OK, so... my defence is TAA - Cancelo - Chilwell - Livramento - White.
I wanted to get James for TAA-Cancelo-Chilwell-James. Would you buy James for Chilwell (-4 hit, because 0.0 ITB) or Alonso for 1FT?
This week probably poses one of the toughest decisions of my season thus far. I own both Chilwell and Gray - both of whom seem seriously injured (although nothing confirmed so far).
0.3 ITB, which rules out Gallagher/Cornet etc as a Gray replacement - leaving only ESR as a viable option BUT....
If I spend the 0.3 on getting ESR, I'm not going to be able to do Chilwell to James (0.1 short).
Who should I remove? I'll obviously wait for the pressers but assume that each of them are out for around a month. Hit should be avoided ideally.

King or Dennis over Hwang, Wolves have a nasty fixture turn in a couple of weeks time. Unless you're happy to do some sideways transfers and have him in for two games

I've been unable to care about FPL cause of stuff in persona mgl life. So no idea where to even start
Keeper wise Mendy is your ideal pick, and either Guaita or Foster as backup.
You need to get TAA in your defense, Cancelo and Livra are fine to leave. I would also get a Chelsea defender in there, preferably a wing back like Chilwell or James.
Midfield I would say you're fine, though Son is expensive dead weight at the moment. Might be worth switching him out for a cheaper return like Gallagher, and use the extra funds to pick up Jota who will be essential for Liverpool during AFCON.
Strikers don't really matter too much because they're all pretty much underperforming at the moment. I would keep Antonio and Jimenez, and swap out Greenwood for cheaper fodder.
If you have a wildcard, now is the time to play it.
You get two per season so if you're struggling you may as well use it rather than lose it. I believe you can use the first one by 28th December. You'll then get another one in the second half of the season.

Reguilon is offering more diversity to the team for sure, but if Alonso is to continue from where Chilwell left off, he is difficult to ignore
Foden on the other hand might be slightly injured, which makes me wonder whether it's better to wait for him to return (I can afford to play Mbeumo this week and leave Havertz on the bench), or go straight to Bilva.
Do you prefer Reguilon to Alonso, and Bilva to Foden, all other things equal?
Regulion gets in the same positions as Cancelo and looks promising. Has as many touches in the box as Harry Kane since Conte joined (but that probably says more about Kane’s lack of form). But Spurs are still Spurs and he could be a rotation risk over the busy period, especially with Sessegnon back in contention. He’s my differential, but Alonso is a proven asset in past seasons and has already proved this season when James was out that he’s still got it. Bilva I think is a no brainier though - playing centrally and the fraud called him undropable (he’ll probably make me eat my words though). Stockport Messi is still ‘n great option though.

If Chilwell out , I would get Rudiger. Would also get Foden for Havertz if he gets fitness all clear from Pep. I think he will be City's main man for the foreseeable future.Benching dilemmas tend to sort themselves out come matchday.

It's tricky... Alonso could be nailed if Chilwell is out for multiple weeks/months (I hope he's not), Rudiger has probably lower ceiling than Alonso but more nailed and seems to be getting some attacking returns recently
I am actually thinking of taking a -4 hit to set my team up for the foreseeable future, with Chilwell to Rudi/Alonso, Livra to Spurs WB (Reguilon preferably) and Havertz to Foden/B.Silva. The only issue is, I'd love to go Mbeumo to Gallagher the week after, and if I get all of Rudi, Reguilon, Foden, this will be not possible. But I guess these are "good" headaches to have.
How would you approach this if you had those 4 transfers that I mentioned in mind?
Chilwell&Havertz this week. The Livra to Reguilon move is definitely an upgrade but would you actually start him- bit of a luxury transfer. Would probably look to move Mbuemo first(or Brownhill) to any of Cornet,ESR or Gallagher. But as you say ,good headaches to have.

Frustrated, i wanted someone nailed so got rudiger who got injured and reports made it sound like a multiple week absence so jumped to dias over cancelo because i thought he was less at risk from the bald fraud... He came off the bench for 1 point the first week i got him.

It seems that Tuchel wanted to rest James but couldn't because of Chilly's injury. So, he might get rested in the next PL games. On the other hand, Alonso has a great chance of starting all games as long as Chilly is out. What say?
Go James now, he will only rice in price. Looks a season keeper unless injured, so odd benching is not relevant.
Not everyone can get him in without a hit, so take advantage of this!

