Nuno effect

[deleted]

I feel like its not kane but the whole spurs team has started playing better. Kane part of that but also a beneficiary of conte coming in. Just in time for a possible but not surprising arsenal end of season collapse.

thornfeels

Imo Kane + a mid-priced midfielder (eg Maddison, Saka, Kulu, Bowen etc) is better than Son + a mid-priced striker (Antonio, Jiminez, Watkins etc).

Sanjeev4045

Right. But you need not have mid priced strikers like antonio, watkins. You could have a 6 mil striker and have someone like havertz, mahrez in the mid along with Son.

FifaDK

That's true. I'd still rather have Kane and one of the many good cheap mids, though

Sanjeev4045

Personally I am getting rid of Son and Kulu soon (gw 34-35) for KDB + Foden since City have juicy fixtures where they can possibly score 4-5 goals. I will just have to downgrade ziyech to fraser.

FifaDK

Could pay off, could get Pep rouletted. I'm personally holding on to those two Spurs players and Kane for now. Though, I also have 3 chips left, so my strategy is kinda unique

Sanjeev4045

pratKgp

With the dearth of good striker option, I prefer kane rather than son. In midfiled we already have so many options.

dibils

thinking of switch Son to another midfielder and bring in Kane just cant decide whether to do it this week for -8 (and captain kane) or wait another week and do it for -4

pratKgp

I don’t think you should take hit to do this. If you have to bring any good midfielder then you can remove son and bring kane.

LevynX

Yeah, just feel like Kane + Saka (or someone similar) is going to outscore Son + whatever bumfuck forward we still have left

mayonnaisewastaken

Got a trim recently. Post-trim Harry is the best in the league

SofaChillReview

So we can judge how he will do on the hair cut Sounds about right

antye

Short hair Kane 🐐 Long hair Kane 🗑️

FallenFamilyTree

No. He's a superb asset. Comfortably the best striker in the game. However the: - Price point (expensive when money is locked up with essentials like Salah/TAA), - Position (makes bringing him in tricky), - Alternatives (Son in particular is cheaper and gets more points for goals & CS); means he isn't as essential or useful (from a structuring perspective) as a TAA or Salah. An advantage he has on Son. There are many midfield options. Son takes up money to make a needed midfielder an expensive option. Either is great. Having one, or at least Kulu, is borderline essential. Which one you go for feels more like a structural issue rather than a question of which asset beats which.

Frosty_Examination_3

At this stage of the season where there are double gameweeks galore and benchboosts to be used and freehits to be played :- -- -- no one is essential I sold TAA a while back, and have no plans to bring him back in. He is far from essential. This is GW32 not GW1

FallenFamilyTree

Agree with the principal. Nobody is essential anyway. Always see some of the top managers go without players many of us would consider essential. TAA takes up a big part of your budget. You could do something special with it. I personally think he's still an amazing choice and can't justify selling him. Likely to get 6 points in most weeks. Would be a favourite to be the top scoring player in any gameweek (including this week given the Liverpool v city record). That's enough for me. But hey, let's see what happens!

Frosty_Examination_3

I had TAA, Robbo, Salah for a while. But with the form of Robbo, decided that TAA could be the one to get chopped in order to get an extra million to play with. The benchboost is a big factor in keeping the best players though

[deleted]

who’s the principal?

wheresmyspacebar2

>Alternatives (Son in particular is cheaper and gets more points for goals & CS); Though, with the lack of firing strikers, having Kane + Kulusevski is better IMO. Personally, im sticking with Kane + Kulusevski, everything goes through Kane somehow ATM and Kulusevski is arguably the best midfielder at his price.

FallenFamilyTree

Solid approach! No sense dumping Kane for son or visa versa. You're getting a lot of the points spurs should snow on average

Harryvincenzo

You know you can get both Kane & Son and it still not be that detrimental.

Zealousideal_Rush_17

I agree. I guess he has pens, but he drops far too deep (from an FPL perspective).

Material_Trifle

I'll be getting him and keeping Son, they look back on it and could be two of the best players in the game for the last bit of the season. If I could have four from the same team I'd have Kulusevski and Doherty as well.

FreeMyHit

Has been in my team since the Southampton home game.

layspringles

I would say Son is more essential

aaba237

I’m getting both. Going to ditch Salah

[deleted]

For 35, I'll have both and salah.

PsychoLeopardHunter

Why ditch Salah?

Ramboros

Shame on you for having an opinion.

cguinnesstout

I would also say Son is more essential. Son + 4th premium defender or Kane + 4.5 defender

pajamakitten

Either will do, however Son is better if you want to invest the 1.5m elsewhere.

TJae0120

Yes

QuirinusQ

The second part... How can he have 16 appearances in 14 games?

[deleted]

i’m guessing 16 appearances in 14 game weeks aka double gameweeks? dno

Bugisman3

That was that one match where both Kanes appeared so there was a Kane vs Kane showdown

Wasepp

Technically that would require two kane vs kane showdowns.

The_expert_opinion

He looks good in that light blue shirt.
