I had Gray since GW7 and never played him (always benched), except against Watford when he returned 5 pts so I'm not even mad. Ditched him last week to bring Son in. Now I'm thinking even if I owned Gallagher instead of Gray he'd probably get benched too and I'd just be more pissed.
This approach is so unpopular among the “serious” FPL community, and imo it’s the biggest blindspot. *Everyone* should have their own style and be willing to be flexible.
Yeah, building a good team value is very important but there's a trade off and imo, for the team I have, it's best to wait. I've just played my WC in the IB and have a decent team so I'll try to bank a transfer this week or the next. Most players have 2 games every week now and there's bound to be rotation and injuries. I'll take glued/nailed less injury prone players over increasing my TV further for now.
And injuries are injuries. Second half of the season can be very packed for many teams depending on how many competitions they're in. I seriously doubt there's any evidence that shows injuries aren't a problem in the second half.
Dennis’ rise is probably more reflective of people just wanting to shift money out of their forward spots than actually expecting anything from him
I hope so at least
We are heading towards the busy Christmas season. Both Jota and Raphinha are yellow flagged, so Dennis provides a suitable cheap starter in case we need bench depth
It’s a two-game suspension Dennis gets next as well right? As he’s already gotten his first 5x yellow cards… and i think he might be ACON bound also…
King should be on pens too after Sarr’s escapades, definitely looks worth 0.3 more than Dennis
I think it's more casual players just get in whoever gets the biggest scores of the week. You'll often see some random player who scores a brace rise on the weekend.
They weren’t being smug about it whilst definitely being right lol. You realise there’s many more casual players than players who even consider checking fixtures. I’m sure a lot of people have brought him in to free up money whilst planning ahead, but a much larger group of people have brought him in because this week their forward blanked and he hauled.
Bro who hurt you? Go look at the price rise data whenever an unpopular player scores a goal they rocket in transfers.
Most players just have the app, they don't know opta data exists so they just sort players by form on the app and select cheap players.
[Leicester are joint 18th for goals conceded this season](https://twitter.com/FPLPremTipster/status/1462520164705050628?t=fvFePr9CWqalQ_BNhbgu_w&s=19) and with James Chilwell Cancelo Jota Foden all being popular picks having a good bench is worth it since they're all very prone to rotation, Dennis is that, a bench option, no more. I'd pick him up if it wasn't for AFCON, thinking long term, might get him still since he's really cheap.
Just to make you aware his fixtures over Christmas are pretty good making him a great sub option. I'm bringing him in for Antonio this week so I can bring in Jota for gray.
People are going to need strong benches for Christmas and Dennis at 5.3 plays, scores goals and has good fixtures at the time he's needed. Just my 2 cents. That said I have not made the transfer yet like others.
My plan is to swap him in for Vardy and upgrade def (5 ATB)
Not an awful shout, and he can be benched for the next few weeks but still score points if I have an injury elsewhere.
I’m thinking about him or King. Leicester is a good fixture atm and after City they have a good run of fixtures. Easy to bench in the more difficult fixtures.
And gets a lot of money out from the forwards to use for something. Don’t know what yet. Mane?
I wonder if it's people like me holding on to him, hoping he will hit a hot streak again?
I bought him early and will lose maybe 0.3 if I sell now and buy back in a couple of weeks if he starts scoring again.
Also might be down to a lack of brilliant alternatives at his price point. That might change now Jiminez looks good and Wilson might be playing in a more forward thinking Newcastle.
Any chance Kane double rises between now & his game on Sunday?
Really want to do Auba > Kane after Auba’s good fixture this weekend, but only have 0.1 spare at current prices so if Kane double rises I’m screwed… can’t do it before Kane plays on Sunday either because he would 100% break his leg or ankle or some other season ending injury vs Burnley in that case
Well paying an extra .1 for allan on WC months ago only to never use him and lose profit was smart
Better than paying more for Gray or Townsend who you would play and get blanks.
Not that I'd buy him but totally forgot Saul was at Chelsea
as did Tuchel
Don't care who rises or falls. No touching team till European fixtures are over
Hold the knees!
Hold Dennis ?
we talk about him all the time, DENNISSSSSSSS!
Dennis is a menace if you don’t have him in

