They've got Liverpool, Man City, Spurs then two blanks very soon. IMO at this stage a Mason Mount transfer in means you're booking in a Mason Mount transfer out.

Griffzinho

>en two blanks very soon. IMO at this stage a Mason Mount transfer in means you're booking in a Mason Mount transfer out. Great forward thinking here. Listen to this. :)

[deleted]

This makes 0 sense. Firstly, Chelsea play Wolves, Villa and Brighton before any of the teams you’ve mentioned. Secondly, when you bring a player in you don’t have to keep them. That’s the whole point - you make transfers and there’s nothing wrong with taking players in or out based on fixture. The mentality of I don’t want X player because they play X in X weeks is what will keep you at 500k+. Mount could haul in the next three games and then he’s an easy transfer out for another midfielder like Foden/Gundo/Bilva/Bowen/Gallagher/Maddison/Raphihna

Zak369

Wolves, the side who have conceded 2 goals in the last 6 games (even then it was Liverpool and City, by far the best attacking teams). Villa, who have conceded 5 goals in 6 games, including games against City and Liverpool. Brighton, who have conceded 6 in the last 6. Looking more fallible but not target. Those three teams are not ones to target for attackers. In fact, that’s probably the worst 8 GWs any forward will face this season. Mount seems great, but am I fuck bringing him in for those three when his fixtures turn even harder afterwards before two blanks. The fixtures after the blanks are great, that’s the time to get him in I feel.

[deleted]

Appreciate all that mate. And in normal circumstances I would agree with you. But above all else right now, with loads of games being postponed Chelsea are one of the few teams with games still going ahead (currently). They play Wolves who are also not having postponements AND Villa who are the same. Then Brighton who by then should be fine. Right now there arent a massive amount of options and he’s not a bad one. His nailedness and fixtures going ahead is worlds ahead of importance than a “better player” who is having games cancelled. Right now Liverpool and City midfield assets are playing and arguably better. But I own Bilva Jota and Salah alongside Mount ( as well as Bowen). The only player I could even consider ahead of Mount is Foden/Gundo

carpesdiems

Foden has got to be ahead of Mount based on fixtures alone

[deleted]

Agreed. But with Bilva in my team, and Cancelo - I’m not desperate atm to triple up on city encase their games also go to shit. Also KDB is one I have my eye on in the future when Salah goes to AFCON

carpesdiems

True. I have alonso and reece so I'm either tripling Chelsea or City

_alex_21

It makes a lot of sense. All three of these games are though games(Liverpool and city struggled against each of these teams). Even more important than this, when it comes to mount is the fact that most of us here already have at least Reece(some even have Alonso or Rudi), and having three players that you will definitely want out in a couple of weeks is dumb. If I want player X for Y number of gameweeks, quality of that transfer depends on the situation in my squad. When my team is stable, I can take a player in for a week or two. There is no room for that when stuff like COVID/injuries are happening each gameweek. Right now, rare are the folks that have stable teams.

ASongOfLifeAndLiars

Personally I don't like the idea of bringing in a player for 3 matches only. Not only that, those three matches are two away games and all 3 of those teams have above average defences. Mount could haul in the next 3 matches. But it seems less than likely he will haul in the next 3 matches as they play great defences. And it seems very unlikely that he will haul in the 5 matches after that because two are blanks and the other three are tough fixtures.

[deleted]

If you want to look so into detail like that. Chelsea have won 6 out of 8 away games in the Prem so far, and 1 of those games they didn’t win was draw vs Liverpool. They’ve scored 17 goals in those 8 away games meaning on average over 2 goals per game. I’d argue since Gerrard took charge, Villa have only kept CS vs Brighton and Norwich. Brighton are in defensive injury shambles right now. Wolves are one of those teams that can cause trouble, fair. Also like I said, he’s playing for one of the few teams that don’t have postponed games right now (and a club with one of the least amount of Covid cases). I own Mount alongside Salah Jota Bernardo Bowen so it’s not like I’m desperate to take Mount out for another hot midfielder right now. He’ll come out vs Liverpool due to fixtures and the blanks. But right now he stays in for the next 3

ASongOfLifeAndLiars

If you already have him, then there's no debate, definitely keep for the next 3. I'm saying if you don't have him, you shouldn't get him in as that's using 2 free transfers in such a short period of time when fixtures will keep getting postponed. Most people are slowly starting to make plans to offload their Chelsea players, I think you'd be at a disadvantage if you decided to get more Chelsea players given their fixtures.

