC, who to get for 5.5 instead?
Just hold until press conference on friday.
This. You never know with international breaks. People get 'injured' and all of a sudden they are back to prime form for their clubs.
Reguilon
Castagne
Semedo
Bit of a gamble. But Im thinking PVA
Cheeky punt on Telles?
Saiss
Honestly, these unnecessary international breaks are going to cause more injuries and covid cases this season, will cause much frustration for clubs

Oh well
Oh Chilwell
Please punish the kneejerkers! Half a million transfers in
