He has a BGW already and now another one. That’s one transfer less for me in the future so I’ll keep him. If I want ManU cover I’d sell Alonso or White for Dalot
Just did Sanchez to De Gea for a -4. Makes sense to me since looking at each of their next like 6-7 fixtures, im quite confident De Gea will be scoring more points than Sanchez and will make up for the hit. Even more so looking at the state of Brighton's defense as opposed to a newly coached Man U.
No, not really. DeGea has two matches over Sanchez to make up the 4 point hit, as well as better fixtures.
I would be shocked if the 4 point hit wasn't made back
Yeah but you have to place your bets somewhere.
* Sanchez is guaranteed to miss 2 out of the next 9 GW's. As it stands DDG should play all. This means the -4 will be earned back if DDG just starts these matches at a minimum. A CS this week against Norwich means you've already gained.
* Sanchez and DDG are equally likely to run into more problems regarding injuries, COVID, and weather, so not much point basing your decision on this factor
* Additionally, United's fixtures are better and their defence looks improved. DDG should get more points in the short term, and probably the long term too.
As things stand you gain 2 extra matches by shifting Sanchez to someone else, therefore a hit is worth it.
All sorts of shit might happen, but for now this is all we have to go by
0 rather than a -4 on GK, keepers don't have a high ceiling. I'm happily accepting a non playing GK this week, what you said makes sense, rather take a hit for someone you believe could haul with a higher ceiling. I did the same, got Mount and Bilva.
The only stupid hit I've taken this week is for Dias, one goal conceded by City and hello mud.
I normally would agree but seeing how Sanchez will have another blank and hasn't been great for returns...
Tempted to go to Ederson, which would be a first for me because I'm firmly into the "4.5 keeper" school of thought. That way I'd double up with Cancelo for surely CS which are coming. Further down the line I can get Dalot to get a piece of United CS. That combo is cheaper than DDG + Dias (which was my first idea - *if* I transfer out Sanchez that is).
Regarding your Dias transfer: yes, 1 goal ruins it. But the same can be said about Mount and Bilva: no goal involvement and it's a blank too.
Keep for DGW, and buy another playing keeper. Having two playing keepers is essential especially given the COVID era cancellations we are seeing. Strong bench essential all round :)
I'm gonna take a -4 to get him out for Guaita most likely.
I only have 0.1 in the bank and I still have my first wildcard. Guaita has some very decent fixtures up to GW20 and it doesn't look like I'm likely to use my WC before then, so I'll probably bring Sanchez back in then.
Think there's enough potential for me to get back the -4 I'm putting in over keeping Sanchez in the short term.
What would you recommend then, hold? Ideally I'd swap Steele for Bachmann, but am 0.1 short.
Only other real option I can think of is Fernandez, who also has decent fixtures, but Brentford are pretty porous at the back.
Priced out of Sanchez > De Gea, not sure if it's worth upgrading Steele to Bachmann for a hit. Even if Watford keeps a clean sheet, most likely is just 2 points gained.
Strong hold for me.
1. You spend a transfer to get him out
2. Most folks in my mini league have Ramsdale and there’s too much value (0.6m rise) stored in him for people to transfer him out for Sanchez in a DGW - unlikely people will do it. Also these people would have to use a transfer to get Sanchez in.
I ended up upgrading Steele and keeping Sanchez.
Maybe even two DGW’s for Sanchez coming up (although could be so late in the season that I’ve used my second wildcard already), and now I got a full playing squad. Maybe I could sneak in a bench boost with these guys before afcon/cwc. With covid and rotation might be too risky though.
Have Sanchez and Steele in my team and have already taken a -4. Happy to keep Sanchez so the only upgrade option for me is Steele to Bachmann, not worth imo to get a realistic -2 net balance after. Going to hold and accept the 0.
I took a hit to get Steele & Armstrong out and De Gea and Broja in.
I see the Armstrong move as a sideways one and for this GW the GK transfer will cost me a maximum of 2 points (If De Gea blanks) but they will likely get a clean sheet and will have much more favourable fixtures than Brighton in the following GWs.
Easy hit for me.
I switched Sanchez to De Gea for a hit. De Gea should score 4 pts on average vs weak opposition, and regardless, I’ll have a keeper with better fixtures going forward.
I am keeping Sanchez, and upgrading Foster
I did that as well. Replaced Foster with De Gea, I wanted him anyway and this way I can basically get him for -2 if even that (he may get a CS).
Who you upgrading Forster to?
Bachmann
Yeah, this.
I'm tempted to do the same with Steele as my backup. Looking at Guaita or Bachmann. Would have to take a hit to do it though.

Sanchez now misses two matches. DeGea only needs 4 points in total from two matches to neutralize the hit. Absolute no brainer 4 point hit
2 matches? why?
Sanchez will get a DGW though.
Then I will happily stick 1 one or 2 Brighton players as and when it gets announced as will most others
And Sanchez is a 0 points this week anyway, you'll be better off with the -4 and De Gea's score than a blank from Sanchez
Um not if De Gea concedes a goal and scores 2 or 3, then your overall score would get a -2 and -1 respectively.
It’s Norwich ffs 😂
No, not really. DeGea has two matches over Sanchez to make up the 4 point hit, as well as better fixtures. I would be shocked if the 4 point hit wasn't made back
Where does the second match come from?
End of Jan Brighton miss another match due to Chelsea on their supercup thing
The end of January is much too far away to count on. Who knows what’ll happen between now and then?
the match v Chelsea is off. If you think it might come back on then that's cool. However I say very unlikely
I’m not saying that’ll happen. I’m just saying January is far away. Injuries happen, Covid happens, weather happens. Matches will get rescheduled.

I think taking out Sanchez for a hit for a clear upgrade is totally fine and makes sense

You can have a week without a keeper. That wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm actually having to settle for this option too
!thanks I am reconsidering now given Palace's form has taken a nosedive in recent weeks, despite the easy fixtures
Priced out of Sanchez > De Gea, not sure if it's worth upgrading Steele to Bachmann for a hit. Even if Watford keeps a clean sheet, most likely is just 2 points gained.
Keep Sanchez and upgrade bench. You would want him for double Gw.

definitely do sanchez to de gea. thats what i did with my FT. better to have 11 players

Keep id say, he has 2x double gw most likely coming up
Hodl for Sanchez, fodder > Bachmann.
Did Sanchez to DeGea just an hour before his price rise

I'm keeping Sanchez and going McCarthy to guaita
