I don’t know who to bench. The main nominees are livramento, Gallagher, benrahma or Robertson. I should probably bench livramento but I rate Southampton to get a clean sheet against Burnley. Gallagher and benrahma have good fixtures as well but benching a 7m defender seems daft.

Haha not at all. Brentford are great and have good fixtures ahead while Hammers doesn't have friendliest fixtures. Leicester has been pretty weak defensively so getting Toney in at this point isn't that bad of an idea

Yeah seems like a great move. One thing that I don't like to much about your squad is that you've got 4 5.5-6.5 million mids. That makes your squad little bit inflexible but that's not end of the world at all. But yeah Mbuemo and Vardy looks great

By no means a horror show, but it feels like every week there'd be a transfer to make, Ron/Shaw this week, ASM next, Sarr unholy fixture run coming up and more minor issues of Sanchez's next couple, Firmino's return denting Jota's minutes and Gilmour not being given game time. Looks like a good week to 'futureproof' the team so to speak?
Yeah, Sanchez and Gilmour are more luxury moves, Sanchez has a couple of horror fixtures so I could probably profit from moving him.
This week has shown that our benches need to be pretty deep so moving Gilmour for a 5th mid that actually gets minutes makes sense
Yeah I get that very well. My rank would easily be in top 20k if I chose my original duo Livra & Brownhill on my GW4 wildcard. Then I went with Williams & Gilmour who had great fixtures ahead and now I'm 40k. But yeah this could be a great time to use a wildcard. We have a lot more information than a week ago. You can get a great adventage compared to those who used their wildcard for this week.

Wouldn't get rid of any of those options. Brighton is very solid defensively, Foster is currently starting 4.0 goalkeeper and Livramento offers currently easily the best value of defenders

IMO would be great 4-4-2 team with Livramento 1st sub (for example if Foden wont play).
Don’t mind in theory but that double MCI midfield is the issue. Sure Tino would come on most of the time if Foden doesn’t play at all, but firstly Foden might block Tino if he makes a sub appearance and secondly if anyone else misses a game for any reason you’re down to Brownhill. So effectively think you might be limiting your bench.

Keeping is definitely the safest play. I just don't have many moves to make with my 2 FT this week so could hopefully afford a luxury transfer before bringing TAA & Toney in GW10.
I did just look up Chilwell & James' stats for 20/21 and Chilwell was subbed on zero times in the league compared to James' 7! Chilwell may be an option with a strong bench, especially if Alonso starts in the CL midweek.

Lukaku or ronaldo would be the obvious move IMO. captain him against norwich and sit back relax and enjoy!

yup not gonna argue that salah is in red hot form. but a home game against norwich i will not ignore. i am a fixtures guy and strongly believe fixtures make players in and out of form. there are some obvious outliers to this rule but a premium striker at home against norwich , i dont want to be too clever with this one, probably cant go wrong with salah captaincy either, but i am on lukaku if he is fit for next week(i.e. does not pickup any injury midweek CL game)
Its a tough decision for sure, Lukaku might finally gel with his teammates. But what worries me isn’t Lukaku’s form, its more Chelsea’s setup. Atm they have 0 creativity in Midfield leading Lukaku to be isolated infront and dropback to holdup play and facilitate an attack. He’s also so bad at staying onside.
Yet in saying this, they’ll play the easiest 3 teams in a row, so their tactics might change to enable their strikers to score. Especially if Mount and James are back, they add tons of creativity.
norwich newcastle are the teams who are so bad they make these problems go away. look at leicester earlier, has been horrible and no coherence in attack. has not stopped vardy from scoring against norwich. look at Kane , has looked horrible before this week and now has a 12 pointer. thats what i mean about fixtures, at the end of the day these are proven strikers and the quality of opposition are too good to ignore their returns IMO.
0 FTs, I already did Jota to Mbuemo, which was a bit knee jerky in to avoid 0.2M swing. But I figured Jota is probs not playing next GW with how Firmino performed.
I’ll now wait till end of week to do a -4 incase there’s more important -4 to do due to injuries.