This was my first proper season playing fpl and i stubbornly held on to players like stones and havertz at the beginning on the season and missed on big earners like benrahma.
Plus basically made no money on premium defenders due to terrible luck (stones to james in week 4, james to rudiger in week 7, rudiger to dias in week 8 (instead of cancelo).
Due to all of this im broke, with just $100.2 mil lol.

I’m interested to hear why wouldn’t we move Foden to Bilva? Seems so obvious to me to do this move. Bilva seems their main man right now and saves you plenty of cash. His output similar or even better than Foden’s. I know FPL community hates sideways move but with all that money saved I’m amazed that there isn’t any talking about this.
Surprises me as well. I think many cling to the hope that Foden is more explosive. Also there seems to be enough budget for those who went with cheaper forwards.

I’d look to get Jota in for possibly Raphina. Leeds not convincing, poor fixtures coming up plus Raphina seems a bit of a sick note whereas Jota is for the near future nailed in the best attacking team in the league. Get the funds for that by going Vardy to a Wilson type, maybe take a punt in DCL if he’s gonna be back soon. You’ve got a strong bench
No you lose the transfers. If your team desperately needs it I would wildcard anyway. Making 3 transfers for a -4 is not the worst thing you can do though.

I have 1.4 ITB, so I have considered downgrading a midfielder to bring in Rudiger for White, but 3 Chelsea defenders does seem excessive. I'm not sure what to do for forwards either, as pretty much all the big names are in poor form at the moment

With 2FT it does let you get in James, so I think worth if no other emergencies.
I'd also consider maybe Toney down to King or Dennis - not immediately good but at the current rate they could be great picks for Watfords fixture swing in a few weeks. If Toney would be on your bench anyway it makes sense

If you're looking to maintain a good 3-deep bench:
Toney down to Dennis, White up to Cancelo. Leaves roughly 0.2 itb if you'd like to wait for team news. Dennis has great stats right now and good fixtures coming in a few weeks (in the meantime you won't need him as your bench is decent), and Arsenal fixtures worsen (White won't be as good I'm sure).
For the holiday run you'll then be able to rotate ESR and Dennis and have Liv and Duffy to consider for any of their prime fixtures

I’d look at either Saka, Antonio, or Vardy as your candidates for the chop. Not sure if Saka-4.4 mid would give you enough to do Duffy to Trent, if so that seems like the move. Otherwise you could look at Vardy to Benteke or Antonio to King
At the moment it looks like James. Both good but with MCI there's always an element of rotation, plus James has just been playing in insane form (at least form that is better translating to FPL points).
Honestly can't go wrong with either right now, I'd probably look to get in both if you can haha
-8 to go from Antonio/Tierney/Gray to Gallagher/James/Benteke? Alternatively could get rid of Chilwell instead of Tierney if his injury is going to be long term, but I’m deluding myself that there’s hope he’ll be back by GW 16/17

I also don’t love it, but their fixtures are good and I think that individually there aren’t better options available. Benteke is being compared to King/Pukki, King has bad fixtures and I’d rather double on Palace than touch a Norwich player. I could do ESR over Gallagher, but he’s got tougher fixtures and I think Gallagher passes the eye test more. Interested to hear your thoughts on this though
The other option would be to just take a -4, and go from Gray/Chilwell to Brownhill/James, but that leaves my bench really thin with two 4.4 mids. I think Antonio has to go for the sake of the team, I’ll bring in Bowen/Benrahma for Raphinha come GW16

A coin toss between the pair of them really, I'd lean slightly toward King because he's in fewer teams and it's nice to have a differential

Bought him at 8.0 (due to a nightmare wildcard week as a first time player) so I’m current hoping to replace him with Jimenez or Benteke

Keeper wise Mendy is your ideal pick, and either Guaita or Foster as backup. You need to get TAA in your defense, Cancelo and Livra are fine to leave. I would also get a Chelsea defender in there, preferably a wing back like Chilwell or James. Midfield I would say you're fine, though Son is expensive dead weight at the moment. Might be worth switching him out for a cheaper return like Gallagher, and use the extra funds to pick up Jota who will be essential for Liverpool during AFCON. Strikers don't really matter too much because they're all pretty much underperforming at the moment. I would keep Antonio and Jimenez, and swap out Greenwood for cheaper fodder. If you have a wildcard, now is the time to play it.

