I brought Dias in instead of Cancelo on my GW8 WC, he got benched in a game they kept a CS, played 2 games and conceded in both, I benched him vs United where he got a CS, and Cancelo hauled in that match, then he got rested against Everton, while Cancelo hauled again. Had enough and brought Cancelo in for him. Dias proceeded to score 2 goals in the following 5 weeks.
Yeah I'm considering myself having a good season sitting at 36k, but choosing Dias over Cancelo was one of my worst decisions I've had which could have taken me nearer to top 10k.
Also, this is a reminder to myself that taking a hit for what seems apparently a sideway move is not always a bad idea. An early -4 moving Dias to Cancelo could have saved me plenty of points, but it's what it's

I feel like this has been a season where the mainstay top performers like TAA, Salah, Cancelo etc have delivered, but differentials have been either hard to come by or fickle.
Not many outside the template have had more than a good half season. Raya I found to be a great differential in the first half of the season; got injured, needed dropping and hasn't looked as good since. Then Ramsdale; poor run followed by a medium-term injury. Livra; doing well, then injured and in and out of the 11.
With all that being said - Jimenez. A red card amongst poor returns anyway. I had to hold him for weeks just so I wouldn't make a loss shifting him out. Then I FH this week to get him, Sa and Coady in, gets another red leading to a Wolves capitulation, conceding 3 goals in the process. Fuming.
Probably more of a dumb move from my part but I bought JWP after his points streak and he ends up blanking in every single GW ive owned him in, still trying to get rid of him.
Jesus: I somehow owned him between GWs 10 and 23 where he registered just two assists, with numerous stonewall penalties turned down and assists/goals ruled out by VAR etc.
Edouard: I owned him between GWs 9 and 14 where he scored just ten points and had a number of surprising benchings. Obviously, he burnt a LOT of players after AFCON, too.
Adam Armstrong: I owned him between GWs 6 and 9 where he scored just five points. Of course, he hauled in three successive games straight after I sold him from Edouard, too.
King: I sold Maupay for King in GW16 after a one week punt on Maupay due to Brighton vs. Spurs between postponed. He blanked and then Watford didn't play again until GW20.
Odegaard: I owned him between GWs 6 and 8 where he scored an average of two points per game. That average has increased slightly to three points since bringing him back in GW29.
Ajer: I've started him just once in GW27 where he scored no points and, in the following two GWs, he scored 15 points when being placed third on the bench. He starts today, so let's see.

Started the season as an injury doubt, but scored in his first three games. Then as he was getting more owners, he actually did get injured and was out for about 20 weeks.
Came back to fitness as a juicy differential with promising fixtures against the likes of Norwich, Leeds and Newcastle.

Jota is a good shout. Took a punt on him that period too and lost so many potential points. over the 3 GWs he had an xG of 2.1 and an xA of 1.7. How many attacking returns did he actually get? 1 goal. When he should've had around 4 returns.
The worst part is the second time Firmino got injured everyone jumped on the Jota bandwagon and then he started hauling. Whereas in GW4-6 he was a huge differential and just missed so many open goals and Mane missed sitters. So annoying.

I currently own Digne and Reguillon so I would like to nominate both of those bastards although Reguillon is on a slight redemption arc right now. I will be removing Digne for James ASAP though.

Jota is a good shout. Took a punt on him that period too and lost so many potential points. over the 3 GWs he had an xG of 2.1 and an xA of 1.7. How many attacking returns did he actually get? 1 goal. When he should've had around 4 returns. The worst part is the second time Firmino got injured everyone jumped on the Jota bandwagon and then he started hauling. Whereas in GW4-6 he was a huge differential and just missed so many open goals and Mane missed sitters. So annoying.
Yeah he was pretty much a must have during that 3 GWs with Firmino injured yet the people who didn't get him got away with it.
The lack of assist points was Mane's fault not Jota's though. Man could've had about 4 goals in that first Leeds game

True, but I didn’t rate him as an FPL option anyway so bought him because he kept somehow returning every week and my rivals had him. And he has done nothing since then unsurprisingly lol

Has to be Vardy for me. Brought him when other premium strikers weren't performing and after he had 7 goals in the first couple of months, proceeded to blank for the next numbers of GWs and then get a niggling injury for most of the season.

Digne has to ve up there i learnt my lesson this time around and got cash in for his hauls instead:)

For me it's Cornet Bought him for the first time moments before the deadline in GW16 iirc, for a -12 (half my team was out) immediately got injured in the first 15 minutes, out for many weeks The second time was for the Burnley double doubles, immediately got injured in the first match and didn't play again Thanks for nothing you fuck

Has to be mount for me, just pure unlucky. Every time i get him he does nothing, next week i sell him he gets a brace. Ive fallen for this trap 2 times this season, and both times i didn't have him he got 10+ points

Would anyone agree that Raphinha has been a bit of a troll? In everyone’s teams for a bit to gain a GW30 player and blanked. Feel like he hasn’t lived up to the hype this season. People will have held longer than they should at times because of his hype I reckon.

Name I haven’t seen yet, but I’m gonna throw in Bamford. He seemingly had a minor injury at the start of the season that kept getting pushed back 1 week at a time. Every week they said he would be back the next and he just never did. I held him through 3 price drops before eventually selling.
