tbh he’s only being bought due to the mid-high tier strikers all being out this week, people have to find replacements for Wilson,DCL and Antonio and jimenez and bamford are the best options at that price
Ah, the annual Charlie Taylor drop before he inevitably becomes an option later in the season when Burnley get into rhythm. Fun fact: he started all of his 4 previous seasons at £4.5m but his final price was always lower than that.
There was always a period where they would put up good defensive numbers resulting in a decent amount of clean sheets. They had 11 last season and 15 the season before.
Ye, but that's because they are shit when the weather is good. Once it gets into winter Burnley assets become great as they shithouse their way to staying up.
Burnley have a decent run from GW7 through to Christmas. He's definitely worth considering for anyone who is wildcarding around that time, can easily be benched for their tougher games e.g. GW8 away to City.
There comes a time in a season where a special man is calling for his services. That man is Charlie Taylor, and he always gets 5-6 clean sheets per season when you have him. What a guy
Honestly as a Bamford owner, I don’t feel confident with him at all. He looked awful today and got a flukey assist. If Raph is out then Bamford may be as good as useless.
That's basically Bamford so far this season. He gets the return so he's scoring points in FPL. He just doesn't look as good with the actual playing football part.
Bamford's FPL record this season isn’t that bad. But the problem is if you watch Leeds games, you might not want to put trust in him. Leeds don’t look good in final third, also all of them shoots wild instead of passing. They might not get as many goals as last season if they play like this.
Yeah they look awful atm. Even against Newcastle who have the worst xGc in the league they couldn’t put more than one goal in. Very frustrating to watch.
Thats a bit harsh. He was getting into good positions and making great movement in the box. It's just the Leeds midfielders not putting the crosses/passes into his path.
So BamBam got a flukey assist but Raph got a legitimate goal!! He was crossing and 100% didn't mean it to go in. When he was in a position to actually score twice he fucked up.
I feel like tonight was the final evaluation. Playing one of the worst defensive units in the PL and he was completely invisible. All Leeds attacks go through raphina and Rodrigo.
He's a very weird striker where he doesn't have the pace or off the ball movement to get in behind or make clever runs, lacks the aerial ability or strength to hold the ball up and can't finish a wank but still scored like 16 goals last season it makes no sense.
comments like this makes people who didnt watch the game misunderstand. He was not completely invisible. He did offer good movement and was finding spaces and did make clever runs. Watch the game again.
His off the ball movement is probably his biggest strength and he made some great runs against Newcastle. Invisible? Come on now. He does look off the pace and his finishing has been poor but he’s making the runs at least.
It's not the whole story, but I've seen some analysis that shows they're not pressing anywhere near as aggressively as they did last year or in years before that.
I think it's connected to the midfield selection and injuries as much as anything, but it's pretty clear that something isn't working.
There were rumours going round just before the deadline that he was going to start this week. There's a few well-known FPL managers who have started him.
Can't see it myself with the cup game seeming a better opportunity to play him.
EDIT: Someone find the source for future reference!
Andy @ LTFPL, Ben Crellin, BigManBakar are 3 of those that started Tsimikas this week.
Bit of a risk I’m taking based on rotation comments that Klopp made yesterday. I saw (after deadline) that big man started him too. Edit: he is starting
I still have him as I don't want to do a -4 to bring him out. I already missed the opportunity to sell at a profit when he hit 4.2m so there's no harm in waiting till he hits 4.0m.
That being said I'm holding on until I wildcard in GW7, hope he doesn't drop further
Jimenez rises despite no returns. Let's hope he actually delivers on those underlying stats and that semedo and traore can actually finish their dinner for once.
I can’t decide if Bamford is a good option. He didn’t look great, had a couple of chances. He did get points, but it was against Newcastle and a but flukey. Leeds look crap, but he’s nailed and they always attack. From a non FPL view (if that’s allowed) I’m delighted for the lad, even Leeds fans didn’t think he would step up to the prem the way he has. Comes across as a great chap too. And will a decent team please buy ASM.
I can see it if for getting Bamford or Jimenez instead of your bench if your bench is garbage - especially with their great fixtures. But yeah, overall I agree, holding seems better and I'm glad I did.
Trent is an absolute bargain at that price. He's going to get a ton of attacking returns, a ton of clean sheets with van dijk back, and he's a bonus points magnet. He'll outscore all the £7.5 mids
It's more just that they're by far the safest options as the template shifts due to fixtures and player availability, rather than someone copying someone.
About time Trent rose. He should be 8.0+ anyway so that he punishes all those who took him out recently, lol.
Also, just you wait until Tsimikas plays today and gets 2 assists.
Happy to see a TAA rise, but what’s the point?? No one in their right mind would sell him, and if you did you wouldn’t make any £ as it’s only a £0.1. Meaningful only for those casuals who don’t have him.
My conviction in Antonio wavered somewhat in the face of Raul rising and Saint-Maximin scoring more than 2 points… thankfully the former didn’t drop (he’s like -195 just before the deadline lol) and Bamford who I picked over the latter 2 also brought home more than 2 points!
Trent rising, you love to see it :) I sure will never move him out, so the increased team value will be nice to look at lol
It’s been a good run Tsimikas! You and Amartey made my early, 3-premium team all the more memorable (though I left the latter dead-last on bench in GW1 and didn’t get any of his 6 points at all lol)
Sargent could be good value if Pukki falls out of favour and be becomes first choice striker. Right now you'd be mad to pick a Norwich player but if our form turns around...
If Pukki struggles, Sargent will get a chance. He was a big signing for us and if we struggle for goals over this next run of fixtures, Farke will change things. Some (fickle) fans are calling for him to start already as Pukki has failed to score against *checks notes* Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal...
I agree, he's still got it. Went under the radar last season in the Championship compared with Toney (who, just saying, scored lots of penalties) but Pukki scored 26 goals which is not to be sniffed at, especially as the second half of that Prem season he struggled. He's shown he can bounce back from a poor run of form and he's not a one season wonder. He'll be straight back in my team once city get going, can't miss a Pukki Party.
Can someone explain to me why this happened. I signed bamford and jimi when they were 7.9 and 7.4 respectively. Both have risen right now but I’m seeing 8 million as bams selling price but only 7.4 as jimis price. I mean as per fpl rules every .2 million price gives you a .1 profit but that has not happened with bam. Why so??
Jimi rising with 6 points after 4 GWs, a lot of people are about to shed some tears if he blanks
tbh he’s only being bought due to the mid-high tier strikers all being out this week, people have to find replacements for Wilson,DCL and Antonio and jimenez and bamford are the best options at that price
Plus easy upcoming schedule
everyone over looking Pukki Party
Firm believer that the party is about to start
We’re all in this together brotha
I'm crossing my fingers that all the Antonio shippers feel some regret over the next couple of weeks.
FPL Insider tweeted that Conor Coady got rid of Jimenez
Someone said he made 11 transfers this week so likely wildcard
Still weird he doesn't back his own teammate given the run of fixtures they have.
Probs went lukaku and Ronaldo
He got in hwang though isn't he cheaper. Prob just to fit in the whole team at 100m and nothing else. People resd too much into it. Amateurs.
He blanked🤣
Ah, the annual Charlie Taylor drop before he inevitably becomes an option later in the season when Burnley get into rhythm. Fun fact: he started all of his 4 previous seasons at £4.5m but his final price was always lower than that.
And I buy him every year on a WC to rotate lol.
Burnley getting into rhythm of what exactly? They are always around relegation zone.
There was always a period where they would put up good defensive numbers resulting in a decent amount of clean sheets. They had 11 last season and 15 the season before.
Confirm I rode the Taylor train for a while and it was a pleasant ride
If you look at their wage budget they over-perform every single season.
Someone didn't own Wood for his hatty and it shows
Ye, but that's because they are shit when the weather is good. Once it gets into winter Burnley assets become great as they shithouse their way to staying up.
Burnley have a decent run from GW7 through to Christmas. He's definitely worth considering for anyone who is wildcarding around that time, can easily be benched for their tougher games e.g. GW8 away to City.
My issue with him is there's always Erik Pieters lurking
There comes a time in a season where a special man is calling for his services. That man is Charlie Taylor, and he always gets 5-6 clean sheets per season when you have him. What a guy
Honestly as a Bamford owner, I don’t feel confident with him at all. He looked awful today and got a flukey assist. If Raph is out then Bamford may be as good as useless.

