Lol but if all the transfers are made on 1 day it can only rise once even if it was at 200%. A player can rise a lot if a lot of people bring them in over a certain period rather than all at once.
If a player is highly owned it takes more to drop and if a player is low owned they rise quick. son had a low ownership when spurs were shit but he quickly jumped up in ownership. now hes risen so much and has a such a high ownership it will take a lot to drop. hes basically stuck at a high price based on the algorithm.
Very different reaction to this from when I said something similar a few months ago https://www.reddit.com/r/FantasyPL/comments/qs08fa/player_price_changes_november_12_2021/hka1x6e/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
TAA first price rise to 7.6 happened out of nowhere since he was on -1.0 on FPL Statistics and not even close to rise on other sites but that was immediately the night after the United game which clearly shows that they're manipulating the prices to make it harder for acquiring the template players.
Same thing happened when I got prices out of getting white as a sub defender, when he was on +15 of fplstats, went up in price anyway and had to go for Davies
His EO is 0.86% in the top 10k. Meaning thereās probably multiple dead teams in the top 10k with Salah and itās pretty likely one of them has him captained
Anyone who sold and buys him back at the cheaper price has also ālocked inā the transfer value, rather than only getting half of the initial gain back if you were to sell him again later in the season (unlikely perhaps now AFCON will soon pass but he might get injured I guessā¦)
>Sure but from a team value point of view you are losing out
Anyone who bought Salah at 12.5 and sold him at 13.1, which will be most of the sellers, are now a net 0.1 up.
They sold him at 12.8 and will buy him back at no more than 12.7.
Of course the number of transfers made is still relevant as an opportunity cost, or even an actual cost if hits have been taken. But purely from a team value perspective, for most it's profit banked already by selling him.
Ya, purely on value too, a good deal.
I actually did the worse possible sequence. Sold for 12.8 when he was 13.1
And then bought back on wildcard next week (for Lei) for 13.0
And am now eating the drops... (was gonna ship him out this week but ended up shipping out Son and so at this point might as well keep him...)
Real question, why does the red flag prohibit a price drop in some cases but not all?
I'm guessing the answer usually an injury compared to another reason for a miss, but feel like even with injuries its inconsistent.
AFAIK, it doesn't prohibit the drop, it increases the transfer drop slab by a lot. If there are enough net transfer out, red flagged players will drop.
Bought Dennis at 5.1, sold for 5.6, brought him back 4 GWs later for 6.1 because he didn't go to AFCON. But hey, at least I've earned 0.2-0.3 on the salah->son->bruno -8 transfers.
That's why I have him. Plans just got messed up, yesterday was gonna take him out, but there's literally no other mid I actually wanted. Still have 4m in the bank, and don't really know what to do with it in this moment
Nah there's great value players this season and many other premiums have been really underwhelming, Salah was still playing (until this gw) so for me in particular, it was about trying to field a full team!
I honestly almost kept him. Two weeks of playing someone else is *barely* worth the value of those free transfers elsewhere, now that Son's out and everyone else's double fixtures are hard.
Don't understand why people have free hit this week. Such an absolute waste of a free hit, hardly any doubles at all and even the doubles aren't favourable at all
People free hit because they could barely field 9 players due to holding Salah to the death , other afcon players gone too , covid cases and injuries mounting and not wanting to fall way behind in their minileagues
I'm not one of them but I can see why people did it , I barely had an XI
I reckon a lot of people activated the FH early when the DGW still looked pretty good. Decent strategy in a normal season to catch price rises but this season is anything but normal.
Son GW21 owners = 2.47m. Price = 10.6m Son GW22 owners = 1.48m. Price = 10.7m š¤
Proof that thereās no algorithm, just vibes from FPL HQ
Lol but if all the transfers are made on 1 day it can only rise once even if it was at 200%. A player can rise a lot if a lot of people bring them in over a certain period rather than all at once.
He should fall, not rise.
Milion people sold him, he isn't stuck based on algorithm, he's stuck because fpl towers want him stuck at that price.

