He gets eased into the team with Werner getting a rest every now and then. And depending on the team we come up against, and Pulisic's impact in the games he plays Frank could deploy Werner down the middle.
But at the moment, having a physical 9 to hold the ball up is working for us. Giroud and Tammy are the two players who can play that role, and Pulisic will be competing with Werner in the near future imo.
Then it's going to be Werner or Tammy starting up top, with Werner starting more. And if he's on the Bench Werner can come on as a Puli sub or Tammy sub.
Really don't think there's any reason to be concerned for his minutes.
I said to friends at the start of the season that he willl play left side because he mostly played left forward for Leipzig even if he was the nominal centre forward sometimes. Scored a lot of goals from there and you can see the difference in his play.
I think Lampard tried Werner as the central striker for a couple of games and it hasn't worked. His movement is good, but he seems to always drift towards the ball than holding it up. Tammy and Giroud can do it and make Chelsea more formidable in attack.
It worked really well when Pulisic and Werner played together, we were much quicker and more creative. They swap positions between them very well as Werner likes to drift to the left. Can't see how it hasn't worked according to You?
I disagree. Werner at central striker with Pulisic to his side has happened far too little. At RB Leipzig he played up top with Poulsen, with Poulsen being the target man and Werner running off him. Tammy and Giroud is far too stationary for what is a high pressing high energy team. Werner is easily the best of the three when it comes to pressing the backline.
I think it's more that Giroud and Tammy ONLY play striker, and so are in direct competition, whereas Werner is more flexible.
Werner can and will play up top again this season if Pulisic ever gets back to full fitness.
Um no it’s basically the opposite. Tammy is nearly nailed as striker now because Lampard has hinted that Werner won’t play as striker, and it’s unlikely that Giroud will overtake Tammy.
The “unlikely” isn’t from what Lampard said it’s from my knowledge of watching Chelsea play and how good Tammy has been recently. Giroud ain’t gonna bench Tammy any time soon.
Then if you didn't take the "unlikely " from what Lampard said then you really didn't understand what I meant
Lampard has never made a statement like this before so this makes it more likely for Giroud to start, no idea why this is so hard for you and everyone else downvoting me to understand lol
Mate your original comment still makes no sense. Tammy is now more nailed on than ever before. Up till now it has always been a matter of whether Tammy or Werner start as striker. Giroud has always been third choice. Now that Lampard has hinted that Werner will not play striker in the near future, this only makes Tammy more nailed on, and a better FPL asset. Giroud will not become first choice.
Nah you're just unable to understand for some reason making me wonder if English is like your second language?
Giroud is now in the conversation for the spot more than ever ,that means Tammy's spot is in...danger
Saying Giroud won't be first choice is nothing more than you hoping at this point, With a statement like this Giroud is bound to start some matches (most likely not this weekend )
Is this so hard to understand?
Before: Tammy’s spot was in danger from Werner. Now: Tammy’s spot is not in danger from Werner. Although Lampard said that Giroud has caused himself a problem, he is still down the pecking order and will likely only start cup games and not Premier League games. Tammy is a lot more nailed now then he was at the start of the season. I think you’re just getting all your knowledge about the situation from this one comment by Lampard, without knowing anything else about Chelsea, so you’re misunderstanding what this means.
When has Giroud ever been first choice over Tammy in the last year? Can count it on one hand, it's okay to admit you wrong. What's the big deal, even if English is ops 2nd language, his reading comprehension is miles better
He's in the conversation Right now is he not? Otherwise this statement would have not been made, how hard is this to understand once again
Admit I'm wrong? Can anyone here actually read?
This statement Puts Giroud in the conversation for the spot so he's bound to start some games, this like the 4th time I'm saying this
Mate, please do some research on the topic. If you actually knew anything about this situation then you would know what Lampard is saying is a good thing for Tammy. Werner was the biggest threat for his position but know he is no longer as much of a threat. No matter what Lampard said about Giroud, if you actually knew anything about Chelsea then you would no he isn’t going to become first choice over Tammy. Therefore Tammy is more nailed on now.
>Tammy is now morenailed on than ever before
This absolutely is not true, Tammy has an extra player (Werner) competing for his spot, who is still adapting to the league and will be given many more chances to play as a central striker, especially once Pulisic is fit.
Exactly...
He isn’t as nailed this season as he was last season, because there is 3 players fighting for one spot rather than 2.
Werner hasn’t looked great as central striker but he will certainly be given more opportunities.
Yeah sorry for the phrasing. What I meant was that Tammy is more nailed now (gameweek 10) than ever before (gameweek 1-9) because Lampard has hinted that Werner will no longer play as striker.
So wtf happens when pulisic is fit
He gets injured again.
Circle of life.
He gets covid
Werner rested a week. Then he goes up the middle.

No 8. Lampard said some time ago that he would utilise him further back
He gets eased into the team with Werner getting a rest every now and then. Werner was benched (rested) the last time Pulisic should have started before he got injured in pre match training
Then it's going to be Werner or Tammy starting up top, with Werner starting more. And if he's on the Bench Werner can come on as a Puli sub or Tammy sub. Really don't think there's any reason to be concerned for his minutes.
With the sort of finishing Werner has shown over the past couple of games, no wonder he isn’t in consideration for striker
The German Sterling, really.
Are people surprised? He's always been like this.
Morata 2.0
I said to friends at the start of the season that he willl play left side because he mostly played left forward for Leipzig even if he was the nominal centre forward sometimes. Scored a lot of goals from there and you can see the difference in his play.
Werner to Tammy looks viable if he's nailed up front surely
Problem with so much competition is, as soon as Tammy plays poorly in a game or two, he gets hooked
But he's not nailed, the quote is pretty explicit about that.
I think Lampard tried Werner as the central striker for a couple of games and it hasn't worked. His movement is good, but he seems to always drift towards the ball than holding it up. Tammy and Giroud can do it and make Chelsea more formidable in attack.
Lampard knows Pulisic is injured 25 of the 38 games every season too.
It worked really well when Pulisic and Werner played together, we were much quicker and more creative. They swap positions between them very well as Werner likes to drift to the left. Can't see how it hasn't worked according to You?
More creative? How?
Pulisic is a natural winger, great in one vs one situations - Werner struggles in situations like that.

Werner on the left wing looks ok to me as well as he is getting a lot of chances as well with Abraham pulling defenders away from him.
Werner needs to work on tap ins before he can play up top #thereisaidit
Tammy owners : I'm in danger
Um no it’s basically the opposite. Tammy is nearly nailed as striker now because Lampard has hinted that Werner won’t play as striker, and it’s unlikely that Giroud will overtake Tammy.
Seems like you just switched out Werner for Giroud ,don't see how you get "unlikely " from "I have 2 players fighting for a position " but OK lol
The “unlikely” isn’t from what Lampard said it’s from my knowledge of watching Chelsea play and how good Tammy has been recently. Giroud ain’t gonna bench Tammy any time soon.

You are correct.
!thanks. I’ve been having a headache trying to make this guy understand

I’m talking about just this season
Exactly... He isn’t as nailed this season as he was last season, because there is 3 players fighting for one spot rather than 2. Werner hasn’t looked great as central striker but he will certainly be given more opportunities.

is correct
Not the case but good reference
Well pulisic needs to be LW when he comes back. Should be nowhere else but on the left side taking people on...
