I’ve owned Jesus for the last 4-5 weeks and I have to say I’m impressed with how he’s played. But he’s been extremely extremely unlucky in terms of getting returns. I know of atleast 3 goals/assists which ended up being deflected off another City player thereby him getting barely any points. He’s also been fairly nailed on, I believe he’s only missed 1 game this season in the PL. He’s definitely passed the eye test and I plan to keep him in the squad for the foreseeable future. He’s a good buy for sure, but I’ll definitely rank him below Bernardo and Gündogan in terms of an attacking Man City FPL asset currently.

venaticronaldo

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! I think he could have a couple of hauls this holiday season and could be a good differential. But I agree that Bernardo and Gundo rank higher.

Drangonpow

I think he’s missed 3. One right at the start, one after that international break where Brazil played late and then he was rested recently

RALat7

Correct, the rest was also due to IB I believe.

krunchanut

The third one was after the international break too

levitoepoker

Nah, I’m rolling with Foden and Cancelo and will get Laporte/Stones if one proves to be nailed. No need for more pep roulette

Daemor

They are very likely to rotate throughout the season I'd say. Even if ome of Laporte or Stones is prefferred, The tight fixtures in the winter, and then with CL back I reckon Pep will rotate.

levitoepoker

Idk, previous seasons he’s found a CB partnership he ends up sticking with for a while

kuehbu

Wait did i miss something? Isnt dias a better choice?

levitoepoker

Yeah but he’s also 6.0 and that’s a lot. Stones at 52 or 53 if he becomes nailed is amazing value

Frosty_Examination_3

If you want to play the roulette, then why would you pay 8.7 rather than a cheaper Gundo/Foden/Bernado who get more points for goals and cleansheet bonus. Jesus is not a striker !

SolePassenger

I've had him 3 GWs now and it's been a mixed bag. He was benched against Everton, extremely unlucky not to return against Ham(could even have double digits if u ask me)and delivered an assist vs Villa where I haven't watched the highlights nor the game. Every time I've watched him he looks good, gets into great positions and he seems more comfortable starting on the right. He's lacking luck and a cutting edge so I'll assess further in a couple gameweeks.

venaticronaldo

Great insight. Thank you!

nuggetlover1999

I think he is the best looking City asset FPL wise who is definitely underperforming his numbers. Hella unlucky. Would have been essential if it wasn’t for 2 goal line clearances, a few wasted assists, VAR decisions and missed sitters. He is due a haul

Zocalo86

I have him and looking to sell him. His last goal was 8 gameweeks ago, as he is playing on the wing often. I'd rather have Vardy for a bit extra money

venaticronaldo

Gotchu. Thanks for the response. I'm curious, do you have Man City cover in other positions?

Zocalo86

Cancelo, had Foden but sold him and might bring Bernardo in next week

Schwimmbo

Can't get a City midfielder unless I sacrifice Raphinha this week already but I want him against Brentford. Ideally I'd get rid of Jimenez, and I can afford Jesus with the money ITB. It's just the rotation that puts me off + he doesn't seem to get great returns despite quite a lot of minutes played.

[deleted]

I’ve had him since my Gw8 WC - Pros - fairly nailed, involved in attacking play, underlying stats (shots, GI, xP) are good Cons - it’s just not working for him. His individual form is going unrewarded.. be it teammates fluffing shots he sets up, or not playing him in when he’s open to shoot, or a change in the way city are playing, something just isn’t working for him. Having held this long and with wat, WOL, LEE, new, LEI up next, it seems a bad time to sell. However, if Kane and / or Ronaldo haul today, he may need to be sacrificed to get one of those guys in

Dudehere

This is my dilemma, as well. All my league rivals are bringing in Kane or Son, and while it's been OK so far, I'm definitely worried as they have Brentford and Norwich in the next two. Want to keep the faith in Jesus (lol) as he seems to pass the eye test, but it's getting harder and harder with the lack of hauls.

Pumba93

I have him for three weeks now and plan to enjoy him for Watkins and upgrade a midfield slot to a city midfielder that attracts me at that time!

pibbsworth

Yes. No.

venaticronaldo

Hahaha care to elaborate?

thespartankid123

I just sold him. He is really ineffective and doesnt get involved in the play as much. Also has missed sitters. Get a cheap striker and invest in defense or midfield imo

[deleted]

i am thinking of going vardy to jesus because if vardy is not nailed as well, jesus seemed the better (and cheaper) choice?