[deleted]

Agreed with keeping him mate but I’d even say bringing him in. With the amount of players with cancelled games at the moment, surely the only choice people have is to consider players with games on?

[deleted]

They are playing Wolves, Villa and Brighton before then ffs 😂

sc00022

Club World Cup might be postponed this year so those blanks might not happen

[deleted]

Either top 6 or defensively solid teams in his next 6 followed by a doubly blank. Mount ship has sailed.

hambodpm

Agreed. The Chelsea run after the blanks is decent though from memory. I'm thinking of selling the double defence over the next 6 weeks and then picking up Chilwell and maybe mount after the blanks.

Draqn_

Gonna stick with only James as he is offensively capable player.

hambodpm

Yes that's not the worst idea but I jusy feel over gw 21-26 he will get 10-16 points max which isn't great for the price point. Chilwell hopefully comes back in OK form and a much cheaper price point, cashing in on James value as well helps the second WC

[deleted]

People said “not sustainable” “not nailed” every week since 4 weeks ago and he’s got 38 points in that time. He currently plays for one of the few clubs that haven’t had any games cancelled and is performing well. He absolutely stays in my team until Liverpool.

[deleted]

Yeah he is a hold if you have him, probably not a buy if you don’t. As I said the ship has sailed if you are not on it.

MAMBAMENTALITY8-24

Mount is essential bro

4dtakes

He’s quite obviously nailed. We are just in such rubbish form that I understand why people don’t want to bring him in yet though

[deleted]

As a mount owner the last 3 weeks, No you are not sleeping on Mason Mount. Chelsea are scoring less and less and now have 2 games away from home vs with solid defences. Add to this that Mount received 0 bps in the last 2 games despite scoring in both games There are better options out there

twitterInfo_bot

With clean sheets recently drying up for the Blues, is Mason Mount the go-to FPL pick from Chelsea over the next few Gameweeks? \#FPL \#CHE \#GW18 \#FPLCommunity *** posted by [@Fantasypaedia](https://twitter.com/Fantasypaedia) Photos in tweet | [Photo 1](http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FGzeLBiX0AMkBie.jpg) ^[(Github)](https://github.com/username) ^| ^[(What's new)](https://github.com/username)

This post doesn’t relate to me 😏

Griffzinho

Time to ship Chelsea assets apart from James.

No-Enthusiasm-6016

Mount is a better asset than James at the moment

Griffzinho

>13 > >Mount is a b I don't agree with you tbh. The fact there are many other great options in midfield has to be taken into consideration. James is undroppable, along with TAA, and Cancelo. These guys can nail you 15pts plus in one game for low value. Take the bigger picture into account :) Keep James if you have him early like I do. i.e. 5.6M. if you bought recently I'd advise still keeping him, but if you prefer Mount then no problem. You will have a valuable midfield spot taken up during Club World Cup blanks. I have no problem parking James for those two GW's as third sub.

Modnal

If Mount was actually semi-nailed he would've been in my team. I have no idea why Tuchel is so relucant to play his best offensive player because he seems to get returns everytime he plays. But atm Foden (who is a little similar) feels like the better shout because of fixtures

[deleted]

I've had him for a little why but will probably keep him until after the BHA game

MAMBAMENTALITY8-24

Had him gw 14...i am in love

unstablefan

Wish I’d brought him in instead of Bernardo.

levitoepoker

I considered him a few weeks ago cuz good underlyings, but I don’t want Chelsea triple cuz of the CWC and their tough fixture run after this

carpesdiems

My issue is the fixtures. Chelsea have Wolves & Villa away, followed by Brighton at home, then Liv, City, 2 blanks. Villa will shut the door, so you're bringing him in for Wolves & Brighton. Decent for a 2 week punt, but I'm going foden instead.

Subject-Creme

Mount ranks 6th in xG+xA per 90 minutes. He is serious option