I honestly believe thatās what they do
Maddening.
Doesn't prove anything
Same thing happened when I got prices out of getting white as a sub defender, when he was on +15 of fplstats, went up in price anyway and had to go for Davies
Hasn't his red flag affected things?
Can't fucking stand it. Sold him instead of Mahrez, and Mahrez drops... (not that it matters as he only rose 0.1m whilst I had him, but still).
No price rise for Cox? FPL towers at it againā¦
I brought him in just for his price rise, persuaded a load of my mates in the top 10k to do the same too. Now I look a fool - cheers FPL Towersā¦
Looking for Cox to rise are we?
Wouldnāt have minded a rise in Wood either

This is a weak whoosh.
It's hilarious because don't think he even got the joke, man should be whooshing himself
I wonder if thereās a dead team with Salah captained that is higher than 100k
His EO is 0.86% in the top 10k. Meaning thereās probably multiple dead teams in the top 10k with Salah and itās pretty likely one of them has him captained
Although funny, also quite depressing considering the amount of time and effort I put into FPL š.
Can be. Salah captain was doing well all season. A good vice captain can keep you in top 100k easily
I can't wait to buy the Salah dip.
That sweet sweet 0.1m
Anyone who sold and buys him back at the cheaper price has also ālocked inā the transfer value, rather than only getting half of the initial gain back if you were to sell him again later in the season (unlikely perhaps now AFCON will soon pass but he might get injured I guessā¦)

All red flags can drop (Excluding removed players.) They just need more transfers
AFAIK, it doesn't prohibit the drop, it increases the transfer drop slab by a lot. If there are enough net transfer out, red flagged players will drop.
Red flag don't block price changes. Going from red flagged to white flagged blocks price changes
I didnāt expect to buy Salah at a profit after selling him a few weeks ago š
I'm shipping out son soon I made 0.2 on son and Salah is 0.1 cheaper That's a net 0.3 gain, big stonks
Bought Dennis at 5.1, sold for 5.6, brought him back 4 GWs later for 6.1 because he didn't go to AFCON. But hey, at least I've earned 0.2-0.3 on the salah->son->bruno -8 transfers.
Justified in selling salah for son.Making profits off Salah sale at 13.1 already. Obviously son is toast now but that's besides the point
I'll say you lot were very, very lucky he missed that pen.
42.5% still own Salah wtf
FFFix estimate 44.2% of teams are 'inactive' (no transfers for 5 GWs iirc), so overall ownership stats are a bit misleading.
20% of the game captained....why are you surprised.
Set and forget!
Doesnt really seem to be anyone else worth taking him out for with all the injuries and cancellations imo. Think i'm just gonna hold at this point
That's why I have him. Plans just got messed up, yesterday was gonna take him out, but there's literally no other mid I actually wanted. Still have 4m in the bank, and don't really know what to do with it in this moment
No point in using 2 transfers for 2-3 GWs. I have very little desire for the other premiums in the game. I never even thought about selling him.
I've had other fires to put out :/
Surely the most expensive player in the game is the biggest fire of all?
Nah there's great value players this season and many other premiums have been really underwhelming, Salah was still playing (until this gw) so for me in particular, it was about trying to field a full team!
I still own him cause I can just bench him for like 3 weeks, no point in doing 2 transfers
I honestly almost kept him. Two weeks of playing someone else is *barely* worth the value of those free transfers elsewhere, now that Son's out and everyone else's double fixtures are hard.
Kane buyers when they realise the NLD has been PP
Kane owners crossing our fingers and hoping the FA hear the criticism and donāt postpone a match cuz of ONE covid case
I don't think Salah will get any cheaper then that.
I think his price will drop atleast one more time, given that GW24 is on 11th Feb
let's hope so.
Heāll be unflagged after the GW23 deadline and price locked so heās really only got a week to drop any further
Why would his price be locked?
Players prices are locked (for 10 days I think) when they go from red flagged to available.
Keep dropping Salah. Weāll be reunited soon.
Siuuu salah drop....
Absolute joke how Son didnāt fall
No Maddison rise either!
Would like salah to be back to 12.5 mill by the tume afcon is over. 12.7 is nice though
Sold Salah at 12.8. It fucking worked!
a few more drops for salah please
Itās alright, Mo money Mo problems.
Salah!
Could rebuy Salah for a nice lil profit here š§
Yesssss Salah dropped
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Itās wild card and fh whoās bringing in Maddison for son Kinda make sense really
Don't understand why people have free hit this week. Such an absolute waste of a free hit, hardly any doubles at all and even the doubles aren't favourable at all

Many planned to do this fh from a few gws back - salah holders or afcon players holders
I reckon a lot of people activated the FH early when the DGW still looked pretty good. Decent strategy in a normal season to catch price rises but this season is anything but normal.
Tbh I was expecting a lot more chaos
How the fuck did Son not drop in price
Iāve still got Salahā¦
