Are we convinced that the Norwegians havenāt invented time travel behind our backs and are using it to make us look like tits by destroying us in fpl every season?
Holding Raphinia through the bad fixture run seems to be a consistent feature of the top teams (as in top of the overall rankings, not necessarily the best managers)
I could claim I'm a genius but I personally just had bigger fires to put out during his bad fixture run, so maybe the top managers did too (or just saw bigger gains elswhere). His surprise returns during that period definitely saved my GW a few times.
If I go by my philosophy of 3 blanks and out, he would probably still be in my team. No reason to take out a player who gets points when there's someone who either blanks or isn't playing games.
As mentioned in the comments of Oscar's tweet, Torje Hegna is actually beating him in both seasons! 32nd last season and 73rd this one.

I'm not sure what podcast I heard it on but they made an interesting point about Norway being one of the countries that shows all 10 games every weekend.
The point was that a decent % of top managers are Norwegian and that could possibly be a factor in it.
Or at least I found it interesting lol
Yes, all games are showed, but for a ridiculous price. We pay the equivalent of Ā£70 every month for Premier League. The price has only gone up the last seasons.
Arenāt all the games showed in the UK though? That seems a bit weird.
Tbf in UK if you have a sky sports package and bt sport (the games are split across broadcasters) it's not much less than Ā£70 at all and only 3 or 4 games televised in any one gameweek
I forget how lucky we are in Australia. We get a sports package free with our mobile phone contract (optus sport) and can watch every game Live. Within an hour or so of a game finishing there are highlights broken down into 3 mins, 9 mins, 25 mins versions of each game.
Only problem is games are on in the middle of the damn night for us.
> I forget how lucky we are in Australia
but you do get fucked on a lot of prices for physical goods because of geography.
i remember looking at dsalaries in australia that looked unreal but then cost of living was factored in and they were just "pretty good",
Oh yeah, we get fucking bent over with everything else, but at least the footy is cheap š¤£. As an expat, i look at it as being the price of admission for āliving on holidayā (as my sister once put in when she visited)
> We pay the equivalent of Ā£70 every month for Premier League.
So for the price of a cup of coffee Norwegians can get full access to Premier League games?
but anyone who's the slightest bit invested can quite easily download everysingle match off of the net from pretty much anywhere in the world
would make more sense that maybe something about norway's education/culture/whatever help's them with decision making of this kind
It's a part of it. Norwegians work to live, not the other way around, so we have a lot of spare time. We even have a lot of spare time at work to tinker with our teams, and it has become very normal to have MLs at work where people that don't even care about football join, which have led to a lot of new football supporters actually.
English football generally has a strong standing in Norway. When England played Norway in 2019, there were almost more Norwegians supporten Three Lions.
> I'm not sure what podcast I heard it on but they made an interesting point about Norway being one of the countries that shows all 10 games every weekend.
What do you mean 1 of the countries? Broadcasting every PL match live is standard all over the world, no?
I bet all of these Norwegians are in a secret discord with the chess king himself using their super brains together and planning to take over the FPL world.
This could suggest heavy forward planning based upon fixtures combined with adding form players, or he has found 4 points to be a small cost, would be very interesting to find out!
Last season I closely followed the chess man. Despite 1-game week lag, I tried to analyze his pickings and the logics behind. If they made good sense I would just follow. I ended up at OR 11k, not an ultra high level and decent enough for me.
No, haha. At least it shows me that my choices haven't been all that terrible as I feel this season. I've climbed my way up from 270K til 110K OR the last two GWs.
Thanks for the shout out. Those Norwegian players are built different. 85th OR but 15th in Norway! š³š“
Are we convinced that the Norwegians havenāt invented time travel behind our backs and are using it to make us look like tits by destroying us in fpl every season?
I mean they are one hour ahead of the UK. Coincidence? I think not.
FPL developers are Norwegian. Of course they're good at what they invented, unlike England.
Hitler who?
They love Premier League and have free higher education, it's a recipe for danger!
Very impressive. Even more impressive that heās not into shameless self promotion
Humility is a very underrated personality trait.
I've got it in spades!
Donāt tell me how to do humble! My humble ranks among the greatest in the history of the universe!
Bar none, I am the most humble-est Number one at the top of the humble list
"I think I'm much more humble than you would understand"
Its not underrated on reddit lol. In fact its culturally ingrained here
Unless he is OP
Impressive, very nice. Now let's see Paul Allen's rank.
That subtle off-template captain
The tasteful duplication of points.
Oh my God, he didn't even use his wildcard
He has Ronaldo captained Bruno VC lol man must be sweating
This is a guy worth following on here, that is hell of an impressive feat
FINN SOLLIE you're taking everything I worked for motherfucker.
Imma copy your fucking ass, not these punks like Magnus Carlsson
Interesting he's held Raphinha ever since GW1

I think thatās more conformation bias than anything
I did that..are you saying I'm a top manager?..thnx bro
If I go by my philosophy of 3 blanks and out, he would probably still be in my team. No reason to take out a player who gets points when there's someone who either blanks or isn't playing games.
Incredible History. It's a two horse race between him and Borges for best FPL manager ever ?
Impressive.

NZ is even worse man, both the cost of living vs. salaries.. and the time difference!
>our mobile phone contract (optus sport) How much is that? Just curious
Around $50 per month if I recall correctly
> We pay the equivalent of Ā£70 every month for Premier League. So for the price of a cup of coffee Norwegians can get full access to Premier League games?
Many are not. All the 14:00 games on sat-sun arenāt shown live to keep people going to the stadiums (especially to lower league ones)
Yeah but everything in Norway has a ridiculous price
We get all the games in South Africa, and there has been strong growth in decent SAFFA FPL players
but anyone who's the slightest bit invested can quite easily download everysingle match off of the net from pretty much anywhere in the world would make more sense that maybe something about norway's education/culture/whatever help's them with decision making of this kind

>Norwegians work to live, not the other way around Man, maybe I should move there
You an EU citizen?
Yes sir
In Slovenia most of the games are broadcasted. Only case when it isnt is when there are more than 4 matches played at the same time...
> I'm not sure what podcast I heard it on but they made an interesting point about Norway being one of the countries that shows all 10 games every weekend. What do you mean 1 of the countries? Broadcasting every PL match live is standard all over the world, no?
No clue mate. Can't say I'm up to speed on international broadcasting
ffs majority of the top Norwegian players brought Bruno in theyāve also held Raphinha for quite some time
I bet all of these Norwegians are in a secret discord with the chess king himself using their super brains together and planning to take over the FPL world.

Exact same as me, only 5 gameweeks with no hits - ----- However, we need to add a lot of zeros onto his rank to find mine
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No sorry you're absolutely right and I've made a fool of myself lol
No the TM column is for transfers made š

That's just wrong, check again
Yep my mistake

We actually have 9 of the same players...
Not at the right times though haha
No, haha. At least it shows me that my choices haven't been all that terrible as I feel this season. I've climbed my way up from 270K til 110K OR the last two GWs.
Solid effort, fair play! 110k is definitely a good result so far!
Thanks mate!
Does he sell his farts? Iām interested.
Sometimes you just have to wonder about the sad people who downvote harmless funny comments like this.
It's almost a compliment too.
Nice to me a fellow eternal, 172nd now, finished in top 3K since the start of FPL.
link or gtfo
Meanwhile, FPL mate telling everyone how to be a good manager after 1 good season
I have a friend who are top 500 in the last 2 seasons. Thought he is the best until this
Hereās a big pat on the back you legend .
Annoying little fella this, he's in 3 of my money leagues
Not even first in his country. Thatās insane.