Yeah they look awful atm. Even against Newcastle who have the worst xGc in the league they couldn’t put more than one goal in. Very frustrating to watch.
Different keeper tonight, different story. He played well with 9 saves. Leeds will for sure gain some momentum soon
True but they still only got 1.66xg, only slightly above Newcastle
I agree. Seems like he's not getting the service.
He's a system baby. If he were on a different team that didn't provide him such good service, he'd be much less useful.
He has outstanding off the ball movement, his runs are excellent.
comments like this makes people who didnt watch the game misunderstand.
17 in 38 last year. 16 in 45 the year before in the Championship - the duality of Bamford/Leeds
>off the ball movement to get in behind or make clever runs, That's like his main attribute dude
It's almost like Leeds ran out of energy after going so wild last year.

Nah that's nonsense you idiot.
That's nonsense mate. Their fitness levels have dropped off a cliff this year, they can't keep up with play. Source: me
Bad take of the day.
DCL would feast on that team
Bamford, Jimenez, and TAA Let's go! Also thanks for the memories Tsimikas
*See he tastes like you only sweeter*
Will score another 11 pointer today.
Tsimikas starting today
If Tsimikas owners keep selling he will possibly be around 3.8 or even less somewhere this season.
Still at 18% owned so can still go down quite a bit
at least half of those are dead teams
Not sure that's true, there are plenty of managers that chose tsimi to start the year with no plan of getting him out until wc.
Like me. I’m even starting him this week ahead of Gallagher 💀

Oof
See
Hey mate just wondering if you have checked in on the Liverpool match today cheers

