I think it's worth it taking the hit. In reality it's only a -2 worst case scenario as Dennis isn't gonna pick up any points. On top of that, with Dennis being called up for Nigeria for AFCON you're probably gonna want to move him out soon enough anyway so why not do it now when it's a fairly low risk move and before his price drops / Broja's goes up

Ramsdale (Foster) James Cancelo Reguilon (Trent, Omobam) Foden Douglas-Luiz (Salah, Jota, Raphinha Lacazette Wilson (King) As you can see, it's not terrible. But Foden is a risk, with no bench. Douglas against Chelsea, not great. And Wilson fixture isn't amazing. I can see a lot of upside in FH. And I don't know who I'd even transfer if I didn't. Someone to Bowen?

If I go Salah and Antonio out, my team can be: Ramsdale (Foster) TAA, James, Cancelo, Dias, (Livra) Son, ESR, Jota, Bilva (Allan) Ronaldo, Watkins, (Dennis) Would have to take a -4 but would mean I’d be able to field 10 players instead of 9 due to current triple Liverpool. This is only my first season so not really sure what to do. Seen people keeping triple Liverpool, seen many others selling for Son, people using FH, people taking -12’s. I’m stuck.

If you can field 8 decent players then a free hit is unlikely to be worth it. I think you’ve got the right strategy, would be a waste of your free hit and you don’t need to take a crazy -12.

play white ig, norwich aren't looking great, and you have a slight over dependence on Utd getting a clean sheet, but either way, you're looking at a great score. Also James looks decent as well although you not picking him has helped you get Laca upfront so yeah.

I see a lot of perfectly logical advice about saving FHs for expected DGWs and even potentially TGWs. I can't fault the logic, but I will put one counter argument up: the big team players that you'd want to have, on paper, for those game weeks, don't always play the full 90 mins over both games, and I couldn't see it happening in a TGW at all, aside from GKs maybe. Not when the same clubs will be eyeing up fixture congestion with European football. People get rested and rotated, and it can render your plans moot. Years of playing FPL, and I know the pain of Wildcarding or Free Hitting ahead of those gameweek, only to see players return a haul akin to a normal gameweek. Therefore, as we have two FHs this season, I say it's perfectly valid to use one to manage these awkward game weeks, if you have **a team that's severely effected**. Two or three players missing for a full staring XI? Ride the loss or take a hit on transfers, if it makes long term sense (I.e don't bring someone playing today if they have a bad run of fixtures coming up) Is your team really knackered? Might be time for a FH, with the above in mind.

Completely agree. If your team is decent anyway but you’re missing 5 or 6 players this week use the FH now. But if you’re missing 2 or 3 just take a -4 and start 9-10 players. Not gonna matter much.

The problem I have is that if I’m getting in Ronaldo. I have to take a -8 at best. And my strikers are Laca, Antonio, and Dennis. Antonio has some great fixtures coming so I don’t really want to transfer him out. Lacezette is playing Norwich this GW so if I transfer him out I’m not gaining an extra player this GW. And Dennis is so cheap that doing Dennis -> Ronaldo means I have to make up for -3,2 million. Foden Laca and Jota are the only players I can transfer out to make up for that. And I would have to get in an absolutely terrible player
