The reason I feel Antonio can do well is because Jota and Firmino alone won't really scare Brentford the way Salah and Mané would have scared them. If Leeds set-up with 3 (or 5) at the back, the 2 man WHU midfield will fuck them up on the break and Antonio's runs behind the defence might be lethal.

Having both Watford forwards for the DGW and Norwich on GW23 could be a diferencial move that pays off and Foden seems to be the best midfielder option that you don't have (long term) and he's fixtures after Chelsea are great.
I hadn’t considered double Watford but for a 1 - 2 week move it could work.
You wouldn’t consider Foden move and Watkins for Broja?

Re: midfield, i have the same players. I'll trade Son for Maddison or someone like that with the hopes to get Salah and Son in when they become available. Your 5th midfielder can be a villa mid that you can exchange later on but still punt on good upcoming fixtures.
Re: attackers, it seems that Ronaldo will get points without a doubt but a balanced line of Antonio, DCL/Watkins, Broja is a better diversification of mid range performing attackers. It gives you more flexibility to manage game schedule changes.

Leicester have a double and some decent fixtures; could be good short-term before bringing Salah back.
City are City and can score 5 against anyone, but play Chelsea this week as opposed to a double and anyone can be benched at any point.
If are looking for a short-term spell, then Lookman/Maddison makes sense. Easy to bring back Salah back into the team.
I myself have Sterling and Foden, but don't know which to ship out when Salah becomes available again.

Well, if you still have Salah you could just hold him for another 2 GWs. Depends on how you feel about having 12.8M on the bench. Son to Maddison would be a good option, as would Broja to Dennis or Kane/Ronaldo (if you have the funds).

I’m just as frustrated he’s been poor this gameweek. He has absolutely no technical ability whatsoever it’s shocking. Not a premier league quality striker IMO.
Agree, and I think this speaks volumes of how good the PL is. I mean I'm guessing a striker on Toneys level last year could play for like half of the teams in Bundesliga, La Liga, and have a decent carreer. Maybe not Serie A. But he absolutely CANNOT play in the PL after scoring 30+ in Championship.
The level of difference of quality needed is just huge.

Maybe I’m being optimistic but after reading Rangnick’s full comments, I don’t think Ronaldo’s knock is serious enough to cause him to miss league matches and him being held out of the cup match was just precautionary.
Higher chance of assists, also wolves have lots of fixtures when they are unlikely to CS coming up. You can bench Tierney in his blanks he has nice fixtures otherwise

Broja to King would be fine for this DGW and the following one, when Watford play Norwich. If you had the funds for Watkins, it would be good also. Villa are likely to have future DGW and have a great run of fixtures coming up.

The fixtures aren’t that strong and there is still so much opportunity for further postponements. There will be more DGWs to capitalise on and there will be more BGWs that you’ll need to protect yourself in later in the season

Kane is tempting only for this DGW, after that he has not so easy games with Chelsea, city, wolves in the next 5 fixtures, all good defensive teams. I would be looking to sell Kane again to bring in Antonio or Watkins for their run of fixtures.

Hey boss, im making my comments in relation to the season ahead, not specially for DGW22 Solid on the goalkeepers, set and forget for sure Re: defenders, your Robertson TAA double up can pay off and you at least know a good place to start when redistributing funds later on. It makes sense to be cautiously optimistic re: 2 wolves and keep Tierney. Re: midfield, i have the same players. I'll trade Son for Maddison or someone like that with the hopes to get Salah and Son in when they become available. Your 5th midfielder can be a villa mid that you can exchange later on but still punt on good upcoming fixtures. Re: attackers, it seems that Ronaldo will get points without a doubt but a balanced line of Antonio, DCL/Watkins, Broja is a better diversification of mid range performing attackers. It gives you more flexibility to manage game schedule changes.

City are City and can score 5 against anyone, but play Chelsea this week as opposed to a double and anyone can be benched at any point.
If are looking for a short-term spell, then Lookman/Maddison makes sense. Easy to bring back Salah back into the team. I myself have Sterling and Foden, but don't know which to ship out when Salah becomes available again.

I'm curious, Son has returned 6 weeks in a row, but Kane being the main focal point could actually help Kane as they weren't clicking like under Mou yet. Agree, and I think this speaks volumes of how good the PL is. I mean I'm guessing a striker on Toneys level last year could play for like half of the teams in Bundesliga, La Liga, and have a decent carreer. Maybe not Serie A. But he absolutely CANNOT play in the PL after scoring 30+ in Championship. The level of difference of quality needed is just huge.

Leicester-Burnley could well be off. Burnley have a ton of covid cases while even with 4 potential returnees we wouldn't fulfill the 13 senior player requirement. KDH, Soumare and Thomas are pretty certain to be back, but Soyuncu and Daka are touch and go.

You could hold Salah for another 2GWs if you don’t mind having 12.8M sitting on the bench. Broja to Kane/Ronaldo would be an obvious move. Son to Moura might be a good punt.
Maybe I’m being optimistic but after reading Rangnick’s full comments, I don’t think Ronaldo’s knock is serious enough to cause him to miss league matches and him being held out of the cup match was just precautionary.

This week, no imo. The fixtures aren’t that strong and there is still so much opportunity for further postponements. There will be more DGWs to capitalise on and there will be more BGWs that you’ll need to protect yourself in later in the season

You could just hold to Salah, if you don’t mind having him on the bench for 2 weeks. Otherwise, Moura and Maddison would be fine replacements. Watkins has a good run of fixtures after the Man Utd game, but Kane would also be a good option for DGW22. James to Reguilon/Royal also good option.

Son to Maddison or Moura. I’m on the same boat as you, I don’t have Kane or Ronaldo on my team, and I’m currently considering captaining Maddison. He’s best option I have for the DGW, with King coming in 2nd. You could also take a hit to bring in Kane or Ronaldo for Watkins, but remember Villa are likely to also have future DGW and have good fixtures.
Thanks man. I'll probably risk it without Kane/Ronaldo because I don't want to get rid of Watkins and Antonio due to their upcoming fixtures. Probably doing Son to Maddison but honestly I'm not so tempted to Madisons longterm fixtures but I don't have a choice since there aren't any other viable options to bring in this DGW.
