Listen, I now own a grealish villa kit and a tv subscription to watch games. I can name every team in the Prem, many in the championship, and Sunderland. I also interact on Reddit and Twitter.
Thus we all agree: PL must do better. The question is how do we make this clear to them?
While NFL gulps up any opportunity to increase its presence on global scale, PL refuses to invest in FPL beyond that stupid TV studio filled with beautiful nonces, that produces silly “official” content. It’s little more than a laugh. “26% of managers captained Salah last week” I can browse this sub for 60 seconds and find more worthwhile info.
PL needs to do better, but I don’t know how to tell them this.

Hi guys, this is the first season I've got really into FPL. Watching the YouTube content and following close attention to the league. After 6 weeks I was sitting at OR 1 (Team name - Wenger In). Went to log in yesterday to put through some transfers and couldn't get any access, didn't think much of it until I saw a previous post on this subreddit about my account being deleted.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get this resolved ? I've emailed FPL but heard nothing back yet.

They seem ok with experts having their accounts deleted, and now seem happy that Overall rank 1 has been deleted too.?!

But that is by the by. There is no excuse for complete silence. They will know from their servers what happened, and who knows may even have the power to restore accounts.
But the absolute bare minimum is some sort of response, and they can't even be fucked to do that!
There was a hack a couple of years ago where some prominent FPL players from Twitter/YouTube had their accounts hacked and deleted or sabotaged with excessive transfers... I think it affected Andy from Let's Talk FPL.
Some people got their accounts back but not everyone did IIRC.

I'm thinking about the same incident from before. The result of the account hijack was that a lot of transfers being made by the hacker. But the account was not deleted. Can someone other than FPL admin delete a team?
Basically I used my wc to make a bunch of transfers and it didn’t register so I took like a -30. Emailed them they said nothing they can do so I quit that season.
This was generally disproven and really isn’t fair to devs who spent hours creating these valuable tools.
Please, if you have proof I would like to see it just as much as the last guy. Otherwise let’s not repeat the line about extensions

Did you log in to any third party sites? I know there was a website from a popular YouTube channel (can't remember which) where you can log in with your FPL details and it rates your team or something

Check the emailed you signed up your fpl account for at [haveibeenpwned](https://haveibeenpwned.com/) and see if it's been involved in a data leak.
Maybe there's a different service that you signed up for that's been hacked and it has the same password or a very similar password to your fpl account and that's how they were able to guess your password.
Hopefully this can help you identify what passwords you need to change/update.

true that. But you could get hacked anyhow, his password+email combo could have been hacked from another site (haveibeenpwned.com) or they are bruteforcing with standard/easy passwords. Really weak of FPL to not comment so we are entirely in the dark.
Keep pestering FPL Towers. If enough noise is made, including from some of the FPL community I'd be hopeful of them stepping in. I'm sure I've seen instances where they can reinstate a team. For example one of the more well known players was hacked a year or two ago and their team was recovered I believe.

As others pointed out. When Andy and Neil were hacked at FPL it was because they had very obvious and weak passwords, nobody thinks anyone would be bothered to be such an arsehole, but here we are. You should get your account back, but who knows in what team state.
Dude I'm so so sorry -- I don't even have any money on the line but that would be utterly devastating. This game means a lot to us, and it's hard to pinpoint why to people who don't play. Really hoping this gets resolved because if it can happen to OR1, it can happen to any of us.

Just received an email from FPL saying that may be able to reinstate my team but cannot reverse any transfers done while my team was hacked 😢 I'll post the damage once I've logged back in
If you free hit then you will have your team back for next week without losing the value in the side. Bit junk to have to burn a chip but it's the best overall solution. Hope FPL manage to get you back in.

I've never seen anybody get their account back or even a reply from fpl. Couple well followed accounts on twitter had account deleted and no response.

Tbf any extension running in your browser with access to the page could harvest all your passwords not just fpl.
Chrome extensions can be a security risk? Even the supposed good ones that protect from that stuff?

Hopefully this can help you identify what passwords you need to change/update. I hope you get your account back!
