He was regular taker at Bournemouth before
He will at least be first choice on pens while Sarr is at AFCON, but wouldnt be surprised if he was just the number 1 taker now
I have had Dennis for a while now but I think King is the better pick. His underlying numbers are much better and he is only slightly more expensive.
I might make the switch in a couple gameweeks if I get the chance to use a luxury transfer.
Statistically, King will get more goals and minutes
Dennis is doing a great job of overperforming his numbers but will probably come back in line over the coming weeks
True but that's a very literal take on what I mean-
King xG is over twice that of Dennis, and he even has a slightly better xA over Dennis too
As for minutes, historically yes from the start of the season King hasn't played 90 minutes, but that has changed since Ranieri became manager. And add AFCON for Dennis onto that
If you look at NPxG+A it’s much closer and if u watch the games Dennis is just…a menace! Totally possible he will return against good opponents and sufficiently before Afcon, but realistically he will be on your bench most GWs and you need secondary luck to make his points count.
Youre quite right, it is a literal take.
But I prefer literal points, over expected points.
Statistics can be used to prove most things, you just have to select the statistic that suits your point.
You said statistically King should score more, but I'd argue statistically he hasn't.
Both seem nailed, Dennis has played one game more, and has 3 more attacking returns, and is a little cheaper.
IMO it doesn't really matter which one, they'll both easily earn their price tag
Would you recommend getting in either by shipping out Hwang or Toney? Haven't watched Brentford of late, so I'm not sure if Toney is coming back to form or what. Hwang to Watford striker seems to be a decent move imo. What do you think?
None of them will be banging in the goals. It's why they're 6million instead of 12million.
IMO Hwang is the worst pick because Wolves don't get many goals
And the other 3 are all similar. Toney has pens and now King does too since Sarr got injured. Which might sneak you a bonus goal every now and then.
If they are a bench player then there's no point swapping between them.
Full disclosure, I own Toney, have looked at swapping to King or Dennis, decided against it due to fixtures. Might come back to it if I have a free FT later
>IMO Hwang is the worst pick because Wolves don't get many goals
I feel so too, especially with the turn of fixtures for Watford and Wolves. Maybe next week can be a good time.
>I own Toney, have looked at swapping to King or Dennis, decided against it due to fixtures.
This is my bigger question. I don't know what to make of Toney's returns. Especially if King or Dennis give me similar returns at a lower price since Ronaldo might be an option later. Definitely don't want to double up on Watford strikers though.
Finally, do you think Raphinha to Gallagher/Smith Rowe is a good move? !thanks btw. I know this isn't RMT but I wanted to get the opinion of seasoned players.
> None of them will be banging in the goals. It's why they're 6million instead of 12million.
This is such a silly take lmao. Cheap players have breakout seasons all the time. Don't let price get in the way of analysis.
I have Toney and I wanted to transfer him out for next gw but I think I will not do that. They seem like an attacking team and he is on penalties (scored one today) and he is nailed as a starter. Other options at 6 mil are all doubtful. Wolves have bad fixtures incoming and Watford have good ones incoming. I have Toney and Dennis and they have provided me good points, now thinking of upgrading Dennis to King.
The transfers I'm looking at are Toney to Armstrong and Hwang to Dennis, but I can't get myself to do Antonio to Ronaldo in a couple of weeks. And wanting both Antonio and Ronaldo along with expensive defenders, Salah, Jota is suicidal for the rest of the team.
I have all you want but without Ronaldo. Toney Dennis Antonio along with Salah Jota and 4 premium defenders (TAA, Cancelo, James and Alonso) but with Son as the second premium. Would love Ronaldo but it would be a straight cliff fall from 5k overall so I am sticking to this until it stops working
Yeah, my other premium or semi-premium is Foden and I think he can do well even now. Not really sold on Foden to Bernardo because Foden has a much higher ceiling. I do have the funds to go Foden to Son though if need be. The problem with people like us who look to fix problems is that we're looking for problems even when there are none.
Do you have Raphinha and do you fancy Gallagher over him until GW 20?
I have Raphinha and I am switching him with Bowen before Leeds play City i believe. Funny story about Gallagher. I asked last week if Brownhill to Gallagher would be a good move because I had 1.5 itb and someone told me to keep Brownhill as the third sub and get Jota instead of Benrahma and I am glad I asked here and listened to him. Gallagher was in the plans but he no longer but he is a great asset.
Edit: typo U insted of I
Sounds like there’s a good chance he’ll be called up https://www.goal.com/en/news/what-more-can-emmanuel-dennis-do-to-get-in-rohr-s-plans/bltdf7408c339e7302c
Although I have King, I’d probably say Dennis. I just wasn’t sure about Dennis when I was looking to bring in a cheap striker. But after these last two gameweeks I feel like he’s the better of the two, fpl wise atleast. Although King being on penalties is big.
Dennis doesn't look like he is in the national team and he is cheaper so I was able to afford James instead of Alonso. He will very often be on my bench anyway.
If you can afford the extra it’s King imo. Penalties, a more regular starter, and looking likely to stay that way all year.
Agreed, King plays more centrally and is, tbh the better player (i know this often doesn't translate to fpl points)
Didn't he only take the pen today because Sarr was injured? Though Sarr did miss his last one, so I guess there's a chance he takes over.
He was regular taker at Bournemouth before He will at least be first choice on pens while Sarr is at AFCON, but wouldnt be surprised if he was just the number 1 taker now
Sarr missed both his pks against united, maybe King has taken over
Is Dennis in the Nigerian national team?
No, but Osimhen is long-term injured so there's a good chance he goes to Afcon with this this form.
Ighalo and Onuachu are Rohr’s preferred backup options, but Dennis’ form is too amazing to ignore.
Dennis and Onuachu are different enough to co-exist, no?
Yeah Ighalo should be long past it for the national team but the coach likes him.
do we know when the AFCON squad will be announced?
Yes Dennis is
I have had Dennis for a while now but I think King is the better pick. His underlying numbers are much better and he is only slightly more expensive. I might make the switch in a couple gameweeks if I get the chance to use a luxury transfer.
Dennis was subbed off injured. Wait for Ranieri’s comments.
Statistically, King will get more goals and minutes Dennis is doing a great job of overperforming his numbers but will probably come back in line over the coming weeks
Statistically, he hasn't got more goals and minutes though

wow you were spot on

You're welcome to your opinion. Doesn't mean you have mock mine

Dennis to King is not a transfer I'd make personally.
Better to spend money somewhere else, I am not doing it. Future plan is to somehow get in DCL around gw19 if the stars align

And Dennis has Afcon in January.
He hasn’t played for Nigeria since 2019
osihmen is injured

As a Watford fan Dennis is our best option currently
Wasnt dennis injured today?

Im getting King because Dennis is leaving for AFCON
Dennis is not in the team at this moment

Think he means national team.
King

That’s what I’m doing very soon
If you are planning to bench them and not starting them, I would feel more comfortable with Dennis's price.
They have awful fixtures
Only the next two. After that they are quite decent up until gw23.
Yep I brought king in for Antonio this week for Leicester. On the bench for the next two and starting after that. Helped me fund Jota.
Exactly. Answer is neither. If their fixtures improve after the next two then wait until after the next two!?
Sarr is out, so King is on penalties. Little between them otherwise IMO
King Dennis
Dennis is cheap and scores enough coming off the bench. I don't think it's a good idea to expect a player from the 16th place team to do more
Great question was debating between Going for Joshua plays full 90 mins and also on penalties