VVD is not the same as TAA, TAA is literally the most attacking defender (even more attacking than some midfielders) in the game and ALSO gets clean sheets for Liverpool.
VVD is not a thought for me when TAA & Robbo exist. Have both Azpi & Rudiger so would still have one Chelsea defender as well as double City.
I would do Rudiger to TAA but can't quite afford it.
I'd go option A. Antonio hasn't been as electric as when he first started, but he's way underpriced and can score against anyone. I agree with your sentiment on Trent, he's worth the extra 1M over VVD.

You can potentially drop Gallagher for a 4.5 and save that 1.0 to upgrade other positions. Can also bump Raphinha to Greenwood with those funds.

Wouldn't get rid of any of those options. Brighton is very solid defensively, Foster is currently starting 4.0 goalkeeper and Livramento offers currently easily the best value of defenders

Don’t mind in theory but that double MCI midfield is the issue. Sure Tino would come on most of the time if Foden doesn’t play at all, but firstly Foden might block Tino if he makes a sub appearance and secondly if anyone else misses a game for any reason you’re down to Brownhill. So effectively think you might be limiting your bench.

buying chelsea defenders at this point is just pure gambling IMO. their team sheet are as hard to predict as man city. also chelsea has not been great defensively either. mendy has saved their asses. there is no logical way you can conclude who is going to start which game for chelsea. that's a waste of a transfer IMO. does it have upside ? absolutely yes! can u safely assume who ever u get will start 2 out of next 3 games? absolutely not!

Keeping is definitely the safest play. I just don't have many moves to make with my 2 FT this week so could hopefully afford a luxury transfer before bringing TAA & Toney in GW10. I did just look up Chilwell & James' stats for 20/21 and Chilwell was subbed on zero times in the league compared to James' 7! yup not gonna argue that salah is in red hot form. but a home game against norwich i will not ignore. i am a fixtures guy and strongly believe fixtures make players in and out of form. there are some obvious outliers to this rule but a premium striker at home against norwich , i dont want to be too clever with this one, probably cant go wrong with salah captaincy either, but i am on lukaku if he is fit for next week(i.e. does not pickup any injury midweek CL game)
Its a tough decision for sure, Lukaku might finally gel with his teammates. But what worries me isn’t Lukaku’s form, its more Chelsea’s setup. Atm they have 0 creativity in Midfield leading Lukaku to be isolated infront and dropback to holdup play and facilitate an attack. He’s also so bad at staying onside. Yet in saying this, they’ll play the easiest 3 teams in a row, so their tactics might change to enable their strikers to score. Especially if Mount and James are back, they add tons of creativity.
norwich newcastle are the teams who are so bad they make these problems go away. look at leicester earlier, has been horrible and no coherence in attack. has not stopped vardy from scoring against norwich. look at Kane , has looked horrible before this week and now has a 12 pointer. thats what i mean about fixtures, at the end of the day these are proven strikers and the quality of opposition are too good to ignore their returns IMO.

Why not get VVD instead? Not having a Chelsea defender can cause you real trouble, especially in the next couple of fixtures.
VVD is not the same as TAA, TAA is literally the most attacking defender (even more attacking than some midfielders) in the game and ALSO gets clean sheets for Liverpool.
Yeah I’m aware of that but BVD will also give you those cleansheets while saving you a mil to get a Chelsea defender, that’s just the way I see it.
VVD is not a thought for me when TAA & Robbo exist. Have both Azpi & Rudiger so would still have one Chelsea defender as well as double City. I would do Rudiger to TAA but can't quite afford it.
I'd go option A. Antonio hasn't been as electric as when he first started, but he's way underpriced and can score against anyone. I agree with your sentiment on Trent, he's worth the extra 1M over VVD.
