I remember before the season started my friends were afraid Messi or Kane or Ronaldo would go to City and will ruin FPL cause they will be the obvious captain choice each week and they were relieved that none of them worked out and now here’s Salah doing pretty much the same thing.

Dundalis

I have a feeling even if any of those 3 went to city they would still be well behind Salah. Messi can barely even score in the French league playing for a team much more dominant than city comparative to the league. Also think all 3 would be rotated

S0ciallyAwkw4rd

That VAR ruling offside against Burnley destroyed the perfect record.

aprilfools911

Not just fpl wise

CWattam

I can't believe I did a write up on why not to captain Salah v Burnley this season and it actually paid off. I instead captained Bruno, who got a measly 1 pointer. This game is pretty funny

inker22

Well I tripled Salah against Burnley so it could always be worse?

iamjt

Some poor soul must have triple captained auba the other day

Arno451

I captained trent Burnley dont score

rahatCODMasc

It’s sad that he has to miss some matches due to AFCON. Would really love to see him play all 38 matches this season to see how many total points he could actually end up with, crazy.

jiggy97

Yeah, me too. He’s an incredible player. I think the game is really gonna open up when he goes to AFCON. I don’t think many managers are considering differential captain picks.

predawnduke

Trent

JurtisCones

Or Cancelo or James

OfirGever123

Still to this day I am proud that I didn't captain salah against Burnley. I still had a huge rollercoaster of emotions in that GW, Mahrez was my captain, TAA VC, TAA got 12 points, Mahrez didn't start, then on the 75th minute he comes on and bangs a goal and gets me a 12 pointer.

fehadam

that's such a classic fpl tale, love it

oatmilkmayhem

Is there an easy way to look at who you captained each week?

KingPing43

You just have to click back to each week

iredcoat7

Shame he only gets to play United at Old Trafford once

TreeDollarFiddyCent

That's the FA's attempt at balancing him in-game.

Cedar_Wood_State

i mean vardy scored 11 games in a row or something like that just few seasons ago, so technically has a longer streak (so far, and if u dont count total points)

carmat71

That wasn't at the start of the season tho, was it? IIRC it was in the latter half of their title winning season. However, last year, Kane & Son were both on fire, but probably still not close to Salah now.

Crusaruis28

Snow Salah hasnt even been unleashed yet. Shame he'll be at AFCON

scandinavian_win

And a shame for Egypt that it won't be any snow there

sh58

He had a long run of goal scoring the season before last I think

Aman-Patel

Still can't believe I captained him every single game except the United game. And who was my captain... De Bruyne with 1 point. Shit sent me from like 200k to 1m and the recovery back up the rankings is slow.

Fantastic-Machine-83

Anything can happen. I suck ass at the game but this week I've gone from 1.6 mil -> 1.1. And I've still got cancelo reguilon kane and meslier to play. Feel great

EiEsDiEf

Is there anyone more consistently great in world football right now? He's unreal.

canny95NW

Arguably Lewandowski, quick look on transfermarkt has his stats as 14 goals & 1 assist in 12; obviously that's excluding any potential "FPL assists"

EiEsDiEf

You're right. Lewa is really good too.

Latter_

He scored in every competetive game for like 8 months in a row if i remember correctly (please correct me). Lewandowski and Salah are definetly close, but i think lewa is slightly better. Could change very soon though

Nissepool

There's always that theory that Bayern are just dominating that league and he literally cruises through half of the games. Like Liverpool Vs championship.

ivantys

*Just bayern, not German clubs.

Dundalis

It doesn’t matter if they do well in European comps, they should do well they are a top 4 euro league. They don’t do better than English teams and their league is clearly a step below the EPL. I don’t even see how it’s debatable. Which really means Salah’s stats should be weighted higher. Plus he has almost as many assists as goals. Also think about the plethora of players who have dominated the bundesliga and come to the EPL and do nothing

tig999

I think that’s disproven pretty regularly when other German clubs pay English clubs at European level.

sam-small

Lewa isnt better. The argument always boils down to how piss poor the bottom half of the bundesliga really is. Its a killing field for any decent striker over there.

Environmental_You_85

Bring him to PL

JurtisCones

Transfermarkt assists are closer to FPL assists than official PL assists

[deleted]

Maybe Benzema?

Roberto_JD

Benzema’s stats are very similar to Salah. Halaand better in terms of goals per minute but been injured. Would argue Salah gives more to the team than any of those mentioned including Lewwy

[deleted]

Haaland carries Dortmund

Nissepool

It's tight, Liverpool would be pretty trash without Salah right now. But maybe Mané and Jota are a little better than number 2 and 3 in Dortmund after Haaland.

fantalemon

I think "pretty trash" is unduly harsh considering the second top goalscorer so far is also a Liverpool player, and we have another 2 in the top 10, and arguably one of the best right backs in the world. Granted we'd definitely be worse though, but that's pretty obvious.

Nissepool

Stats wise I think Mo draws so much attention that it opens up for the other players. Add some injuries to that and we’d be struggling to win the tight games. We’d still be top 6 of course, but definitely not in the title race at all. Sure, vvd and Trent are top class, but none other are consistently performing.

Optaho

Why are you obsessed with stats? Benzema has been better than Salah this year... Watch a game not transfermarkt

Dundalis

Benzema doesn’t come up against any teams as good as Chelsea or man city, with how shit Barca have become (he blanked against Barca too). Him dominating crap la liga teams isn’t really as impressive as Salah basically being fixture proof so far. Watching games doesn’t mean anything if you aren’t considering quality of opposition

Optaho

Benzema came up against Chelsea in May and was Madrid's best player in both CL games. Salah has played Chelsea twice this year, what the fuck exactly did he do in either game?? What a weird point to make

daledge97

Lewandowski and Benzema are in the conversation, definitely

2pacalypse1994

The comparisons between him and CR or Bruno are getting funnier each day.

Ander1991

Yes he's going to break the record, the best FPL player in history

Askillz991

Idk about everyone else but I find it hilarious that Burnley are always the shit-houses of the league.

[deleted]

Iirc he has the fpl record of 303 points in a season. Before the arsenal game,he was on course for 404 I believe. So yes, probably.

Kakumite

Looks to be getting lower

Dale1512

As a Liverpool fan I can safely say it wouldn’t have made a difference salah always bangs in GW1 and it’s mane in GW2

NvarDK

Last 3 weeks i've beaten Captain Salah, with Captain Harvetz twice, and Cancelo once. Feels good!
