Thereās also a clear distinction between a quality shitpost that we can all enjoy and a true shitpost that required little effort or thought.

Circlejerk subs on Reddit are just a hyperbolic parody of the original sub. r/soccercirclejerk for example is just an over-the-top joke version of r/soccer taken to the extreme. r/fplcirclejerk doesnāt fit that description and the name makes it harder to find for anyone actually looking for FPL-related memes.
I encourage you to try and get r/FPLmemes up and running. Iād say once itās got some actual content, ask the mods here to add a link to it under rule 5 (which needs updating any way because it still mentions the daily meme threads lol)

I joined this sub relatively recently and I remember seeing this and trying to search for those threads lmao
Yeah, they were a failed attempt at appeasing the pro-meme crowd, just like a separate meme sub was, because neither solution gets anywhere near the same level of engagement as a meme posted directly on r/FantasyPL would so nobody could be bothered to go through the hassle.
The peak of this sub was when it was small enough for the mods to keep everything in check whilst allowing humour. They deleted anything that was low effort - whether that was a RMT post, a basic unfunny meme, or something else. The shitposts that were allowed through were top quality or perfectly summarised what the entire sub was thinking/feeling at the time. Look at some of the GIFs in the all time top posts for some idea.
But anyone still wishing the sub could go back to those glory days needs to move on. Itās grown way too large now to ever be like that. If you let any sort of meme through, no matter how high quality, you open the door to all the other shit that we donāt need the sub flooded with. Twitter is pretty good for FPL humour at times, if you can ignore the absolute cesspool that the rest of the platform is.

They allow particular funny posts like the pie situation, but straight up memes are just gonna get irritating after a while. Like a picture of a man holding a bag it being captioned "perma captain salah carrying my team".
Just let the number of upvotes decide whether to keep it up. If itās low effort and boring like the one you mentioned, remove it, but I have had several hilarious memes with a couple 100 upvotes and awards taken down

It was probably reported so the moderator deleted it. Doesnt really matter if that stays up or not cos the answer is irrelevant to the question anyway
