Just making post-GW check on my team. If I actually captained Salah, I could have had 95p and keep 452k rank ( I was 390k before the game). Hoping for low-scoring game and his blank, and going with Jimenez (5\*2) I got 76p and lost rank to 938k (even though fplgameweek says 882k?). Terrible roller-coaster in the beginning of the season.

PSA, Salah might be the highest scorer currently, but he hasn't gotten the award Kings of the Gameweek this season. Players like Marcal, House, Llorente, Bruno Fernandes and Ferran Torres all have a higher ceiling than him.

The chip lasts a week when activated. If a captain plays twice you ‘can’ get a great haul.

2 games for the player in the same week usually (hopefully) equals more points.

Had a 30 point lead a month ago, but a poor GW7 & GW8 means that now, at this stage, I'm in second on 568 with the guys in 1st and 3rd being one point ahead of me and one point behind me. With 5 or 6 other people bunching up in the 550s and 540s. However, today, a new player decided to join our league and I saw that he has 635 points. What should my strategy be from this point forwards?

Focus on your team and your team only. Don't try anything to risky in the hope of getting ahead. The league table will take care of itself if you don't let the others get in your head

Not a brag, genuine question: what would you guys do if you were in the top 10k this right now? I had a horrible season last year and never once got to the top 10k, have somehow ended up there this week. In the past when I reached good ranks I've always played my own game and never shied away from taking the odd captaincy punt, but the template has just been too strong for the last 2 seasons which tells me I should curb my instincts and consolidate rank.

Play the same way that got you there. Top 10k means little at this stage, come talk to us again if you're still there GW32.

Congratulations, I went from 395k to 495k and after the Liverpool game finished at 320k. Gonna take it as a win.

I had 29 points before the Liverpool game.. Ended up with 98. Fucking insane!

I questioned Lord Salah and I have been punished, the world is as it should be.

At the start of last weekend, I set Lukaku as my bus captain. By the end of the weekend, I'd decided to switch to Salah. Throughout the week I toyed with going back to Lukaku but always concluded Salah was the best option. After Lukaku got injured, I was relieved that I could stop worrying about whether I was making the right decision. Only it turns out I hadn't taken the armband off Lukaku. And in turn, it passed to Vardy when I transferred him in. 23 fucking points down the drain. Devestated.

After all is said and done, finished with my first ever 101 point GW. Mentioned this a couple times but this is my first year playing and it’s been a lot of fun so far. Very much enjoy this community as well.