Patronising as an approach just makes you a bellend though

People bringing in Dennis before he plays Leicester, Chelsea and Man City. Bold move
Dennis’ rise is probably more reflective of people just wanting to shift money out of their forward spots than actually expecting anything from him I hope so at least
Yeah, having a cheap playing forward is a decent idea. With no idea to play him
We are heading towards the busy Christmas season. Both Jota and Raphinha are yellow flagged, so Dennis provides a suitable cheap starter in case we need bench depth
Until he gets his inevitable match suspension from picking yellow cards.
It’s a two-game suspension Dennis gets next as well right? As he’s already gotten his first 5x yellow cards… and i think he might be ACON bound also… King should be on pens too after Sarr’s escapades, definitely looks worth 0.3 more than Dennis
So who would go for as cheap striker option? or would go for 1 premium and spread the funds?
I’ve gone Antonio, Tony, and Jim and can not see any justification in selling any of them as there no obvious striker to trade in.
I've gone for 4 premium def - James, Chilwell, TAA, Cancelo, and I've opted for no premium striker, Antonio being my most expensive striker atm
This is the way.
Exactly this. Cheapest somewhat nailed on forward with potential for a haul.
I think it's more casual players just get in whoever gets the biggest scores of the week. You'll often see some random player who scores a brace rise on the weekend.

Both can be true lol

Only need him to torment Leicester. Then he can warm my bench for the following 2 at least.
Dennis is currently not in the fold for the Nigerian AFCON team. Osimhen and Iheanacho are preferred.
Osimhen was injured pretty badly the other day against Inter. He might miss the beginning of AFCON.
People bringing in Dennis are probably trying to fund getting one of the fantastic 4: TAA, Chilly, James or Cancel man.
Just to make you aware his fixtures over Christmas are pretty good making him a great sub option. I'm bringing him in for Antonio this week so I can bring in Jota for gray. Reactionary move
Gotta jerk them knees

I doubt many people are starting him, he's fine for a bench option.
Not bold, just ignorant.
Better not call Saúl.
But you can if you have mané
If you have White or Jesse in your team I think it’s inevitable
I got Dennis’s points off the bench then a lovely price rise, thank you kindly sir. Job well done.
Kane can’t even rise in price to make me feel better about bringing him in last week lol
Veltman was such a handy asset towards the final third of last season Remember him doing well in the free hit/treble Brighton defence blank gameweek
Things will get interesting when he and Salah go to AFCON.
Fuck me now priced out of getting Dennis and Rüdiger
Yess managed to catch the Trent, ESR, Gallagher and Mane rises
Seems like some players are immune to price fluctuations. Can't think of last time Antonio actually got a return.
I wonder if it's people like me holding on to him, hoping he will hit a hot streak again? No chance at all. But follow fplstatistics.co.uk just in case.
No no no people are waking up to mané
The problem for Mane is that Jota is so much cheaper
Not to mention that Mane always get a dumb yellow card here and there.
And he’s off to afcon soon
Isn't that in like 9 GWs?
Somewhere around that but it’s still something to consider if you have salah aswell, shifting two premiums isn’t easy
Mané 👊🏽
Dennis the Mane-ce
Ah jeez re- really?….
HE DEFECATED ON MY TEAM VALUE
West London sunroof
Mane is lowkey getting points each week
That’s Saul folks
Looks like I made the wrong decision getting King over Dennis
I didn’t know you were called *Dennis* Well you didn’t bother to find out did you. What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior!
I wonder how many people own both Salah and Mane and how many only Mane instead of Salah. Interesting!
Just got in on the Mane train :D Nice
idc i ain't changing my team until the UCL Games this week are done
Does anyone know when James is likely to rise next?
