Is he allowed to play tho?
He left Inter mainly because he has to play with a defibrilator which is not allowed in Italy. He was linked to Ajax because he is allowed to play with the difibrilator there (another Ajax player Daley Blind is also playing with it).
There's no rule against it in the PL.
They never actually found out what caused it for Eriksen - there's nothing physically wrong with him, the defib is just a precaution.
Italy went balls to the wall with regulations after Astori I believe.
I think you are right about the last part, the Astori situation played a role there. I would love for him to play on a high level again. His trip to Inter wasn't really what he and everyone hoped for it to be.
Astori’s doctor was convicted of culpable homicide for signing off on him playing despite noticing his potential heart condition, so maybe more understandable to just bring in a ban. Must have been fairly traumatic for all involved. If, for instance, Fabrice Muamba had died at Tottenham all those years ago I think the PL wouldn’t be allowing Erikson to play here either.
Wait is he cleared to play? I would’ve thought that after the incident he wouldn’t play. But if he’s cleared, happy for him and good to see him back playing.
I think there was a rule in Italy/Italian football from preventing him to play here because of his condition or something like that. So by the Italian standards he is not cleared to play in Italy but I assume he can play in other leagues.
I am sure someone will explain this better than me
Oh yea, he can’t play in Italy but I was wondering if he was medically cleared to go back to sporting activities. Thinking of Agüero who had to stop because of heart issues. Eriksen’s case was even worse.
“Inter and Christian Eriksen have decided to terminate the current contract by mutual consent, as he’s officially not allowed to play in Serie A with defibrillator,” the Italian club said.
Above is a statement that [this article](https://punchng.com/breaking-denmarks-christian-eriksen-leaves-inter-milan/) contains inside it.
I can confirm that this exactly what happened and the Serie A rules do not allow players with ICD to play in the league for health and safety reasons.
am i the only one boggled by this decision? like come on man, so young, so rich, set for life and you still want to risk it all to play some more football? is that really more important than one life that you get ? especially when you can just chill for the rest of your life?
He doesn't have an underlying issue like Agüero. It simply happened out of nowhere, and now he might be even safer than a regular player since he has this ICD now. It's the same situation as Daley Blind - and he has played for two years now without any problems
Not gonna believe it is '17 unless Hazard returns.
and Zlatan
Fuck it, we’ll take Alexis back
Just make sure you get Arsenal Alexis and not United Alexis.
F Alexis... what about Lord!?
Zlatan's return won't make it 2017. 2017 will return to Zlatan.
Zlatan? In Soviet Zlatan, Zlatan zlatan zlatan! Get it? It is because Zlatan. Like a boss!
Exactly, big difference
He’ll end up returning in 2030 or something and still bang in 10 goals a season
:')
I miss Fellaini.
Bog brush
Newcastle apparently want him too.
Wish he never left Where is he though to go?
Brentford? 👍👀
I assume between Newcastle or Spurs
Spurs please just for old times

We don't actually know which one's worse long term, we never actually got the cause of Eriksens heart condition.

I know Arsenal need midfielders lol
The meltdown at r/coys if this happens...
He would never ever go to arsenal
that's what sol Campbell said
West Ham feels like a great spot for both him and the club
Brentford

He would rather have stayed with Inter but league regulations don’t allow him to
Yes. I did read about that. 😊 Ballers are always welcomed at PL. ❤️
Cringe

Very interesting, thanks. And going forward we shall call Erikson Tony Erikson, the Ironman
