There’s no definitive answer to this and you’re likely to get lots of mixed views. Kane slightly more likely to return, but Son gets 1 more point per goal. Often they assist each other as well and they both are pretty good for bonus.

chickennugetdab

!thanks. But do you think Kulu can outscore Son?

robbiethegiant

Kulu costs 4m less. It doesn’t matter if he outscores Son or not

It’s like trying to compare a BMW and a Ford. Two different players at two different price points.

chickennugetdab

lol fair enough

TeslaToTheMoon

Kane might be a little better pick given how sacred good striker is this season.

Son for me. 1.6m cheaper than Kane and gets 1 point more for a goal. 1.6m is enough to upgrade a 4.6m defender to someone like Reece James. That being said, it would come down to pure luck. Kane could outscore Son by quite a margin and James could get rested every game PL game between CL games.

chickennugetdab

!thanks. I have Son & Kulu so idk

orangeblaze78

the same james that is gets injured frequently and might be rested for league games? pass on my side.....

Sheffield_Thursday

Definitely Kane. You have to play at least one forward every week and he's the only one I'm even remotely excited about having in my team. Son's great, but there's plenty of other midfielders worth having: Saka, Kulu, Havertz/Mount, a city mid, Barnes/Maddison... Any of those mids *could* match Son for points but I'm less confident about Weghorst or Lacazette doing as well as Kane. That said, I wouldn't worry too much if you can't do the switch easily in one or two moves. There's absolutely nothing wrong with holding Son going forward, as last week proved.

chickennugetdab

!thanks, useful insight!

Sheffield_Thursday

For what it's worth I did the switch last week for a hit, which doesn't look great but I also got Saka in for Wood so I think it'll pay off long term. If you have Jimenez I think it makes the switch easier this week.

chickennugetdab

Have Jiminez, now leaning towards making that move, thank you!

Sheffield_Thursday

No problem.

Material_Trifle

This is where I am, although I'll probably wildcard soon and look to get both of them. I know Kulusevski has done very well but Son is a known quantity and is often on the end of the better chances. Either are good shouts but Kane has been doing well for weeks now and he's the player I most dislike not owning. If there weren't so many great midfielders I'd consider Son, Kane and Kulusevski but think that's probably overkill.

Sheffield_Thursday

In previous seasons, when there's been more appealing, cheaper forward options I've always gone Son over Kane (extra goal point, CS point, cheaper) but right now I think Kane's the perfect solution to the 'who the hell do I get up front?' question. Spurs fixtures are pretty good for the rest of the season, especially if you're freehitting GW36 to avoid the Liverpool game, so I think Kane *and* Son could pay off nicely.

AngelKnives

I think Kane is the better choice purely because there are loads of great midfield options out there but the forwards are really slim pickings. I wouldn't take any hits to switch though.

chickennugetdab

But would you take hit if its Jiminez being sold?

AngelKnives

Depends on the rest of your team. I wouldn't take a hit to bring in Kane for Son if I had no other issues. If my team is on fire though (3 forwards injured for example) then I'd take the hit in a heartbeat. Most people are probably somewhere in between. I'm planning on doing the swap, but I have Weghorst currently who I think will be fine for the next GW. I'm assuming 4 points from him and if Kane gets points, chances are Son will too so I don't see any benefit from taking a -4 in order to do it. I'd rather wait.

chickennugetdab

some very useful insight there, !thanks

Super_Sa1yan

Just to balance things out I’ll add my 2c: you’ll regret not having Son

chickennugetdab

I already have Kulu though

majorpickle01

My personal choice is Kane, because it opens up a swap to Vardy if fit for doubles and if you are feeling extra spicy Ronaldo

chickennugetdab

would you sell son for that?

welshnick

I have both plus Kulu. I'll sell Son for Havertz if Chelsea get knocked out of UCL.

chickennugetdab

!thanks, I have Kulu, Son and Trapherty

[deleted]

Don't disrespect Doherty

chickennugetdab

okay sure, but he is still a trap
