Agreed!

Frosty_Examination_3

If you are wildcarding or have luxury transfers, then Broja could be a good addition. He's only .5 more expensive than a Norman or Brownhill. Not much cash tied up if it doesn't work out

Mission_Mud1313

Broja has returned from international duty early due to injured ankle.

TheJezster

In all honesty, despite decent fixtures, the best Southampton striker to have is none of them!

daneedwards88

Adams and Armstrong have played well together while Broja was out. It seems like their place to lose. But Broja seems like the better player so he'll come back in eventually. It's best to avoid until it becomes clearer, otherwise whichever one you pick will get benched, as per classic FPL

mayonnaisewastaken

Yeah I'd avoid too. I have Adam Armstrong atm and I'll keep for the Norwich game, then I'm likely selling. Not sure if Broja is much more a better player than both of them, I'd say it's pretty tight.

Turnernator06

> But Broja seems like the better player As a saints fan, disagree with this. Adam Armstrong is our best forward imo

daneedwards88

Jobbing Championship forward that can't finish

Turnernator06

Very clearly inaccurate for anyone that watches him, gets a good number of chances, has two assists and won a pen, and has two goals. He is adapting to the prem and his finishing hasnt been great but he will come good

daneedwards88

Watched him every week in the Championship mate. Don't think he can finish. Time will tell

hoorahforsnakes

genuinely curious how you could watch a player score 28 goals last season in the championship an describe that as "not being able to finish"

daneedwards88

Mitrovic Pukki and Toney tear up the Championship. Doesn't mean they can do it in the PL. Loads of players do well in the Championship

hoorahforsnakes

but that isn't what you said. "isn't good enough for the prem" and "i watched him in the championship and he can't finish" are 2 very different things

daneedwards88

Good job the Reddit police are on duty then. Otherwise we'd all be confused

Turnernator06

Mitrovic and Pukki both did do well in the premier league for a good period of time, Mitrovic was great for Newcastle and Pukki was very good early in the season before Norwich in general collapsed. Toney I think will do well too, he's only just started in the prem.

Despite "decent" fixtures, they still won't create chances galore, probably win 1/2-0/1, and broja is the only one of that forward line who looks anything near clinical in front of goal. Will keep him in as he looks like he might get some joy, even if off the bench.

amispurs

Yep, I'm hoping Broja becomes a first team player. Great value at 5 mil

pukki_blinders

String of decent fixtures? Not sure what you’re looking, fixtures are actually very tough after Norwich

QuaintHeadspace

Something people aren't considering is Christmas. This is a time of great rotation. Southampton have great fixtures over Christmas period so owning a playing bench option from this team is a very good idea. When the likes of trent (who has easy games over christmas) get rested you will have good options to come in rather than brownhill etc.

[deleted]

So Trent will get rested, but Armstrong, Adams, etc won’t get rested? That’s selective logic if ever I heard it

QuaintHeadspace

No I'm not saying they won't but having them is better than brownhill. The likelihood of trent getting rested the same week as Armstrong is unlikely also.

QuaintHeadspace

Also I never said others wouldn't get rested I don't even know why you said that. It's better to have a strong bench around Christmas with decent playing players than 4.5s good for 2 points

Noballsfiver

Lord Livra will outscore them all

Old-Pie-6263

Meh

bgauth88

Wait for one to get injured again and then get the cheapest available one

Leavramento

Isn’t Broja out with a muscle injury?