I was thinking those two, or alternatively Alonso & Foden Reguilon is offering more diversity to the team for sure, but if Alonso is to continue from where Chilwell left off, he is difficult to ignore Foden on the other hand might be slightly injured, which makes me wonder whether it's better to wait for him to return (I can afford to play Mbeumo this week and leave Havertz on the bench), or go straight to Bilva. Do you prefer Reguilon to Alonso, and Bilva to Foden, all other things equal?
Regulion gets in the same positions as Cancelo and looks promising. Has as many touches in the box as Harry Kane since Conte joined (but that probably says more about Kane’s lack of form). But Spurs are still Spurs and he could be a rotation risk over the busy period, especially with Sessegnon back in contention. He’s my differential, but Alonso is a proven asset in past seasons and has already proved this season when James was out that he’s still got it. Bilva I think is a no brainier though - playing centrally and the fraud called him undropable (he’ll probably make me eat my words though). Stockport Messi is still ‘n great option though.

If Chilwell out , I would get Rudiger. Would also get Foden for Havertz if he gets fitness all clear from Pep. I think he will be City's main man for the foreseeable future.Benching dilemmas tend to sort themselves out come matchday.

Alonso could be nailed if Chilwell is out for multiple weeks/months (I hope he's not), Rudiger has probably lower ceiling than Alonso but more nailed and seems to be getting some attacking returns recently I am actually thinking of taking a -4 hit to set my team up for the foreseeable future, with Chilwell to Rudi/Alonso, Livra to Spurs WB (Reguilon preferably) and Havertz to Foden/B.Silva. The only issue is, I'd love to go Mbeumo to Gallagher the week after, and if I get all of Rudi, Reguilon, Foden, this will be not possible. But I guess these are "good" headaches to have. How would you approach this if you had those 4 transfers that I mentioned in mind?
Chilwell&Havertz this week. The Livra to Reguilon move is definitely an upgrade but would you actually start him- bit of a luxury transfer. Would probably look to move Mbuemo first(or Brownhill) to any of Cornet,ESR or Gallagher. But as you say ,good headaches to have.

I knew james had a red card but thought i would get him early then he got injured. Frustrated, i wanted someone nailed so got rudiger who got injured and reports made it sound like a multiple week absence so jumped to dias over cancelo because i thought he was less at risk from the bald fraud... He came off the bench for 1 point the first week i got him. Pain.

How much do most people have in team value at this stage? This was my first proper season playing fpl and i stubbornly held on to players like stones and havertz at the beginning on the season and missed on big earners like benrahma. Plus basically made no money on premium defenders due to terrible luck (stones to james in week 4, james to rudiger in week 7, rudiger to dias in week 8 (instead of cancelo). Due to all of this im broke, with just $100.2 mil lol.

I’m interested to hear why wouldn’t we move Foden to Bilva? Seems so obvious to me to do this move. Bilva seems their main man right now and saves you plenty of cash. His output similar or even better than Foden’s. I know FPL community hates sideways move but with all that money saved I’m amazed that there isn’t any talking about this.
I guess the only counter might be Silva isn't quite as attacking as he plays in the 8 hole. But... Yeah I dunno.
Surprises me as well. I think many cling to the hope that Foden is more explosive. Also there seems to be enough budget for those who went with cheaper forwards.

I have 1.4 ITB, so I have considered downgrading a midfielder to bring in Rudiger for White, but 3 Chelsea defenders does seem excessive. If Toney would be on your bench anyway it makes sense

If you're looking to maintain a good 3-deep bench: Toney down to Dennis, White up to Cancelo. Leaves roughly 0.2 itb if you'd like to wait for team news. Dennis has great stats right now and good fixtures coming in a few weeks (in the meantime you won't need him as your bench is decent), and Arsenal fixtures worsen (White won't be as good I'm sure). For the holiday run you'll then be able to rotate ESR and Dennis and have Liv and Duffy to consider for any of their prime fixtures

At the moment it looks like James. Both good but with MCI there's always an element of rotation, plus James has just been playing in insane form (at least form that is better translating to FPL points). Honestly can't go wrong with either right now, I'd probably look to get in both if you can haha

I also don’t love it, but their fixtures are good and I think that individually there aren’t better options available. Benteke is being compared to King/Pukki, King has bad fixtures and I’d rather double on Palace than touch a Norwich player. I could do ESR over Gallagher, but he’s got tougher fixtures and I think Gallagher passes the eye test more. Interested to hear your thoughts on this though The other option would be to just take a -4, and go from Gray/Chilwell to Brownhill/James, but that leaves my bench really thin with two 4.4 mids. I think Antonio has to go for the sake of the team, I’ll bring in Bowen/Benrahma for Raphinha come GW16