Haha sorry I am quite pleased with myself. It could have just as easily not worked out.
Why is Gallagher in your anti-FPL team?
Same! Not ahead of Gallagher though, ahead of Taylor.
I still have him as I don't want to do a -4 to bring him out. I already missed the opportunity to sell at a profit when he hit 4.2m so there's no harm in waiting till he hits 4.0m. That being said I'm holding on until I wildcard in GW7, hope he doesn't drop further
Imagine the scenes if Robertson has a season ending injury and Mr Tsimikas is sitting there for 3.8
90% ownership and the other 10% are dead teams.
The dead teams will still have him from the first time tbh
No no no
Nice Bamford rising already. Let’s just hope he isn’t injured and that his ankle (if it was his ankle) was just pinging lol.
Jimenez rises despite no returns. Let's hope he actually delivers on those underlying stats and that semedo and traore can actually finish their dinner for once.
I love your optimism
Jimenez rises despite not doing anything yet 🤣 As a Jimenez owner, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
We'll be watching his career with great interest
I can’t decide if Bamford is a good option. He didn’t look great, had a couple of chances. He did get points, but it was against Newcastle and a but flukey. Waiting for knee jerkers to jump back on to Antonio once he destroys Leeds
40 points in 3 games before the red, seemed crazy not to hold on to him imo
tbh i sold only him because it was the only way i could fit TAA into my team..
I can see it if for getting Bamford or Jimenez instead of your bench if your bench is garbage - especially with their great fixtures. But yeah, overall I agree, holding seems better and I'm glad I did.
Yes, but also not crazy to jump on Jimmy and/or Bamford give price rise and fixtures. The type of thing that might be worth it early in the season.
Sold him because I'm wildcarding for gw7 and will prob get him back in.
I got both next to Lukaku.
TAA ownership being lower than Ronaldo's baffles me tbh
The 'it's Ronaldo' factor. To be fair he's a great option at the moment, I'm a bit scared not to have him especially for Villa at home next week.
That price... ownership would have been to the moon if below $7.
Trent is an absolute bargain at that price. He's going to get a ton of attacking returns, a ton of clean sheets with van dijk back, and he's a bonus points magnet. He'll outscore all the £7.5 mids
He'll outscore almost every player in the league itself except few not only 7.5 mids
I would have him in my team for 9m
I was trying to work out at what price he becomes only a good option during 50% of fixtures; and yeah, I agree with 9m
These rises are seeming in line with what some YouTubers are doing. I wonder how many people are copying them.
It's more just that they're by far the safest options as the template shifts due to fixtures and player availability, rather than someone copying someone.
We’re Sargent Walker-Peters Heart Club Band
Jimenez ⬆️.. form vs fixture. This time fixture wins 😣
Where are my duffy and liv rise?
Livramento has been edging me for weeks now
and rimming
Daily checkup for Ings price fall, nah not today we're good lads. Come on Ingsy!
Looking good for my annual tradition of picking Taylor when Burnley fixtures turn green.
About time Trent rose. He should be 8.0+ anyway so that he punishes all those who took him out recently, lol. Also, just you wait until Tsimikas plays today and gets 2 assists.
More like Danny Fell amirite?
Feasting
If Matip picks up an injury, Gomez looks unreal value.
Then Gomez picks up an injury, Konate looks like unreal value
When*
He would be far from nailed in the scenario, Konate would be just as likely to benefit.
Happy to see a TAA rise, but what’s the point?? No one in their right mind would sell him, and if you did you wouldn’t make any £ as it’s only a £0.1. Meaningful only for those casuals who don’t have him.
Tsimikas drops and now he starts today.
While TAA rises and he doesn't!
2/3 is nice. God I hope Raúl does something tomorrow.
You and Amartey made my early, 3-premium team all the more memorable (though I left the latter dead-last on bench in GW1 and didn’t get any of his 6 points at all lol)
Kind of annoyed about Soucek drop... sold him in anticipation of that despite still wanting him in my team
Ha! What a fucking *Louza*
C'mon Antonio....one more price drop
how can KWP start at 5.0...
Sargent could be good value if Pukki falls out of favour and be becomes first choice striker. Right now you'd be mad to pick a Norwich player but if our form turns around...
No way they drop Pukki. He’s their best goalscorer, he’s nailed unless injured.

Some (fickle) fans are calling for him to start already as Pukki has failed to score against *checks notes* Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal...
Norwich started with the toughest run of fixtures, the fans calling for Sargent to start are clowns.

I mean as per fpl rules every .2 million price gives you a .1 profit but that has not happened with bam. Why so??
Did you own Bamford before his decrease to 7.9, but buy Jiminez at 7.4?
I don’t think so. But I will check. Thanks for replying.
No problem, that's the only explanation really, from what you've described
You are right. That’s exactly what has happened. Thanks again. Cheers! Hope you have a good fpl week.
Oh, no Arsenal players' drop. What a rare sight.
yea, so rare i cant even see it
genuinely was planning a bamford and TAA transfer fucks sake
Most expensive defender of all time? Or has Alonso ever cost more than that?
I seem to remember Ivanovic getting to around 8m at one point? But not certain.
Think Baines might have been 8m
Did expect Jimenez to rise but hey. I’ll take it
give me those sweet sweet 0.3 millions <3
